I guess I'm the exception to Celizic's observation. When I saw the headline on the front page of MSNBC.com tonight that read, "UConn's bubble burst," I mistakenly thought the article was about the UConn women losing, not the UConn men.

For years my Dad watched the UConn girls, and as a former coach he would talk about their execution and fundamentals. This run that the Huskies are enjoying is one of the best joys to watch. What they are doing may never be repeated. I still marvel at how they dominate teams and play with such intensity. Unfortunately, too many people will probably never be able to say the same.

The reason so many yawn about this feat is this is woman's college basketball!!!! I don,t mean to sound sexist cus I'm not, I just mean that women's college hoops are easier for a school to dominate than men. (i can just hear you women now!) but really remember in the 80's it was Texas USC, and Louisana Tech, In the 90's It was Tennesee, Texas Tech, and Stanford, in the 2000's it's been basically U Conn and Tennesse and some sprinkles here and there where men's hoops has not seen a back 2 back winner since Florida light years ago. I guess that's why they may as well give them (uconn women) the trophy now and save everybody the travel exspense cus really who do you see out there beating them? perhaps the U Conn men??? ooops that might be a bit of a task for them these days. 

Thats the truth, vinnide64. there is too much PC to have a real conversation. As soon as a guy says something objective all the HATE comes out. And im a UConn fan.

They won't lose this year.  Maya Moore is better than Tina Charles, IMO.  I hope their early schedule is brutal (with a game against UT) so if they beat the 88 game record, you can say they played them all.

No team is as good as they are. Watch Maya Moore or Tina Charles smile at the opposing bench as they run down court after a basket...That is true domination! Look at the opposing team's coach; she or he knows that they are going to be beaten.
