i wouldn't want to be stevie williams this year. he has always done a masterful job of quieting the crowd for tiger in the past, but i think that his job will be much tougher this year. all of those unmistakeable tiger cheers will now be mixed with jeers and it will be interesting to see how the tiger adapts.

You must be kidding. Have you ever seen Woods at a tournament? So long as your not making noise -cheers for boos- in his backswing - then he dosen't care what else is going on. Distraction from his practice routine is more likely to affect his game than what a few knuckleheads in the gallery have to say. -And even if people want to disrupt him in his backswing the PGA had better controll the crowd or Tiger will just go play most of his tournaments on the European or Asian Tours and suck the PGA's TV revenues away.

Tiger will probably be the number 1 player if he can get his act together. He is so private this has been very difficult for him. But when you play you must pay.

A new era of heckling may be upon us. The first putt Tiger sinks, someone will yell "nice putt cheetah". There's bound to be divisions within the crowd, resulting in ramped up security, new rules, and ultimately changing the status quo. It's always one guy that ruins it for the rest of us.

Although I was devastated by the revelations of Tiger's infidelity and made a mess of his personal life, I hope he and Elin will be able to work things out. Tiger is still the BEST golfer and I will continue to support him.

Scandal or no scandal, Tiger is still the No. 1 player in the world and until he is conquered that will be the same. I could see Tiger winning 3 of the major championships this year and with a little luck could win the "Grand Slam." I think most of the players on the Tour are behind Tiger in his attempt to regain his family and if that happens the players on Tour should look out. Go Tiger!!

tiger woods is the best golfer ever lived and he has comitted no more sin than many of us have. i have started a campaign against at&t for taking away their endorsements. tiger makes his sponsers much money and allow people to have jobs. failure to endorse him is failure for we the people to endorse you. as for the media to now hate him i say cast a stone if their is no sin in your lies. tiger is doing the right thing by not talking to you to tell lies against him. elin if you are without sin then what.....

Let it go! Tiger is only human and he is allow to make mistakes just as we all have done or will do. I hope he and his wife can work this out ASAP. Tiger will find that it will only take a couple of monthes to get things settled whether its divorce or back with Elin and some ground rules. Either way he will return with more focus than he had before. I look for two majors and/or at least five wins.

Tiger is till the ONE. He will come back strong and show those stinking media how a tiger roar when confronted. Whatever happened to Bill Clinton sex tirage. Yeah right! Despite his personal off-course wrongdoings (which I don't approve of), I still regard Tiggy as the world's #1 player. I still keep his books & DVD's at home since they show his major accomplishments in the sport. He must though undergo sexual treatment & counseling, must confess his sins & must apologize to his wife & everyone before starting up his career to break Nicklaus' major record. Long live Mr. Woods!

Wow I just read the story that Jesper will not comment on the tiger situation and no one posting here even mentions Jesper. You all turn it into a tiger story again.

Myself I think Jesper is a little late in saying "no comment" as his comment was out there for almost two months.

Tiger will NOT be #1 at years end except for the inequatable way they do the scoring to place the players in the rankings. There is no way woods was still #1 after being off for 8 to 9 months recouperating while others played a full season and had good years and none on them became number one. That is total BS and you know it. The ratings were slanted to keep woods at number one. PERIOD

Mickelson will be number one at the end of this year if he gets his thumb out of his butt and works on his game more. He was doing well this week then he threw it in reverse without even going to neutral first.
