remember one thing Lebron...Shaq's got the badge in miami
Pat Riley and the losing heat still won't be able to beat the Lakers. He and LeBron should have stayed put. This will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in NBA history. Kobe v. LeBron: 5 to 0.
This will work only if the rules are changed to allow three basketballs, one for each of them. I hope they win no titles, but then, I don't really give a $hit anyway. Watching grass grow is far more entertaining.
lebron and wade won't win the championship next year the LAKERS will and kobe along with Phil Jackson will retire and allow Miami to win 3 back to back.
Time for us to say good night from Cleveland. We support losers and quitters.
Just waiting for someone to blame this on Obama.........
We support losers and quitters.
You must have voted for Obama.
Why is it that Obama-haters have to lash out in every category, no matter how far removed from politics? Sad...
Because they are abolute idiots. Haven't you figured that out? What's really sad, is they are aware of their ignorance, but don't seem to give a @!$%#.
Wade won't stay healthy long enough. Bosh was only playing for this contract, so he'll be a fat, happy, wealthy bust in Miami. That leaves LeBron in pretty much the same situation he had in Cleveland, but at least the weather will be better for him as he continually gets knocked out of the second round of the playoffs for the next several years.
What does Bosh and Stephon Marbury have in common? They are both Georgia Tech players who left after their freshman year. Both heavy on stats and not a clue about team first.
Clearly, you are misinformed. Lebron James was traded from High School with the #1 pick of the 2003 NBA Draft.
Clearly you didnt read, he didnt say anything about Lebron, he was talking about Bosh.
Ahhhh yes, Lebron James. The king without a crown. The most overrated player in any sport. He will do what he always does. Play well in the easy games and when the playoffs come and the pressure is truly on he will once again fade away and no doubt make excuses. I;m sorry Lebum James, but you are just a big version of Allen Iverson, a scorer who is not a leader and has no idea of how to win the big games. I feel sorry for Wade and Bosh, they have to put up with "his majesty". I'm affraid this magic trio will win as many NBA titles as I have.
PS: A 1 hour special to announce his move, I mean seriously the ego on this guy.
are you a retard? this guy single handedly pushed cleveland thru the playoffs. shame the losers in cleveland couldn't grow a pair and play to the caliber needed to win or atleast contribute.
Lebron had an opportunity to step outside of himself. He did not take it. This is the second big mistake he has made in what will become a series of mistakes. The first big mistake was in letting his handlers take over his brain. Wait and watch.
P.S. to K. Sanders: you must have missed a good portion of the playoffs to make the comments you made.
bron bron is a quitter, wade chats trash, and chris (aint no way i am playing center) is a lapdog..all soft..I loved how Noah stood up to bron in chitown when he did his dance.
with pat riley this quartet has a "witches of eastwick" feel to it
I'm running with the Bulls
i hope they dont even make the playoffs and its a shame to go on tv to boast how much you did for a city when in fact you are a ballhog and a selfish player and hope you never win a title
i don't care fore self centered people.... i hope he doesn't win any... pretty pathetic..
Jordan stayed with Chicago and made average players around him great. That is the true measure of a great play which Lebron isn't. He tucked and ran for help.
So King James gets no income tax on his inflated salary and weather that doesn't suck! Other than that, still no rings for his hand. Cleveland bites the big one again! Can't say I feel bad about that having moved from that hell hold in 1966!
Lotta hate. First of all, why do you care so much? And yes, you all do care.... a lot, or else you wouldn't be spewing your hate. Who cares, just watch and be entertained.
Okay, Bobo08, here's how it's Obama's fault:
We are in the midst of the biggest financial crisis since the great depression - but one that is a farily typical cycle of overleveraging that happens in the markets in 60-80 cycles - going all the way back to the Dutch Tulip craze of the 1540s. The only cure is less debt, and to retire debt you need less spending and lower deficits. So President Frozone (honey, where's my Supersuit?...) decides, among other things, to launch an expensive health care package (that is admittedly well meaning, but which we can't afford), privitize Fannie and Freddie (which will prove to be a pissing away of billions), screw the bondholders of GM and Chrysler to allow those businesses to whip through bankruptcv without a substantial overhaul of their flawed business models, etc, etc, etc. Then, to top it all off, the clincher this past week - the house committee decides NOT TO ISSUE A US BUDGET until after the elections. We're are facing a financial war, and these guys don't have the balls to issue a budget for fear of just how bad it will look. And Obama does nothing to call his own party out and demand they issue a budget. That is the biggest single act of political cowardice I have ever seen, and shows a complete lack of the experience in how to handle a crisis. So here it is: it will happen soon that our US debt auctions get tougher and tougher - and that means rates go through the roof, huge declines in standards of living, the loss of the US Dollar as a reserve currency, and higher taxes and currency controls from a government trapped into 30+ years of debt repayment where the debt service eats up most of the tax base. And in case you think it won't happen to America, wise up - same drill has happened throughout history to Rome, Spain, Portugal, the British Empire....
So Lebron is smart to take the money - as much of it, as fast as he can, while tax rates are still relatively low, and sock it away - hopefully much of it overseas - and take care of himself and his family, no matter how bad things get for the average American. Cleveland is a great sports town, and it would be great if he could stay. But "loyalty" has a cost, and, unfortunately, like many other things, we can't afford it today. Lebron is smart enough to realize it.
You wanted change, you got it. Now find something that floats quickly, so when the waterline rises to your ankles, you have a plan.
You....
Responses to your post. Really very funny as most of the comedic routines are on these blogs....
We are in the midst of the biggest financial crisis since the great depression – (Caused by 30 years of fiscal irresponsibility)
but one that is a fairly typical cycle of overleveraging that happens in the markets in 60-80 cycles - going all the way back to the Dutch Tulip craze of the 1540s. The only cure is less debt, and to retire debt you need less spending and lower deficits. So President Frozone (honey, where's my Supersuit?...) (cheap racist shot you can do better! ) decides, among other things, to launch an expensive health care package (that is admittedly well meaning, but which we can't afford), keeping his campaign promises unlike most elected officials
privatize Fannie and Freddie (which will prove to be a pissing away of billions), again attempting to fix a situation gone bad due to the “biggest financial crisis since the great depression"
screw the bondholders of GM and Chrysler to allow those businesses to whip through bankruptcv without a substantial overhaul of their flawed business models, etc, etc, etc. did you want him to be a socialist or a capitalist?
Then, to top it all off, the clincher this past week - the house committee decides NOT TO ISSUE A US BUDGET House Committee? Obama responsability how?
until after the elections. We're are facing a financial war, and these guys don't have the balls to issue a budget for fear of just how bad it will look. And Obama does nothing to call his own party out and demand they issue a budget. If the house issued a budget the senate would filibuster it.
That is the biggest single act of political cowardice I have ever seen, and shows a complete lack of the experience in how to handle a crisis. Except Katrina, the 8 year war in Afghanistan, the use of unconstitutional methods to spy on Americans, Etc.
Can’t argue with history, but the root cause is still not directly linked to one man or one president.
Finally you got to a point that links to the article. Well done, bit not relevant.
You wanted change, you got it. Now find something that floats quickly, so when the waterline rises to your ankles, you have a plan. Next time, blame him for the price of the beers and hotdogs too, and maybe your bunions.
Thanks for the vine!
Well, it was a noble attempt, but you still didn't convince me it was Obama's fault. You convinced me LeBron wanted and needed more money, but you didn't convince me Obama made him do it. But thanks for the history lesson.
Actually guys, Lebron would have made more money staying in Cleavland as they can pay him the max over six years. Miami can only sign him to five years. Also, he has to take less money for the Super team to work. All three of the superstars, Wade, Bosh and James, will make less money playing together in Miami, than they could have made a, signing with their original teams (excluding Wade), and b, signing with a different team for more money on their own.
YouAskedForIt..You need to have the people at the home let you get out a little bit more..
YouAskedForIt - You're really a self serving prick. Just STFU, and or go to a political board. We're having fun with sports and you have to s**t on the parade. I'm sick and tired of people like you constantly trying to politicize everything that comes along. So, go suck a lollipop and move it along.
Thanks, EWayneS. Sports should not be sullied by the hate-filled rantings of racists and delusional wingnuts.
One thing is a fact in the NBA, that you usually need three superstars to win championships. Bird, McHale, Parish. Magic, Worthy, Jabar. Jordon, Pippen, Grant.
Far too much Hate and Negativity. Donating all the generated proceeds to charity and taking $30 million less is the opposite of selfish. These players are all going to sacrifice for a team concept. I wish them the best.
Finally somebody with a level head. I can't wait to watch them. To see them play LA in the Finals. For LA to 3-peat. For Phil to ride off into the sunset with 12 rings and 4 3-peats. And for LeBron, D-Wade, and Bosh start a dynasty of their own.
I think the Team Concept with these three is beautiful right now. So much so, I've shed a tear or two already over the love spilling out of Miami. But the first rough streak they hit, and I bet you are gonna see some wicked egos rise to the surface that not even Pat Riley's hair gel could keep tamed.
Nice to announce the leaving of Cleveland on National TV. He could have just signed without all of the fan fare. He could have been a real man and treated his former team mates, coaches and owner with respect.
Lebron is correct, basketball is a business. So think about this people. We all work at our jobs and there is always that one person that will stab you in the back, step on you for promotion and wants to be top dog. I am talking about some crappy job that we all go to everyday so we can pay our bills etc. So, exactly how is this NOT going to happen in Miami with all of these egos? Better think again.
Should have stayed in Cleveland Lebron. In a way I don't blame you for leaving but it is the way you left. I hope that ring makes you happy (if you get one) but ill gotten gains tend to bring alot of unhappiness. If you were a stand up guy you would have have treated the people with respect in Cleveland. You could have gotten it done here if you were a team player.
Take your mother with you for advice in Miami. You will need it.
Had his "The Decision" been all about raising money for charity, you would be right. While he did raise money for charity, he did "The Decision" show for LeBron. And in doing it, he stuck a red hot poker in the back of all of Ohio. If he wanted to be a "team mate", he would have announced with Bosh and Wade. Ask yourself why he had to have his own show. Ask yourself why someone who chided the Browns and Art Modell for leaving Cleveland would do the very same thing.
Lebron was on a good team in Clevland. All he needed was a little help and he could have won there and done something truly great. Bosh was just a good player on a bad team. He's along for the ride. I'llsure be rooting against them. Boston and Orlando are not just going to roll over.
I agree, the Lakers 3-peating would be an incredible story of it's own. Early on I really didn't like Kobe's attitude. But as he's matured, and as a fan of basketball it's been hard to not appreciate and respect his determination, talent, and will. Lebron is such a phenomenal athlete and he is one of those small handful of athletes born to do what they do. We all would do well to relax. Follow your team or teams, cheer for your players, but we all need to calm down and as basketball fans learn to appreciate the good. Uncommon stories like these are good for the NBA and hopefully the Heat will be able to put something together similar to when the Celtics put together their Big 3 with virtually an unknown roster. We'll see.
Cleveland fans should get a life. LeBron is only one player in the team. In sports, players traded frequently. LeBron already spent 7 years with the Cavs so its time for him to move on. Wish him the best and life will go on.
I wish I played in the NBA so I could watch Lebron come through the lane as I go for a block and inadvertantly land an elbow on his jaw and then proceed to accidentaly take all 270lbs of my frame and fall on him.
Oh and by the way I got 5 more fouls so come on mr KING and I'll let you meet my wing.
...yeah you and your 70% body fat ...maybe they would let you on the court to mop up Lebrons sweat
