it was a great day for golf. a golfer with class won. a good man who supports his wife and mother who both has cancer. this will prove that golf does not need tiger woods. hopefully the networks will stop the excessive promotions.
LMAO! You cannot be serious...just look at all the data regarding the PGA before Tiger's return. Watch what happens while Tiger is away assessing the week and future tournaments considered for the balance of the year.
When Phil gave that long embrace to his wife I could not help reflecting on the contrast between him and Tiger. If Phil never wins another tournament he will be a happy man. On the othe hand, if Tiger wins every tournament he enters he will never be contented in his life. It's just the way he is made. I've known people like that before and they are miserable people. They would destroy a friendship or a love just to win.
Tiger has to win all of the time and that has transferred to his personal life where he saw the bedding of other women as another win or conquest. The obsession on winning or conquest is so great that it clouds his judgement and reveals a tortured human being. I hope he can overcome these failings, but if he does he may not be a great golfer anymore, but that´s OK. His happiness is more important than anything that he may accomplish on the golf course.
I was so glad to see Phil come thru with another Masters win. He has been a favorite of mine since his days @ ASU. He has always shown class on and off the course. I was never, nor will I ever be a Tiger fan (and it has nothig to do with his recent behavior). I prefer to follow someone who shows class, even win he looses a tournament. Phil always appreciates his fans as well....this is a man who stays hours after the golf has ended so his fans can meet/greet him for an autograph. Go Phil, I'm always behind you!!!!!
Yes, Phil won with class shots, extraordinary talent and incredible determination.
But the true heroine is his wife who was there, although in bed-rest, during the tournament but had such confidence in her man that she got out of her haven and was waiting for him to congratulate a man who did all for his family, including the mother. His children have an eternal role model from primarily his wife, and secondarily Phil. God love you all and go get 'em. You've got the Tiger by the tail.
