Serena is hungry and will win and keep the title in the family.
#2 - Thu Jul 1, 2010 1:16 PM EDTI agree with Larry Dersona in what he said. Serena is a hungry player and she wants to keep the trophy in the family. She has more experience in the finals compared to Zvonareva. I don't think she will win it in straight sets though. GO SERENA!!
I don't want to jinx her but the way she has been serving in this tournament so far, I would have to put my money on Serena----She's been there before so she's fully aware of what it takes to win Wimbledon....................

I hope NBC does not have the contract for the Wimbledon matches next year. I will listen to the final on Wimbledon Radio if the final match is on a delayed basis. For shame! For shame!
#6 - Thu Jul 1, 2010 11:45 PM EDTI agree..Didn't CBS at one time have the contract...for years? BTW: ESPN2 was horrible last year, but has gotten a little better this year. ESPN360 freezes up a lot..or maybe its my laptop.
Serena all the way... She has shown time and time again that she is a warrior. She's lost 3 Major finals in her career and granted Zvonareva has been playing well but I don't see Zvonareva added to list of Venus(01Open, 08 Wimby) and Sharapova(04 Wimby). Don't get me wrong I think Vera has grand slam titles in her future, just not this Sunday against the greatest serve ever in women's tennis. Go Serena you are a hell of a fighter!!!!!

I closed the screen to get back to live play frm home, Of course, plastered on the screen was a picture of Nadal in victory. Hey! If I wanted to know who won, N-B-C ..I could have watched AND listened to wimbledon.org.. AFTer all of that! I realized that all I had do was rewind (slide the thingee). Since Nadal won in 3..I guess NBC decided to tack on the Murray match..... who knew?
Zvonareva will definitely win. The girl is ready. She beat the gal who took out Venus in the quarters.

When she loses, I think I stopped counting at 30, all the different reasons....., with excuses that I've never heard from anyone, anywhere else....like "oh, I only gave 5% today, or 10%, 20%, etc., and its always "oh, they didn't beat me, I just wasn't into it today" and Never gives credit to the opponent , it goes on & on and combined with that creepy threat at the US Open...makes it very hard to root for her to win.

She has a tendency to try to intimidate right out the gates before her muscles have aclimated to the environment. She sprays, hits out a lot of balls. If she establishes her rythmn, and not worry about how cute she's looking, maintains her mental stronghold . VERA will get nervous. (watch her bottom lip to guage her mental temperature) Vera has (had) a tendency to get frustrated (when opponents didn't LET her win) She would pout and cry. SERENA should win..shes a Lioness.. Vera is a kitty.
WIN IN 3, SERENA!! I WANT TO SEE 3 SETS! THIS YEAR, but I still want you to be the ultimate winner.
