I was very disappointed with Eddie Olczyk's announcing. A hockey player, turned announcer who was born & lives in IL, sure could have fooled me. He called the Flyers goals pure skill & the Hawks goal was a lucky bounce. And he was so excited when the Flyers won, you'd have thought he was back on the ice. He spent several minutes emphasizing that HE made the correct call on the questionable goal. It turned out to be a good goal & that was fine, but he had to make sure EVERYONE knew he had called it a goal. Toot your own horn in Phillie Eddie, I'm not a fan of yours anymore.
At this point (Game 6) there is no front-runner for Conn Smythe on the Blackhawks. Goals and assists have been distributed over many players thus far. If they win tonight on great goaltending, Niemi will get it. If not, then it comes down to
1. The one who scores the game-winner (series winner), assuming a one-goal victory, or
2. Someone else who gets at least a couple of points with a plus rating.
