I too am hoping for an OU / NU title game. The Sooners, on paper, look to be ready to re-take ownership of the south.... but one can never count out the Horns. Nebraska looks to be head and shoulders above all others in the north. As a die-hard Sooner fan (and now a student) I am saddened that our "true rival" is leaving the conference. I will always cherish those days when the Big 8 title was settled  during thanksgiving weekend (along with Bama-Auburn, Ohio state -michigan...man, how great was that?) To Nebraska, I say farewell, old friend. You were a firce competitor, and always showed class. Best of luck in the Big 10

Texas Tech will be the suprise of the Big 12 South. Although I am worried about Tommy Tubberville as the coach and what offensive scheme he will run, I think Tech has enough returning seniors to beat Texas and Oklahoma. Mike Leach was a offensive genious but was lacking in common sense. Now they bring Tommy Tubberville in which is a defensive minded coach, so they should be well balanced.

The Texas Aggies have an improved defense to go with the best offense in the conference and will be able to win several high scoring games.

Here is the deal...A&M had the #1 offenses in the Big 12, North & South, last year along with the #1 Quarterback in all categories...and with the addition of a Defensive Coordinator who had the #3 Defense in the Nation...which is where the Aggies fell short last year...oh where was the Wrecking Crew of old...there is not much that is going to be stopping the Aggies this year...Shades of Jackie Sherrill and the Aggies of the 1980's....LOOK OUT HERE WE COME tu...GIG 'EM!!!
