For Belichick it was spygate. For Mangini it was hiding that Favre was injured. For Weis, it's hiding his bad health.

Plenty of arrogance along with secrecy prevail---Belechick gets away with it because of the success he has enjoyed----others try, but fail.

To oversimplify the genius of a man that gets so much from subordinates, yet watches them fail when they are on their own, sems silly.

yes it was a gutty decision he did,,, but thats not because he's arrogant,, he just too good for the coaching and he'd proved before,, i am a New England Fan and i agree with wath he did,, he's got 3 superbowl championships and another appeareance at another superbowl it tells me that he knows much more than anyboy of us what his job is,,but he is human,,, and can make mistakes too,,, not saying that call was a mistake,, but hes a genius. not good,, to know averything its going to appen after each play,,,

He's been successful because he's been cheating for years. How do you call that 'genius'. The man has no class and it is finally coming out in the open.

If Faulk does not bobble the ball.....BB is an unquestioned Genius. Hey....it was a reasoned gamble and the result did not work....THIS TIME. I will not question a professional who has the credentials and the record of performance he has earned.

Great call by BB . . . it was the offense that failed to execute the play.

The offense executed; it was a completed pass play. Why was the call for a play designed to get only the yards needed. Why not open it up a bit more; go for 10 so if you get 8 you still move the chains?

Not questioning the strategy, just the tactics.

Belichick. and he is obvious to ME, is a top coach, and gets the best out of his players, just about every week...So he made a poor call in last weeks game, but it is over and done in his mind period, except for the arm chair QB'S...?

If I had been in his place, I would of done the same, EXPECTING MY TEAM to make it....like he did....but so what....it's only a game. This guy is top notch, but a realist on Monday, starting the process all over again....YEP!

I just hate the guy. His post game anti social behavior and his complete lack of personality in press conferences make him a tired read. He has coached some great teams, but he is still the guy who had Brady on the bench behind a completly useless Drew Bledsoe until an injury forced him to use Brady. Then we find out how good Brady is and Belichek's a Genius? I say that he has a great defensive mind for the game and he has had a lot of luck. He is no Bill Walsh and No Chuck Knoll.

Folks just give it a break. Whether you like him or not, he has won 3 Super Bowls and has won more games than he has lost. He will win more game in the future before he moves on. For the teams coming up on their schedule, the Pats are pissed now and have something to prove.

Excellence is the only way to describe Coach Belichek and his coaching. Gamble, shamble, week in week out he brings it. He'll just keep winning like the other greats until he's done and in the Hall.

to everyone who keeps talking about the 3 superbowls I have one question - how many would he have won WITHOUT cheating? Maybe one. If you disagree think back on the last one - if Brady knew the Giants were blitzing don't you think he would have tossed a screen instead of getting put in the grass? Get real, any average coach could have do it if they knew what the other team was going to do.
