From an early Oklahoma party to the Big 12's dominance to Tim Tebow stealing the spotlight from overall top pick Sam Bradford, the NFL's first prime-time draft was worthy of its Radio City Music Hall location.
Tebow steals show after Big 12 rules draft early

Bad decision - he will be reinjured and will never live us to what they think he should be - he oden all over again. In my opinion he is a good QB but not great. Take away his supporting cast at OK he is not that great. Look at how well his backup did.
How you haters hating on the big 12 now?
The college game is not the same as the pro game. There is great individual talent at schools like Oklahoma, Miami, and USC, and Notre Dame. Teams win championships. On the field, the SEC has ruled the Big 12 and the Big 10, particularly in BCS Championship games. The Alabama team that just won and will likely be a favorite this year has only a couple of guys that are pro prospects.
The measure of a college team is the outcome of its games, not how many players get drafted. 99% of college players do not go to the pros. A typical top 10 college team will have two or three guys tops that will go to the next level. The other 80 guys will go sell insurance or become high school coaches, etc. The really good coaches and programs get the most out of the talent they have got.
We haters on the big 12 are just fine. Bradford is a wuss! He takes one hit and his shoulder cracks like a cheap glass. He is NOT NFL material. His lot in life now is insurance salesman.
Suh will put Teboohoo in crutches.....if somebody else doesn't do it first....
Dear Kyle Orton - Thanks for being a loyal employee! Now please let yourself out through the back door. (Sucker!) - Regards, Broncos Management.
Tebow in the title of the article instead of all the great talent in the draft! USA is so into emotion and personal lives of people it overlooks real talent! Not just in sports! Tebow wouldn't make waterboy if the decision was on pure talent and not hype to sell tickets!!
Keep hating idiot. TWO National Championships and a Heisman coming out fo the best football conference in America. Be careful, your stupidity is showing.
The best player in the draft was Ryan Mathews - picked 12th by the Chargers.
Tebow SUCKS
Tebow is a good kid. I hope he makes everyone eat their words....and I hate the Gators
Tebow is garbage what a waste of a pick.
The Ravens made out like BANDITS! They robbed Denver blind, and those fools probably dont even know. You gave up a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round pick to take Tim Tebow 25th? Nobody was looking for Tebow until the 2nd round. Why waste your picks?
Ravens now have 7 picks left in the draft. We gave up a 3rd and a 4th for Anquan Boldin, and now we have them back PLUS another 2nd rounder. We are going to be STACKED this year. Ozzie is a genius...
Denver has to be crazy...
David, calm down. I do respect homerism, truly I do. He was a great college player, no question. But if you watched the SEC title game, even you would have to admit that Bama was NOT scared of Tebow's downfield ability. So they stuffed the run and put their corners on islands and the rest is game over. THAT'S the reason he wasn't drafted higher as a franchise QB. He's got a weird release and while he's certainly mobile, his pocket footwork is a serious concern in the NFL. Also if he plays Florida football in the NFL, he'll be in a wheelchair by season's end. Running QB's just don't live long in the NFL. I wish him well and wherever Denver puts him, I'm sure he'll excel. Oh and your comment about the Big 12 was way over the top of homerism to stupidity.
Thank you Heels. Maybe its the lack of oxygen there.
Congrats to my favorite first rounders out of Tennessee....Eric Berry to KC and Dan Williams to AZ! You guys are great and will be missed...you are both future Pro-Bowlers!
Broncos are going downhill. Tebow is a waste and more interested in his off the field antics than playing ball. Having difficulty remembering why I am a Broncos fan?
You're going to be 'disappointed' then when he does become a solid, long-term winner. We enjoyed it for 4 years. And all his accomplishments were done in the best football conference in America, against teams that actually know how to play defense. The Big 12 is a joke. Individual talent? Absolutely. No question, some of the best. Overall team play? They're a joke. All you need to know about Big 12 football can be found in the wake of recent title games results. You WILL become a fan of Tebow's when you get to see him up close for an extended period of time. Say what you want about John Gruden. He knows talent.

Is this an NBC Sports article or a NFL press release? Saying that Tebow was "a steal" is like saying it was "a steal" to get this old banana peel out of the garbage dumpster. And how can you say "it was worthy of Radio City Music Hall"? It was the same boring draft it always is. There is no way to make this exciting. I really don't know why the NFL moved this to prime time, but it seems more like a Broncos/McDaniels decision: It sounds risky and bold, but it is really short-sighted and ill-conceived.
Anyway, there were certainly enough real sports on last night with the NHL and NBA playoffs and baseball that I didn't have to pay attention to it. And, seriously, Tim Tebow "a steal" at #25??? I hope the NFL gives the author of this a bonus for that one!
I am astounded that this article was even written, much less published. Some lame AP writer has a man-crush on Tebow. Get over it. I give it up to Tebow for being a great college QB, but I think we all saw what can happen when your QB can't beat someone with his arm and downfield vision. The Tide hammered Floida in the SEC title game because of that. They took away the runing game and forced Florida to beat them with Tebow's arm. Didn't work out too well. Florida's defense was on the field forever and McElroy made plays and Bama ran down Florida's throat. Game over. Denver is obviously smarter than all of us and the draft analysts combined. Yeah OK. The story of this draft was the Big 12 conference in the first round. NINE players including 5 of the top 6 were taken from the Big 12 in the first round. The closest was the SEC with 7. Denver really isn't risking much money with the pick they took and from what I've learned it was a pre-emptive pick from a division competitor who was going to take him. No one knows how these players will pan out over time so stop acting like you do. Childish at best comes to mind. How many, if any of these players will stick and maybe join the "Hall" is absolutely unknown. Not unlike college signing day when you take the best available need players. Who's picking who is the biggest change. Now it's teams picking players they will pay versus the glam and gitz of players picking schools.
Bradford is a class act and his downfield vision and accuracy is fun to watch. I wish him the best. Tebow is a class act and whatever position he ends up playing, I'm sure he'll become very accomplished. The real story behind the scene of this draft, in the top 10 picks is Bob Stoops. What's that guy doing with his staff to develop players and prepare them for last nights 1st round. Hmmm, now that's a story we haven't seen.........
