Will this dude ever go away. If Lance used, he was good enough not to get caught. The same can't be said for Landis, who is now bitter because no one believed him when he said he did nothing wrong.
I believe Landis is telling the truth.
Based on what? I don't know of Lance used, but the evidence is lacking with the exception of LeMonde, who doesn't have anything solid besides what he allegedly saw, and Landis is the same. He passed every freakin' test.
Why believe him now? Landis is an admitted cheat and liar.

I never quite understood how destroying someone else's reputation sanitized or elevated the accusers' reputation. assaulting someones character will NEVER mitigate your personal responsability and complicity for engaging in improper and illegal behavior.
Good thoughts, requisite. As I've said before, and will now say again, Lance Armstrong would have been insane to use drugs after the almost deadly battle he fought with cancer. The doctors truly had the man "dead" and he fought back. I wonder why it's so hard to grasp that the man is a truly great athlete who worked hard for what he got.

Yeah pretty common for a world class athlete to get cancer in his 20's even if cancer is a projected side effect of using steriods and vertually every other member of his team back then admits to using. Probably all just a coincidence really huh?

Lance had testicular cancer that spread throught his lymph nodes to his lungs and brain. If you would do your research you would know that this type of cancer is highest in men in their twenties and early thirties, and no you don't have to be using steroids to get it. Lance has been the most tested athlete in the world and has NEVER failed a test. Clean or not that fact is undisputed. Floyd Landis and Greg Lemond (who I both used to admire) are both crying over the fact that another American cyclist is more popular than they are.

Sure, he's arrogant. I believe he'd be impossible to live with, which proably explains his failed relationships. But is he a cheat and a liar like Floyd? I certainly hope not. So far, NOBODY has provided any substantial evidence - until they do, Lance is innocent. If this upcoming investigation fails to produce any evidence, I hope Lance turns all of his arrogance on Greg and Floyd and sues them!

I don't get it. Kobe isn't accused of taking drugs. LeBron either. Yet, a man as talented as Michael Jordan in the cycling world and someone like Sham-dis is trying to ruin the reputation of a man who has not only NEVER failed a drug test but has also done more for cancer than almost anyone.
Floyd - do yourself a favor. Shut the hell up. You think that even by exposing Armstrong you think the future of cancer has any chance to get someone like Armstrong to get big names on board with developing cures and sponsoring research? Why don't you find a different cause instead of being a sulky little boy for having been caught doping. (Something - Armstrong has never done!)

Floyd spent 2.2 million dollars --including other peoples money-- in a protracted effort to discredit laboratory results that he knew were correct. I have to wonder why he has to keep stirring up as much trouble as he possibly can: is it because he fears himself vanishing without a trace from what was once his whole world?

armstrong promoted a culture where it was mandatory to dope in order to compete...google "outside magazine epo deaths". the only way to avoid further deaths is to shine a light on the truth...armstrong could also save the american people's tax money by taking responsibility for his behavior and admitting his guilt...he's only fooling half of the population...
The fact that Landis's truthfulness is suspect, to imply that Armstrong cheated is perhaps as much about ratings as it is in finding the truth. This whole matter needs to run it's course. Let's not be so quick to start crucifying Lance. Until he's been proven guilty, he should continue being given the benefit of the doubt.
Hasn't Lance already admitted that whatever drugs they found in the samples they took from him and had frozen to preserve were the residuals from his cancer treatment??? I mean, really, do all of you who crucify him want him to start fabricating stories now just to satisfy your thirst for scandal? He's been honest about all of his past treatments and hasn't failed a drug test once; he even welcomes testing to prove he's not a doper. What more do you people want? He's a tremendous athlete and I have nothing but respect and admiration for him.
I believe Armstrong is guilty; rant and rave all you want,I believe that he is. However, I also believe that Flandis is telling the truth. The thing I wonder about this Flandis guy is why does he insist on bringing this up over and over again? You're right, drugs and sex are not new to sports, but that doesn't mean that everyone involved in sports is doing drugs or jumping on everyone they meet. The fact that Lance Armstrong came within inches of dying of cancer and fought like a tiger to keep his life leaves very strong doubt that he did what Landis is accusing him of doing.

" I have no idea why" Frankie and Betsy Andreu would say such things. Poor Lance, his team mates are just so against him...and we have no idea why....something is smelling I think, and the FEDS are checking it out....just saying

armstrongs doping is not new news...the american press never covered it because he was our golden boy...please, cycling is saturated in doping, inform yourself....don't believe the manufactured hype....it's all about $...armstrong was not immune.

Why does LeMond do this? 1. LeMond was the 1st American to win the Tour. Lance's winning streak has substantially dimmeed the spotlight on LeMond. If LeMond can kick Lance out of the Tour and discredit him in the process it will help him recapture the spotllight. 2. LeMond is a bike producer whose bikes, I believe, have never been used by Lance, who has used mainly Treks. Trek is in LeMond's sights as well and is involved in the court procedings. What is the relationship, if any between LeMond and Floyd?
It sure looks like they may have "teamed" up on this thing, with LeMond implying that there is all kinds of "evidence" out there about Lance. LeMond has been chewing on sour grapes ever since Lance won the Tour title 7 times and he and Landis seem to make a dandy team.
Hopefully, this will all go away, soon.
Lemond saw doping in the sport first hand- it isn't sour grapes- it's seeing people cheating and turning cycling into a competition of who has the best dr's and drugs. Anyone that respects the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play should be just as angry as Lemond but judging from a large % of comments about this issue Americans don''t seem to care about fair play anymore...it's not just cycling either- we're not setting a good example for future generations.
I wish Lemond was still making bikes I've noticed alot of bicycle dealers in my area aren't carrying Trek bikes anymore whats that about. Lance is a phony and a doper Lemond is a better champion
