All these late-game heroics are doing a number on U.S. fans - not to mention a few of the players. The more the Americans make everybody sweat at the World Cup, though, the better it is for the game back home.
'Cardiac kids' proving to be big hit back in U.S.

What an inaccurate sub-title. How did the Americans trail in all 3 games when they beat Algeria 1-0? Does this site have people who check facts?
Nice catch.
Yeah, 20 years ago.
I'd be just fine with a comfortable 2-nil victory over Ghana after all this cardiac nonsense.
Weeellll... they were gonna lose the group if they didn't find that late goal... so it was KINDA like trailing...
But yea, subtitle fail.
COYY!!!!
First NBC and now AP - can't get their facts straight. NBC noted in an article that the last time the U.S. reached the Quarters was 1930 (actually, it was just 8 years ago in 2002). And now this - in the headline, no less! I can't get enough of the coverage and I'm reading every article in site. There are too many well-researched and passionate articles out there to waste time reading these inaccurate blurbs by these news organizations that want to get in on the excitement because everyone else is. Sadly, there are millions of Americans that are watching the World Cup and soccer for the first time and US Soccer is getting shortchanged!
I have yet to find anyone who has watched any of the matches. I myself am a diehard sports fan, but I find watching soccer like "watching grass grow." Yes, I do hope the US wins, but that's just the competitive part in me who wants the US to win anything they may be competing in. Soccer may become a very popular sport in this country eventually, especially among the young kids, but I cannot see it ever becoming popular among the 30+ and over population.
