I am in a New York State of Mind. Lebron will look good in the blue and orange next year....
I know he always talks about NY a lot, but why we he go there? They are terrible!
If he is going to play for a crap team why not play in NY, they have the cap to get some decent running mates maybe Bosh or Wade. What players does Cleveland have that are worth mentioning? All Clevelands starters with the exception of James would be 2nd string option for any competing team in the west.
Chicago may be able to pull something off as well, him with D. Rose would be dope.
We DON'T NEED OR WANT him in Los Angeles!!!!! For someone who is supposed to be such a great player, his team did all the work where he was barely present. LeBron is the one who let THEM down, not vice versa! His team and his fans needed HIM, but he just did not come through. LeBron's no champion, he is just a chump who knows how to cuss out his mother on national TV, and walk off the Orlando court as a cry baby.
Your a complete moron, that probably thinks the loser, what's his name....kobe is great, PLEASE!!! That big mouth assw.ipe couldn't tie the king if the NBA, Lebron's sneakers! Kobe is a disgrace to the once great Lakers, but, they are a thing of the past....They were great once, way back, when my favorite NBA player of all time was on the Lakers, Enlgin Baylor! and once more when Magic was there, but they're losers, even in winning, they are still losers with that disgrace they call Kobe on the team.
MassDyn: Speaking of "morons", you need to go back to Junior High School and pay attention this time in English class. "Your a complete moron...." should be "You're a complete...." It's called a conjunction, idiot. You might want to look up the meaning of the word, "conjunction", if you know how to use a dictionary.
In addition, the word "that" should be "who", since you are referring to a person. But what should we expect from the ignorant?
I actually think he made his decision in gave 4 when the rest of the team didn't pick it up and win without him. He purposely tanked and tonight just cemented his decision. Not until this game 5 did I think he would leave, but for an MVP, he tanked. He should be ashamed of himself for the effort Dan Gilbert and Danny Ferry made to put Jamison and Oneal behind him, only to throw it all away for his own selfish reasons. Whatever that will get him will only be determined in free agent signing. He lowered his value a bunch and sent any respect I had for him out the window. He barley tried tonight and it was sad to see. Lebron, you don't deserve the love all of Cleveland gave you. Quit now you faking, ego heavy excuse for a superstar. You couldn't shine MJ's shoes. Ex-Lebron fan.
Well said, lexafan. MJ would have taken that game over, rather than just shoot an average of about 3 shots per quarter! 3 for 14! That is pathetic for a so-called superstar in a game as pivotal as this game was. If the Cavs would have won this game, LeBron would have been given the credit. Well, it goes both ways: since they lost, the burden is on his shoulders as well. There is a price of responibility to pay for the stature a "superstar" has. And if they lose the series, as they lost Game 5, then James has to be given the credit as well, just as he will be given the credit if they win the series.
I agree FDJ-Lebron let the Cavs down in the playoffs AGAIN! He'll get a rep for being a playoff choker if he keeps this up! Getting there is one thing, but a choke of epic proportions is absolute poison. He may be MVP, but he has yet to be a champion and people will start to question whether he ever will be.
It's going to be sweet, watching Lebron trying on his Brand new NY Knicks uniform, but, James Dolan and the Knicks also have to sign either Dwight Howard or Dwanye Wade, or both. That would give Lebron the real supporting cast he needs to have him bring the NBA Championship to the long Suffering, most deserving New York fans. It's about time that there's another team other the 27 time, World Series Champions, the Legendary NY Yankees having a ticker Tape parade down the World Famous Canyon of Heroes, and be awarded Keys to the Greatest City in the World, and it looks as though, it will be Lebron James and his new team, the NY Knicks as that Ticker Tape Team!!! NY Welcomes Lebron James, NY Deserves a player like Lebron help bring this once great franchise back to being the best team in the NBA..Plus in coming to NY is a win win for Lebron, were he stands to make boat loads of cash from the endorsement kingdom of the world, much more than the money the Dolans will be paying him, and he'll be getting more money to come to NY, than any other player in NBA history. He'll probally make much more than the disgraced Tiger Wood's $100 million plus a year endorsement deals. Yeah, Lebron is going to love it in New York, and the Greatest City in the World, NY NY is going to love having Lebron and his family.
Dwight Howard has too much class to play with James........I hope. I must admit, though, that a Howard-James team would be a pretty deadly one. I hope it doesn't happen. I have a better idea: James goes to NY.........and injury prone Bynum trades places with Howard in L.A. Now THAT would be nice match: Kobe, Dwight, Pau, & company!
Well, thankfully he doesn't try to rape a woman like Kobe....
Cha-Ching!!! Oh Dan, you hit that one out of the park!!! Kobe is on the same level as Chappaquiddick TedBoy.
LeBron just cusses out his mother and tells her to "Shut up and sit the F--- down!" on National TV!
Uh, Kobe committed adultery, not rape. Whatever you may think, all charges were dropped and Kobe dropped a $4MM ring on his wife's finger. Those are the facts, the rest is conjecture.
LA - no way; Kobe is a noted ball hog. Trying to fit Lebron on a court with an ego's like Kobe would be nearly impossible.
NY - no way; they're years away from contention.
Years away from contention...Now you know what New York is famous for, we'll jusy buy some NBA Champioships, Money is no object. Like I said, The Dolans are not just going to sign Lebron, they must also sign Dwight Howard and Dwayne Wade and anybody else Lebron needs to win some NBA Champioships!!! NY is already cutting up the Ticker Tape and having the Keys to the city cut for the future NBA Champs, Lebron and the NY Knicks!!! Again, Money is NO object!
Dan, Haha, & MassDyn: you three are so incredibly ignorant, that I think I won't even waste my time in responding seriously to your absurd comments. Kobe has more integrity, as a person and as a player, than either of you can comprehend with your foolish stupidity, demonstrated by your lack of knowledge, your mis-spellings, and your sub-standard English.
the cav,s are,nt cosistent up and down, blew ouy celtics on home court, and got payback on their home court what goes around comes back u would,nt ever think that after that ass whomping the celtics got that the cavs would get the same treatment as they did on home court oh well see u next year
There's two reasons he would leave: money, and teammates. But Cleveland can offer him the most $$$, & any other team that could sign him would be like starting from square one again. No, Lebron isn't going anywhere, especially not the Knicks. The speculation on that basically started from idiot sportswriters interpreting his being a Yankees fan as some kind of signal (by that logic, anyone outside of Pittsburgh that's a Steelers fan must want to move there).
As for the game: everyone has their low periods, but to write off the Cavs already you'd have to assume they'd have learned nothing from tonight's loss.
Yes, I think he'll stay. He'll stay because his other options are worse.
Haha-1807046:
In Chicago we simply refer to Kobe as 'The Rapist'.
Hilarious. Same here in Detroit. But yeah, I'm sure the Pistons would be willing to take LBJ off of Cleveland's hands.... :D
Hometown guy promised his neighbors a championship. They'd get pretty hostile if he bailed out without one. Tough to leave your family in that envirnment and have no place to go home to. I think Cleveland gives him whatever he wants and he stays.
If he wants to win he will never do it in Cleveland with Mike Brown as a coach. They have no real offensive philosophy, and thier defense is weak in the paint. He will leave, money is not the issue (he will make it no matter where he plays), he wants to win championships. That will NEVER happen in Cleveland!
I believe he has been gone from Cleveland, mentally, for some time now. He will eventually get his championship it all depends on how long he wants to wait. If he goes to NY it will take a few years. If he goes to LA, Miami, Orland or Chicago he would have a great chance next year.
Watching him play last night was like watching 5 on 4 basketball. He stayed away from the offense maybe because he concentrated to much on defense. He appeared to be thinking defense for the first three quarters of the game, I didn't watch the rest. Either he was thinking defense the entire time or just didn't want to be out there. I think we will find out that the elbow is worse than has been reported. I haven't seen him miss that many shots short in one game in his career. Jumpers were short, shots in the lane were short, tells me he didn't have the touch and the elbow could be the reason why. It just seems he ended the Chicago series with an instant excuse that he refuses to use right now but I am willing to bet it will come out after the series is through.
Where the hell is the run and gun style of play that they were using when Shag was out? It was a very successful offensive style that we have yet to see in the playoffs. All we hear about is how old the Celtics are yet we look like the old men out there. Start Hickson instead of Shag and wear these guys down. Start running the floor and creating offense and do it with confidence.
This team literally looks like it is playing in the playoffs for the first time. Lebron looked like a rookie last night and it seems every night he can't hit his jumper, he gives up on the rest of his game. He needs to get that MVP trophy out of his ass and start playing like the superstar he thinks he is. He refers to the Cavs as "his" team, well man up and show your team how it is done. All the awards and trophy's do not mean a thing if you don' t have the ring.
We should be making the plague that reads "Greatest Player to Never Win a Championship" because so far, that's all he is. My greatest satisfaction would be to watch him leave Cleveland and still never get his ring. For those of you that believe in karma, it would be a deserved curse for the one they call "The King".
Lebron is a giant in basketball circles but it is obvious that the crown the NBA would like to place on LJ's head doesn't quite fit just yet. I think this early exit for Cleveland and Lebron will be the springboard for LJ to leave to Miami or New York. In any event... Kobe rules!
It aint over till its over.Im a Boston fan but to say its over is just stupid!
Never count your chickens before they hatch!
Further Lebron's not concerned about the max money Cleveland can provide. LJ will see the cash no matter where he ends up. Newly minted jerseys will fly off the shelves and superstar players make so much in endorsements that I would assume the LJ's and Kobe's never have to touch their salaries.
Since that high school kid dunk on Lebron he is not the same. He should head for the Celtics after being whipped by them. If you can't beat them, join them. Now there is a great team to play for, with a great coach, respect and great history of the game.
Please lose for game 6 because orlando will slaughter them if they play like that. May the best team win and Celtics will. Lebron is a disappointment and a overrated player. Kobe is the best player by far in our time. Love him or hate him, he plays with skill and heart. Where is lebron skill and heart. He is a joke.

Clevelander here. Sorry guys, but the Cavs just haven't put together a good enough team for LeBron. He has no reason to stay.
