Brian Matusz won his fourth straight start and Brian Roberts hit a go-ahead single in the seventh inning off struggling A.J. Burnett, leading the Baltimore Orioles to a rare 4-3 win over the New York Yankees on Monday.

I do not know if Girardi is going to Chicago but if he does I hope he takes Burnett with him . How he could stand on the dug out steps and watch such a lousy job and do nothing is ridiculous. I did not count all but it seems like half of his pitches were in the dirt. If Posada was catching probably 75 % would have gone by before he would have to have replaced him from fatigue. The Yankees are in a tight race you can not help with poor decisions.
Whata ya mean by the Yankees loosing a -RARE-_home loss to the Orioles? Whenever these two teams play you can forget the standings. There is this innate rivalry between the two.
girardi should not have sent burnett out in the 7th inning. in fact he should have been pulled after the third.
what does it take for girardi to see that burnett just plain sucks. he is not playing for the yankees but for EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEIR OPPENENTS. get rid of this lacklustre performer. trade him. bench him. send him it itty-wah-itty. JUST GET RID OF HIS ASS.
I just don't understand why they keep him.. Every time I hear that he is pitching my skin crawls..It's almost a for sure thing if Burnett is pitching then the Yankee's will loose.
And what's with him not wanting Posada to catch..that should have been another sign for Girardi right there. GET HIM OUT OF NEW YORK NOW!!!!
Burnett wasn't that impressive when he was with the Marlins, don't know why some thought he had potential. Glad he left, waste of money. Should be a poster-child for Icy Hot (or ?) with all his aches & pains over the years.
