I agree. Every time Armstrong has participated, he has been the target of the most drug testing of any particpant, and he's always clean. For some reason that just bothers people beyond compare. It ridiculous that we have yet another prosecutor looking to make a name for himself. I guess he didn't get enough recognition in college.
I think Rudy said it all, look at the testing records, Armstrong has been tested far more than any other racer and they haven't found a thing.
Until they do catch him doing something illegal, it is all hear say and that is not good enough!

Vulcan One-Bonds did test positive, Bonds said he didn't knowingly take drugs. That is why he was ostracised.
I doubt the investigation will ever be completed and he is cleared. Something he has to live with.
Lance has passed every drug test imaginable, and has voluntarily given tissue samples for future testing. That sounds like someone who has nothing to hide. Just my opinion.
Armstrong is probably the most tested athlete in history and he has never tested positive. This should tell you something. Landis is just trying to make himself look a little less bad by dragging Armstrong and the old Postal Service team down. This is a sad attempt by a very sad individual to drag down one of the best cyclists we have seen. It is shame that Landis and now LeMond are doing this. I hope that when this is over and Armstrong is cleared that he brings a civil suit against Landis and LeMond to make sure they remain penniless for the rest of their lives.

Greg Lemond used to be a sports hero to me....not any more. He's a bitter ex-champion who'll always be jealous of "Lance's Seven in a row" and who'll do anything for publicity.
Sure, Landis is a liar who is just trying to drag down Lance, LeMond is a liar just trying to drag down Lance, the french lab at which Armstrong's blood from the 1999 Tour tested positive for EPO was just trying to drag down Lance, the personal assistant who found steroids in Armstrong's home is just trying to drag down Lance, the various other individuals who have made similar claims are also just trying to drag down Lance. I'm sure the federal prosecutors are also merely pursuing personal vendettas against Lance.
It's a well-known fact that Armstrong is practically a mutant....his VO2 (Volume of Oxygen in the bloodstream) levels are FAR above what is normal for a man of his build and athletic talent. This has been tested repeatedly...he's the perfect biker, just like Phelps is the perfect swimmer. He won all those times because he earned it, not because he had doped.

Lets also remember this is a guy that has already faced down death from cancer. I am not sure if I would believe he would be abusing his body with drugs that may lead him down that path again. That combined with the plethora of test results that show him to be clean during the races, leads me to think it is mostly BS coming from individuals caught red handed.

So in your opinion he isn't a very good human being, so that means he is guilty of doping. That is quite a stretch. I'm glad that our criminal justice system deems you to be innocent until proven guilty, and not guilty by ones opinion.

Didn't Greg LeMond race before testing was as aggressive as it is now. Didn't, or doesn't, he still have the record for the fastest time trial ever. He did that without drugs too!

Thousands of drug tests - and the biking organizations test as aggressively as do the Olympics. Thousands of drug tests, not one single positive.

LeMond couldn't do what Armstrong has done, Landis couldn't even come close. Sour grapes on Landis' part, pandering to the sore loser French on LeMond's part. The French officials have been dragging out this dead horse for years and years, they can't handle not having the all-time best winner from their country. It is that simple.
Greg LeMond has a vested interest in attacking Armstrong; prior to Armstrong's success LeMond was the only American to have ever won the Tour and this position afforded LeMond quick financial gain, but when Armstrong rose to prominence, interest in LeMond soon wained as did LeMond's fortunes.
The fact that LeMond would be taking such a hard line position prior to his involvement in court proceedings will taint any testimony LeMond may offer in support of the allegations.
I personally believe LeMond is the greatest American cyclist ever, but I can not see how the U.S. Courts will be able to find evidence to support these accusations when you consider the level of testing performed on Armstrong throughout his career - 12 years of results trumps two days of testimony.

What this article totally fails to mention is that LeMond and Armstrong effectively hate each other. Subpoena or not - LeMond will never, ever say nice things about Armstrong.

Lemond is a coward. His soul mission the last few years seems to have been to kneecap Armstrong.
Now he has Landis walking the plank. I hope Armstrong remains in the clear but the forces aligned against him are formidable and the deck is stacked.
Sounds a lot like sour grapes if you ask me. I don't know if Armstrong ever used illegal drugs, but so far it hasn't been proven that he did. Until there's evidence to the contrary, Armstrong deserves the benefit of the doubt.
As for the other two idiots in this slanderous affair, they are doing more to tarnish their own already tarnished reputations by trying to put the spotlight on Armstrong. So far they haven't been able to prove anything, but my guess is they will continue to do so because they have nothing to lose.

I don't believe for a second that Armstrong doped. How can thousands of drug tests be wrong? Greg LeMond is a bitter has-been who lost all his money in dumb investments. Landis is a proven liar.
Besides that, though, I'm curious on what authority a US investigator can investigate alleged deeds (by anybody) that were committed in another country, and how that can lead to prosecution by the US. I don't understand what statutory authority they have.

Where is the evidence that Lance Cheated or tested positive for drugs? You may not like him, and that's OK, however, he has not been convicted of anything. Landis was caught cheating. Lemond will always be the first American to win the tour, he should be proud of that feat.

You can't, though. Because it doesn't exist. But people want to think that someone so successful can't possibly have done it on his own. He has accomplished so much more that people can't believe he's real.
The only thing Lance cheated was death from cancer. One thousand drug tests later and bozos still like to shoot their mouth about it.
I'm not sure if Armstrong has done anything or not - I would have thought he'd have been caught if he had been, since he's been tested to much over the years. He'll always have to live with the balance of supporters and doubters, and there always will be both.
However, I never understood LeMond sticking his nose in this - even before. LeMond went from the past feel good story to the guy who comes across as the jealous jerk. Doesn't mean Armstrong didn't threaten him, but one wonders why he got involved in the first place.
Surprising this is coming up now - Armstrong is having a horrific Tour. Age has finally caught him when the field couldn't, I guess. I can't imagine he'll come back again after this.
Chris has it right about Lance being a mutant. Not only does he have a high VO2 Max, but his LT (lactacte threshold) is off the charts. In other words, he doesn't feel the burn the rest of us mortals do. He has done something superhuman because he is superhuman.
Also, Lance was always paced by remarkable athletes who kept him out of wind and trouble. This year that is not the case.
That is true of most, if not all, tour winners. The mishaps, flats, and crashes(one of them @60 kmh) probably would have kept any rider of the podium. I still think he could be very competitive next year...if that happens.
Drugs were rampant in Lemond's day he never tested positive. Drugs were rampant in Armstrong's and he never tested positive even after being continually tested.
Landis and Lemond what is their game are they trying to ruin the sport? Cycling does all they can and are catching the cheats. Give it a rest.

It's so sad. I used to admitre Greg. Now, he's allied himself with an admitted cheat and liar (Landis). He makes these claims against Armstrong and yet refuses to name his sources or otherwise back them up. Are we just supposed to take him at his word?
If someone has any evidence against Lance, then reveal it - otherwise shut the f*ck up. Greg, get a clue.
