I personally am sick of all the Gator Haters. Florida is defending National Champs, they've won 21 straight and they play in the toughest league in the nation. The Gator haters rap; they're not winning big. Well, Alabama's not exactly tearing up the scoreboard and Texas plays in a cupcake league. I can remember not too many years ago when Florida and all the Florida schools were roundly criticized for running up the score. Gator haters , you know the saying; "You can't have your cake and eat it too".

Chattanooga? Florida International? Charleston Southern? Vanderbilt? Troy? Kentucky? North Texas? I guess the SEC teams play a few cupcakes, too.

Not a Gator Hater, matter of fact, my son goes to that college. But when they barely win and Texas has a blowout, and Texas goes down in ranking, something is wrong. Gators are a great team, and I still think they deserve 1 ranking, but bama shouldnt be 2.

uwlaw5856: Good point. San Jose St should be ranked above Bama. Thanks for bringing this ridiculous justification to this posting.

You shouldn't rank a team by 'who' they played, but 'how' they played.

              Bama is overranked.

Duh? And who the hell is San Jose State? Who have they played and how well have they played? Let me see if I can remember; Bama beat Va Tech (top ten at the time); LSU (top ten at the time); Arkansas (had been ranked); Ole Ms (had been top ten); Tennessee (traditional hate rivalry); North Texas (who are they?); Chattanooga (walk over team); Ms State (strong rivalry); Auburn (always unpredictable); Kentucky (hmnnn weaker team); South Carolina (had been ranked); and someone else. I think the strength of schedule is a bit higher than TCU, Boise State, Utah, USC, San Jose who-the-f88k cares, and they are still undefeated.

What difference does it make? Fans are guaranteed two championship games if the top three stay the same. Florida will play Alabama in the SEC title game and Texas will play the winner in the BCS Championship. The only complaint could be that the other unbeaten teams won't have a shot, however, in reality who really believes that Boise State, Cincinnati or TCU are better than Texas?

I do. Look at Texas' strength of schedule versus TCU strength of schedule. Texas beat Wyoming on a nice September day 41-10. TCU beat Wyoming on a 31 degree winter day 45-10. In reality, TCU is better.

But let's be honest. Comparing the scores of one game does not tell the whole story. How many solid teams does TCU play over the course of the season? Maybe two or three and most of those are not ranked in the Top 10. Being the hunter (TCU) and the hunted (Texas, Florida, Alabama) is a much different ballgame in terms of pressure. TCU is an outstanding team. I am not saying they could not beat any of the Big Three, but doing it one game in comparison to over the course of the entire season is comparing apples and oranges.

                  Roll Tide!

TEXAS will win the BCS title. With their number one scoring offense, the number one rush defense and one of the best secondarys in all of football I cant see anyone giving them a hard game.Florida should beat Alabama then the title game will be one of the best in the last 10 years.I only say this because Tebow is a great talent but they have not faced a defense with the skill of Texas. As far as Texas vs. the Fla d Colt will have his normal 300 plus yard game and the special teams will make a huge impact. The little schools such as tcu, boise and cincinnati you have no case until you join a real conference.Dont complain about Texas,Fla and Alabama's nonconference schedule when you play no one in your own conference. The Big 12,PAC 10 and SEC would welcome any of you,but you know you wont come! Preach on, brother! While I believe the Horns will be playing Alabama instead of Florida, I agree with you 100 percent in terms of your comments about non-conference schedules for the Big Three (Texas, Florida and Alabama). These teams must schedule a few softer games outside the conference because those in conference as so tough--much tougher than the conference games faced by TCU. At least give Alabama credit for scheduling Florida State, Clemson and Virginia Tech outside the league the last three seasons. Penn State rotates on for the next two years followed by Georgia Tech and Michigan State.

Roll Tide! See you in Pasadena! Hope the Horns do well against the Aggies and the 'Huskers! As a 'Bama fan, I am thrilled at the possibility of Alabama and Texas playing in Pasadena. Could you ask for more--two or the most storied traditions lining up in the most tradition-rich stadium in the country? Win or lose, this would be a classic. Let's hope it plays out

I am from Florida but I feel they did not have a very difficult schedule this year and barely won some games should have lost to Arkansas but the refs were on their side. It will probably be Texas vs Alabama and we will finally see Tim Tebow is not God.

Dont think so - they wont beat Florida because Teebow wont lose - its more his character than his skill - the guy is amazing. Texas will likely lose to A&M or Nebraska or both because they are not consistent. Even the overhelming bias of the BCS cant bring Oklahoma in this year although I am sure Stoops is lobbying anyway. Too bad we cant see Florida vs TCU for the title game. But it will probably take Florida beating Alabama twice to get the title and they will probably do it

The Gators should be ranked 3rd at best. The only reason they're undefeated is their amazingly easy schedule, period. Gator fans have been pouring out of the woodwork like cockroaches and hopping on the Gator bandwagon in droves. Unfortunately most of them are crude, rude, obnoxious, and cocky "other team" haters themselves. There's only one way to go when you're on top and that's down so enjoy the ride while it lasts. My $$ is on the Crimson Tide in the SEC game. UF is loooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggg overdue for a crushing defeat. When it happens I can't help but wonder if Teblow will cry like a little girl again?

With all due respect to thus forum, I relish the chance to see Texas vs Florida, my reasoning? Simple, Texas is in a conference that is mediocre at best right now, their closest rival in Oklahoma played with their second string quarterback, they did beat that powerhouse Kansas, they will be facing the best Defense in the nation, they will find out why they don't play in the SEC week after week, and finally and foremost we'll see which team wins and I can see the future, good luck horns. Oh, just one other thing please, please don't lose to the Aggies or Nebraska, I think TCU would be a more dangerous foe to play against.

The Big 12 is an extremely weak conference, not as weak as the Big 10, but still weak. Colt will find out what it is like to face a gatling gun when either Florida or Alabama destroy their flag football team. Texas is a nice team with good players; however, they couldn't beat TCU in their own state. How many loses would Texas have if they had to play in the SEC, most experts say between 2 and 5...I'd say 3. But if they can beat the very average Aggies and the team that lost to Iowa State they will be sorry they got what they asked for.

teboe has never faced a D as bad@## as Texas. I do hope he tries to run against Texas. All the sec peeps will see once again Texas should be right where they are.

                                              Run teboe run!!

Ok, I am going to try this again as it only decided to record my first line. Florida has the #1 ranked D, so I dont know where anyone is getting that Texas has this greatest defense. Second, it wasnt long ago that Ohio State was saying how all world they were and how limited Florida was on offense until they got 42 hung on them and their QB is still somewhere trying to avoid sacks. So you cant go by schedule or style of game. You might be in for a shock. Florida is #1 for a reason. 2 full deep on defense and loaded on offense with the best coach in the country who rarely loses with a month to get ready for anyone.

I think the top 4 teams can beat one another on any given night. It will be a tough job to pick who gets to play in the National Championship. We need a playoff already.

After reading the above posts, I think people/media need to get off Ohio State's back for a so called "easy" schedule....The SEC teams don't exactly have extremely difficult schedules...Go Bucks! Rose Bowl Bound.

Please dear; take your blinders off and start watching some real football when Bama plays Auburn (regardless of record) or LSU, or Ole Ms, or Florida, or Arkansas, or Mississippi State, or Georgia, or Tennessee, or South Carolina. While teams records vary, these are usually strong opponents. Kentucky and Vanderbilt vary. And, in addition to the creme puffs, Bama does not hesitate to play Virginia Tech, Clemson, or Penn State as outside conference games. Almost every team played is still ranked among the best even after being beaten by Bama. Roll Tide!

how can anybody say tcu or alabama or gators are better than Texas if they havent play yet Im not saying Texas are better until they prove it but im not saying they are the #2 or #2 or #4 once they prove who they can beat, which very sure they will then I can say okay. you guys Texas is the #1 cause they are the champions but until then is dumb to say bama or gators or Tcu are better, Gators fans this is the 2009 season Fl was the champion last year because they did not played Texas just for that simple reason, but c'mon is easy to talk trash about a good team when your team havent faced Texas,,, for all the dreamers and fans we will se at the end who ends victorious , my shot is for T but not 100% if I would be i will be a millionarie
