Celizic: The NFL draft didn't have the glitter quotient one expects from a prime-time show. It was Radio City Music Hall, for Pete's sake, and there wasn't a Rockette in sight, not even on opening night.
NFL's prime-time draft was still same old draft

You were hoping for dance numbers? The only thing I would change is to reduce the number of guys sitting around that ESPN table so they aren't either talking over one another or staring strangely off camera. Maybe a little bit more Suzy Kolber in a little black dress too.
This is typical of the NFL. Nothing new. They know they are sitting on the pot of gold for pro sports and are milking it for everything its worth.
I wasn't disappointed because I truly didn't expect anything else, but it was pretty boring until the Chiefs took Berry. Now I get to spend the next seven months complaining about why they didn't shore up one of the lines. Berry is probably a great player, and on a team that was set at the lines he would be a great addition. This is like hitching a racehorse to a plow. I think Okung would have been a far better pick for this franchise. Considering how they have done over the past several years, I'm afraid I'm right.
What's with the hat?
I watched it on the NFL Network, which was blessfully missing the painfully unfunny Chris Berman.
