Duke doesn't have the stamina to hold it together, especially when it comes to games in the clutch! Some point to Syracuse! But the Orange has losed mainly when their big man went down. When Singlar is cold somehow the Blue Devils go cold. That's just my opinion. So now, jump all over me!!!
Kansas is a solid team and should go far in the tournament because they are good. Even good teams lose but this team odds of losing are slim to none. The types of teams they will want to avoid will be smaller and fast transition shooting teams like Cornell, Murray st and BYU. Could see another 40-6 halftime if they try to run with these types of teams. Kansas was seeded to avoid most of these teams until way late in the tournament.
But Northern Iowa can and has played that kind of game, and is deep enough to give Kansas fits. I'm not buying into them - they've had a brutal tournament, and look fatigued after surviving K. St. on Sunday.
Now that history has borne out my sage prediction, allow me to say it: NEENER NEENER NEENER! Phbbbbbtttt!!!!
Syracuse will be the first to get knocked out. They won't deal well with that injury that they sustained (I forgot who it was). The other 3 number 1's will make the final four. I cannot wait until Kentucky destroys Duke in the Final Four game.
I guess I am like Kreits above..... the committee specifically set up a Ky-Duke contest if they both get that far. I like Kentucky's chances as no other #l seed had three overtime games won by freshmen this season. I will be so happy if Kentucky can put up a play that finally replaces the Christian Laettner fiasco of the last century which the networks wont let go away. Get prepared, if they meet you will see that play at least 2,000 times the week before the game. Take my word for it, The Cats freshmen Cousins, Bledsoe, Orton, Wall are not average college freshmen by any stretch of the imagination. Those guys are fabulous. Remember Sunday it was a freshman who made one free throw and intentionally and perfectly missed the second which was rebounded by a freshman who shot a three and missed and set up another freshman to lay the ball in while Mississippi State's senior who is the all time college shot blocker looked on and did nothing.I plan to be in Indy for the showdown between Duke and Kentucky.
