They say that Phyl "blew it" but I disagree. The No. 1 missed app. a year, has not played near his capabilities and then has let Phyl beat him the last 7 seven times they have played in the same tournament. Tiger deserved to be the no.1 when he was playing. When you are not playing don't act like you are no.1 in the world.
Frankly it has been rather nice with him not playing. I even found out there were other golfers out there rather than Tiger. When he is playing it is full time on Tiger. Without him it is only about half time.......
If Tiger had not come along, golf would have remained a niche sports. No GC coverage. In fact, maybe no GC at all. And certainly there wouldn't be weekly coverage of any and every event the PGA Tour plays.
Phil has spurned yet another chance to rise to No. 1. What a surprise!
