I said after Duke's win over Purdue last week that the Blue Devils and Coach K would cut down the nets in Indianapolis. I see no reason to change my mind now. Duke will win by 8 points.

Butler Bulldogs will kick-ass because everybody thinks they can't win.

You know the headlines will read "The Butler Did It" if they win. Do they have a chance? Absolutely. If Duke's Big "3" don't have the dominant performance they had tonight and if Butler hits their "3"s it's anybodys ball game. Coach K is the difference in this one. He has so much experience in the tourney it should carry Duke to the top. But, they still have to play the game and wouldn't it be great if a school of 4,200 enrollment won it all!!

Not a chance, Coach K. will get even for the newspaper photo. Hayward will have a taller dukie in his face all game.

And this time the refs won't put their whistle's in their pockets in the final minute. It's Time they called body contact on Butler, just once. Izzo got the shaft. Hope these 3 guys don't show up for the final.

Let's get by all the emotion and be realistic. Much as I would love to see Butler win it all, Duke is too big, too deep, too talented, too seasoned and too well coached. Though I will shed a tear, Duke by 12, going away.

Dont care. Too much depends on the officiating during the game. One bad call here or there can doom a good team. It's why I don't watch anymore.

As a UNC fan its obvious who I am routing for ,but at the same time I realize that those preppy son of a guns from Duke are the better the team and will most likely win by 5-10 points. If they can demolish WVU who shut down Kentucky then they should be able to neutralize Hayward and force Howard and the point guard Nerod to beat them.

Always one to pull for the little guy, I'm afraid this could be a superbowl-type snoozer with Duke blowing them out. Strange tournament. Of the 4 number one seeds, the least likely is in the Big Dance. Don't know about the rest of you folks, but the pool I was in was a proverbial "war of attrition." By the time the sweet sixteen was decided, most of the 40 people in our pool were in deep do-do. After the elite 8..3/4ths had no one left.

It would be great for college basketball to see Butler win it all - but Duke is just too deep.  However, they've found a way all season - so let's "GO DOGS".

Butler should win because they appear to be stepping up to all the challenges faced thus far and, more importantly, the professional basketball programs masquerading as college teams like Duke with all their money and monopoly of recruiting the top HS talent need to be toppled!

C'mon people. It would be a nice story but even if Duke has a bad shooting night, they will will still cut the nets. Butler went 8 minutes without a basket and still won . That will not happen to duke on Monday but it could again happen to Butler. Coach k another fine coaching job!!

This is not the sterotypical Duke team. Duke has the same defensive chops that Butler has, but also has an offensive will.

The stat of this game is going to be the same stat of the tourney for Duke....2nd chance points and a Duke win.

I would really love to see Butler pull it off. It would be vindication for all those great teams in college sports that never got the chance to play for a title because of the prejudice favoring the big conference schools. Just look at the BCS and you will understand. At least in NCAA basketball the little guys get a shot. Unfortunately, I think that Duke is just too good and too deep for Butler to handle. But, win or lose, Butler has had a great season and should be proud of what they have accomplished. None of the big name schools will ever think that these little guys are going to be an easy win ever again.

Robert couldn't agree more. My first thought to that statement was Hello.....UNLV? Marquette won it when there were only 32 teams and unseeded at that. The 72–65 victory over Kentucky in College Park, Maryland is considered one of the most important in the history of college basketball, as it marked the first time that a team with five African-American starters won a title game. It came against a Kentucky team that had no African-American players, during the period of the Civil Rights Movement.(This has to be the best sports story of the year unless the Cubs win the World Series!) I picked them to beat State and I don't know if they can score with Duke and stay out of foul trouble but Duke is going to find easy baskets and open 3's hard to come by. This team plays defense like white-on-rice. I've been with them this long, can't jump ship now. Go BUTLER!
