Lebron is highly overrated, a ball hog and undeserving of last years mvp and Shaq is over the hill!!!
2nd Game - 80 more to go... it's just the start of the regular season
Sort of to not really. James is a great player but a ball hog who is always shooting for the team and the old adage of there is no "I" in team because once you get past James then the Cav's are just an okay team rather than a great team. Regardless they still will be in the playoffs and how far they go is up to them.
The ENTIRE Team needs MAJOR WORK, including Coach Mike Brown! LeBron James cannot carry the entire team!!! If he does it will be the LAST year he plays with the Cavs & Cleveland will reach the Trifecta of Crap Sports! (BAD: Basketball/Football & Baseball). The 2 Tower Centers are just TOO OLD & SLOW!!!
Lebron is the real deal. But he needs to play with a mobile big man like Chris Bosh to reach his full potential. Shaq is a big dinosaur, that will only slow him and his team down. They were better off with "Z". Because he can at least hit a jumper. All Shaq can do is dunk. He doesn't play good defense. He doesn't block shots (despite his enormous size). He doesn't run the floor anymore. And he is very lazy (didn't even bother to learn the Cavalier's play book during the offseason). In other words; he continues to behave exactly like the lazy slob Kobe Bryant accused him of being in LA. And I'm not even a Kobe fan (but he was right). Today's version of Shaq is a total liability on that Cavalier's team just like he was in Phoenix. He slowed Steve Nash and the high powered Sun's offense down to a crawl. He did the same thing in Miami (before getting booted out) after the one shot Dwayne Wade led Championship.
Unfortunately for Shaq, the NBA has evolved way beyond Jurassic bred, lumbering centers like him. he is a relic from the 1970's-1990's brand of NBA centers. Modern centers can run the floor like Power Forwards and shoot from the outside (Dwight Howard, Jermaine O'Neal, Andrew Bynum, Tim Duncan). In fact, Successful modern teams actually feature 2 power forwards in the middle (Garnett/Rasheed Wallace, Bynum/Pau Gasol, Oden/Aldridge). Unfortunately, Lebron is handicapped tremendously with 2 retro dinosaurs (Shaq/Z).
My fearless prediction is that Lebron will become so frustrated with this mismatch that he will bolt for NY after the season and team up with Chris Bosh to reignite a Knicks resurgence. The Knicks have the money & the stones to sign both and surround them with serviceable role players to contend for a title immediately.
Any team that runs a box & 1 as their offense for most of the game should be worried, complement that with the fact that their superstar refuses to guard the best wing or post player on the other-side and you have MAJOR MAJOR problems LOL
I actually love it that Shaq is on this team....they are being slown down to a crawl with shaq on the team, and if you hadn't noticed by now, little by little, Lebron's true colors are comming out. He is selfish, and is a horrible teammate, so be prepared for him to act out this year. Finally, everyone is seeing what Kobe Bryant had to deal with, EVEN WHEN SHAQ WAS IN HIS PRIME he was slowing down the offense.
shaq started slow when he came to the lakers so let's give it a few games before we panic" but when we do it will be a real big panic panic for the cav's!!!!!!
