Lebron will be a Laker via sign and trade for Lamar, Bynum, & Artest...nice!
I sure hope so. However, he's a free agent so no trade should have to happen?
I think Lebron is the best player running for 2-years straight. If the Cavs re-sign him, they have a chance of winning a champion next season. Cavs, would be stupid to let Lebron James go, so they're probably going to re-sign him. James was born, raised, trained, played, and challenged in Cleveland. So, I hope he does stay with Cleveland. GO LEBRON JAMES!!!!!!!
The NBA wants to keep the East - West fires burning... and there isn't another SuperStar in the East to match James'. I think the NBA will keep him in the East, if for nothing else but the advertising and draw that a "LeBron and the ????" vs. "Kobe and the Lakers" spin will bring. Sorry LakerWilly but putting all your eggs in one basket makes for pretty poor ratings...
He's staying in Cleveland. Here's why:
- No team can pay him as much as Cleveland. It's how the league works.
- He grew up a Cleveland sports fan (living in nearby Akron). He knows the pain the Cleveland sports fan has lived through and he feels it's his personal responsibility to win a sports championship for the area. Until he does that, he won't move on.
- He wields a lot of power with the owner, GM, and coach. It would be unlikely he could attain that moving to a new operation.
- He desperately wants a ring. He knows Cleveland will continue to tweak to get the right players to make it work. They did have best record 2 years in a row. Moving to another team, especially a non-playoff team, will likely delay that possibility for a few years.
- He's close to his family and friends and he likes playing most of his games near his home.
Here's why he'll leave. Small market Cleveland can't supply him with a championship team, and he wants a ring. MOving to another team won't cost him a few years, especially if it's the Lakers.
To Hahahaha:
Your name says it all!!! He is not going to the Lakers. Besides, there would not be enough balls in the game for both him and Kobe. He owes it to Cleveland to try and win a "ship". Like the earlier posting stated, none of the greats won right away. They had to pay thier dues. His time will come and after all, he is still quite young. That being said, if he really wants to win a championship right away, why in the world would he go to the "going nowhere soon" Knicks??? Chicago would probably be the best bet, or just stay put.
I know he's not going to the Lakers but I sure wish he would, lol.
It should be the Clippers, not Lakers in the poll. The Lakers can't sign him and won't do a sign-and-trade. The Clippers have cap room to sign him.
i know lebron personally he will stay in cleveland or go to miami to win a championship with wade
I think James is finished playing in Cleveland. The last two seasons, the Cavaliers had a great team and was expected to play in the Finals against the Lakers but both years they left early. Me being a Lakers' fan, I would like to see him playing for the Lakers but that would create a personality conflict with Kobe Bryant. Each would want to carry the team and instead of playing as a team, the Lakers would have two "ball hogs" trying to outdo the other. Chicago has the early advantage from what I'm reading. The Nets and the Knicks would need more than LeBron James in order to win a championship so I don't see him going there. He could surprise us all by going to another team not listed or stay in Cleveland. The offseason will be interesting to watch.
Did anyone notice how quickly he pulled off his Cavs jersey in the tunnel after the loss in Boston and tossed it as he stepped into the locker room?? That was a silent message to everyone. He is going somewhere!! Probably Chicago.
Ok. He pulled off his shirt. and because this was a big game, cameras were there. Now tell me after how many games in the last two seasons did LeBron take off his shirt on the way to the locker room? Making a big deal out of nothing.
Here is a chance for Lebron to show everybody what kind of man he really is. From my shoes, if he leaves Cleveland to chase big$ , his image diminishes considerably.
When you think of class, David Robinson and Tim Duncan staying in SA for their entire careers come to mind. And, in spite of abundant trade rumors, Tony Parker has confirmed that he has no desire to leave the Spurs. This sense of loyalty makes them a model franchise envied by all. 4 rings in 12 years help.
Lebron should think of the long term impact he could make on his home town and state by staying the course with the Cavs. If he decides to persist and attract some more help, I'd bet that the law of karma will take care of his championship dream.
First, he must turn off ESPN or whatever other sports programming that are forever talking crap about his prospects. Crap is all that 99% of those guys know. They are filling their time slot with opinions and conjecture about where Lebron should go that have no basis of fact. If they haven't heard any rumors, they start one.
Although I'm not a Cavs fan, I believe that L has to become deaf and blind to the expectations heaped on his back since he left high school. Forget the "King" tag. You are no king, L. Live with it and forget about being the next M.J. or Kobe. You have to be yourself first. Be proud of your roots.
I dont' get it. For 2 years, they have the best record in the NBA, then they fold in the playoffs. How can you be so good for so long (during the regular season) and then get lousy when it really matters? Is it because during the year it was all about LeBron and all his triple doubles and stuff that we overlooked that his teammates weren't doing jack? Did we really see what they were about in the playoffs? That they couldn't play worth a darn? I think that wherever LeBron goes, there will never be a good fit. He's too selfish during the year or those guys aren't really that good to begin with. I don't know if he'll ever win a ring because he may not be a team player. Think about it. He's been on this pedestal for so long that he can't imagine sharing. Go, Orlando Magic!!!!!!!!
As much as I would like for him to play n Dallas (that's not going to happen). The only team that's going to b able 2 afford him is going 2 b Cleveland.
I don't think LeBron will go to Dallas. That team seems cursed too........
Mo Williams took of his jersey right away too, so don't think it means anything.
If Lebron is loyal, he will stay and retire in Cleveland. Though, he better hurry up and win one cause there is a guy named Kevin Durant that will be the best player in the league in a couple years.
Why no talk about the Magic. Multiple titles if he hits Orlando. James needs a elite big man and Howard is the one. Nothing is given if LeBron goes to Knicks or Bulls but Orlando you got to see this is the best situation for the finals for both Howard and James.
james need to stay in cleveland and go after dewayne wade that is the missing piece of the puzzle. if cleveland can get wade cleveland will win several championships as washed up as shaq is a combination of shaq wade and james will be unstoppable not only for boston and orlando but also for the lakers.
lebron james has a better chance to win a ring in chicago or miami
Where ever he go, he will never be a champion. He's so full of it & arrogant. He needs to be mature and professional like most of the great champions before him.
Are you kidding? Lebron will obviously consider Dallas. With Dirk and Kidd and cubans pockets, he could make Dallas a dynasty full of championships and get everything he needs there- rings, money, respect, and Dirk will happily move over and make room- just think about it
