I hope he just goes away! He can join that weed camp with Ricky Williams in Africa never to be heard from again!

If he gets an offer from any NBA team, he will be back. He is just in a rant because the Knicks said no.

I Love AI, he is a fantastic basketball player. I would love for him to be treated right, I think Phil Jackson would could bring out the best in him. He needs someone he can respect. Doc Rivers maybe? I loved watching him play, he is truly deserves to go out with respect. Love you AI and enjoy your time off...

As a season ticket holder for the Grizzlies, it is a joy to NOT to see him in the line-up. Given all the problems this team has faced, we don't need another drama queen that can't accept the fact the team has new, fresh, younger talent and he should wait his turn to COME OFF THE BENCH. I'd say, send him to Tanzania with his jerseys, we don't need him! He must realize, your attitude has an affect on people regardless of your talent, which isn't much, he doesn't have any rings. If Philly, Detroit, Denver and NY didn't want him after making an ass of the Grizzlies, I'd say let him sit his but down and find a do some soul searching because he is definitely lost and in need of much MENTORING. AI-ALLEN'S IGNORANT!!

It's not retirement if nobody wants you on their team Allen.

Iverson's retirement is the modern-day equivalent of a spoiled brat threatening to take his bat and ball and go home when things don't go his way.

Difference is, the 10 year old brat actually has LEVERAGE in that case - something Iverson lacks.

He won't be missed, especially because he's now known as a clubhouse cancer. No team is desperate enough for a primadonna has-been with salary demands to come in and eff-up their team chemistry.

Who cares? He's been a jerk his entire career. So he can play basketball. I wonder if he can pass freshman English?

He saw it worked for Brett Favre and figured, "What the heck?!" He will stay retired until some team kisses his tushy and caters to his need for attention.

It's time to take off the jersey, of whatever team you are playing. He has been with so many team lately, I can't even list them. I'll remember him as a '76 er. He seems tired mentally, and that affects your play. No team really wants him. Except the Knicks, and that shows you desperate they are.

Apparently, he was talking to the Knicks and couldn't work out a deal. A place in the spotlight, at Madison Square Garden. Whoever put the ka-bosh on the deal was smart. His days are over.

It's very sad to see AL leaving the game he loves the most this way. AL! I always consider you as my son, you still have a lot more left in your tank, you are one of the most talended players in the NBA history Mr. "the Answer" despite your age you can still compute at higher level and teach these youngesters how to play the game your lost the most, you even love it more than sex. Please don't go, we still need you AL

I've followed this young man's career in Philadelphia, where the sport's media piled on the insults, even though he was one of the most intense players on the team. And then he went to Denver and had to play second fiddle to a very immature, lazy Carmello anthony. He reacted poorly to the inappropriate use of his skills in Detroit. However, I wish someone who can appraise talent will pick him up. He is exciting to watch. He is also demanding of the players who take the floor with him. So, whoever picks him up needs to have mature players who will match his intensity.

The sixers need iverson right now. They would be crazy not to sign him. The team needs him and so does the box office. I say bring him back and then he can retire from the team where he was remembered the fondest.
