I long admired Brett but the way he yanked Green Bay around then did the same with the Vikes in a soap opera fashion , I'm sick of it ! Now I say who cares !
I always admired Brett, but the last few years of the merry-go-round has soured me on him. I agree, who cares?
The early reports on his possible replacements is not good.
This season is going to hurt. The Vikings have the second toughest schedule after the Cowboys.
(Sigh)
who cares about the Cowboys? and what does that really have to do with Brett Favre??
The guy is the same arrogant self centered jerk he has always been. He is a "Brett Player" and not a team player, and never will be. He thinks he is the team, and everyone else is unnecessary. His arrogance is greater than his skills, and his ego surpasses both of them.
He is too old, slow and damaged (ankle), but i still think that he will play again.
He'll be back. He's just building up the tension. The Vikes will move forward with what they have and the worry will escalate that their season is doomed then, with the third preseason game, Farve will ride into Minneapolis in his white chariot (driven by Chilly) to be adored like Cesear.
He will come back as long as someone is willing to pay him.
He won't practice until just before preseason. If he starts to early, he will run out of steam midway through the season.
He will always be a prima dona!!!! He doesn't play for the team, he plays for the adoration.....
Note to Brett: The best team you ever played with is the one that put the only Super Bowl ring you will ever get on your finger......
GO PACKERS!!!
Heck no, he needs to blubber and cry some more to show what a real man is, he is such a jerk, please, just leave.
So sick and tired of over paid pro athletes who can't do sh** except complain and cry about their life. It is time fans boycott the high ticket prices and high salaries of these low life criminals, thugs, drug addicts and unprofessional children.
The Vikings have little more than a month before they play the World Champions. I doubt that even he would be playing games with them.
Favre's done. He should go do sideline broadcasting, he's got the personality and sense of humor for it, and he knows all the players, coaches, and officials.
I take my last post back. Yes, he's afraid of the Saints, but he'll come back just before the first game. But not soon enough to play that game. But he will take the first snap, to keep his record going.
Ford Broncos are better than the Denver Broncos
...silly screen name, but it made me laugh!
Yawn. Yes and No or is it No and Yes? Let me know when he comes on the field. He's retired and come back so many times nobody cares.
I think I would be great for all of us Green Bay fans to work it out so he could retire a Packer. All the way Green Bay, all the way!!
You MUST be kidding!!! Please tell me that wasn't a serious comment!! After his total disregard for the legacy of the Packers, and the fact that the only Super Bowl ring he has came during his time as a Packer, I don't even want him in the Packer Hall of Fame!! He jerked around the very people who made him a household name, and the fans that supported him when his wife had cancer, and when his Dad died. He can retire anything BUT a Packer!
are you kidding me? after playing for the much hated Vikings the way he did? Brett does NOT deserve to retire a Packer!
p.s. also a shareholder
I heard that he was going to hold out for a year or two and play for Da' Bears.
Yeah, and all us Viking fans wish he would just leave and retire a Packer.
I grew up a Bears fan and even I was insulted when he wen to the #$%^ VIKINGS!
Go away Brett.
Boo-hoo this guy needs a serious reality check. Would've-could of...Doesn't he have a wife and kids? Really? who's he thinking of...and if he thinks it's his family at anytime..he's only kidding himself! Yea...he'll leave a crippled old man for his family to take care of and then have his own little pitty party at everyones expense.
Who gives a flip? Some of these athletes (Favre, TO, 85, etc) are addicted to attention. I wish Favre's parents had paid more attention to him so we would not have to endure this neverending drivel. Does Vince McMahon write this soap opera?
There was a report out of MSP last week that Diana renewed her membership for a year at a Twin Cities health club. If that is true, this saga is just repeating itself again.
As a life long Packer fan, nothing pains me more than his actions. A legend in a city that places Packer legends on a pedestal for all eternity and he has to act this way. A very sad story.
It's a statement of his (lack of) credibility that I put more faith in a report that his wife renewed her health club membership than Brett actually saying, "I'm retired." He should just skip the announcement. Blah, blah, blah.
Being a Packer fan, I hope he never comes back. But we know Bret, the best. He'll be back. For once he gets that itch to play and get back at the Pack. He'll show up at traing camp!
This is an ugly, painful, nonsensical deja vu all over again...and again...ad nauseum...
Who freaking cares?
Don't we have other pressing issues in our country......like our troops overseas, wouinded veterans (from ALL conflicts), our kids, economy, unemployment and the list goes on......
Would someone tell him and his agent to simply STFU!!
Don't we have other pressing issues in our country......like our troops overseas, wounded veterans (from ALL conflicts), our kids, economy, unemployment and the list goes on......
It's called a "diversion" (in more ways than one), and we need one every once in a while...I'd like to give you two votes for the "STFU" suggestion, though!
I agree with your thoughts on "diversion".....good point. Thanks for the "votes" on the STFU. Seems fitting this time around.

Should have learned from Ali... The guy should have quit while he was ahead and not brain damaged. The average age of an ex-NFLer is 57!!!
