Who cares if Tiger ever returns? Lots of people my friends. He's the attraction that brings the crowds to the grounds when more and better competition if offered.
He is the only reason many of us even watch golf. To see the shots he makes that no other can. The best golfer of all time who we hope returns soon, so we can return to watching PGA events.
He returns, he doesn't ... big deal. He's so dominated the sport so quickly in his career that the only thing to watch would be his decline. As far as his game he has pretty much no where to go but down.
He is a terrible person who is good at hitting a white ball in a hole. (he sure seems fascinated by holes) imagine if this guy showed up to date your daughter! You'd throw him out! This was a non-stop pattern of behavior that revealed his true character - NOT an isolated mistake. His marriage is a sham.
stop paying attention to him. don't buy his products and heckle him - you'll feel a "hole" lot better...
How do you know he's a terrible person? Do you know him personally? I don't think that you do. Why do you care if his marriage is a sham? Do you own stock in it? He's just a man that plays golf, Not God. Move on.
There was golf before Tiger and there will be golf long after he is gone. I don't watch golf for Tiger and have been sick & tired in the past of commentators talking about Tiger to the practical exclusion of everyone else in the field. It will be interesting to see if he is hoisted to the pedestal now.
His personal life is just that - personal. His golf game is ours, and I for one miss it! No one plays or captures our imagination on the golf course like he does. He plays golf like no one else. His golf game is the best. He is fun to watch and fun to follow. Golf needs him and draws the crowds. I welcome him back to what he does best - golf.
I just want to say i cant wait for Tiger to return to golf. I don't really care what he does with his personal life neither do I think it is anyones business. There are plenty of other athletes that have done the same thing so who cares. He'll be back and stronger then ever. Grand Slam coming this year!!
Once a cheater, always a cheater. Elin is better off without him. Dont forget that he could have infected her with all kinds of STDs and his children. He would never have stopped if he had not been caught. He did not care. Fame has gone to his head and he is a terrible example of a role model. I hope he never competes again.
To me this is a personal matter, and the tabloids over killed the whole matter to make a few bucks. Like no body else had a problem like this. I just hope Tiger will return to golf in the near future .
Tiger will come back. He will be as good if not better than before his discretions became public. He now has a motive beyond winning golf tournaments. His motive is to redeem his family, his character, his tarnished image, and the negative publicity on the game. If he was in the NFL, or NBA, or a politician, he would have been a non story. Everybody has come to expect such behavior from this group. Tiger has a long road to travel but will effectively navigate the journey.
His numerous "trangressions" (read infidelities) are a stain on his character and a few weeks in a sex therapy clinic will not help in that regard. As for golf, sure he's the best there ever was but that does not make him a good person nor worthy of everyone's forgiveness just because he is a great golfer. Two things are very clear: He is not a good family man and he is not a person to admire. I think he should withdraw from playing golf for money and play only for recreation. He has enough money to survive extremely comfortably until age 900.
Is Tiger fun to watch when he swears after missing a shot? Is he fun to watch when he throws a club after missing a shot? Is he fun to watch when he appears so conceited, arrogant and above everyone else that he makes it appear he's doing everyone a favor to be interviewed, and if the interviewer should ask him a question that he may not particularly like, he appears to snarl? Is that fun to watch?! Hardly! Where is the class of a Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson or Gary Player? Although Tiger will undoubtedly break all the records, he doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with these great golfers when it comes to behavior, integrity and devotion to family and the game of golf. With Tiger, it is me, me, me. His shameless display of infidelity clearly demonstrates this. Tiger is a pitiful excuse for a human being.
I feel that this situation is no different that the rest of America's fascination with Sports Stars.
Just go ask a teenaged boy why he wants to be a sports star. He'll probably say for the money & the babes. It is considered a PERK!.....
ALL of these guys are given a pass by the Press. It's the Boys Club Code Silence. The only reason the situation came to light was because there was a cat fight between a couple of Groupies who seek to be adored by someone famous(if only for awhile). That type of woman will be available to the rich and famous forever. Elin had to know about this guys reputation before they married. NewsFlash, girl....these guys don't change. NO matter how beautiful you are.......they tire of the one note song.
I know we call it a Gentlemen's Game. And my adoration for the golfers you mentioned is way way high. I've watched gold all my life. But don't kid yourself.......these guys are all human.
Another point I'd like to make is that I think Jesper Parnevik is atrocious for pretending like he thought Tiger 'Was a better guy than that'....he offered up his beautiful Nanny to Tiger probably in the locker room.
I am very sorry that Tiger's good deeds for kids will now be overshadowed in some cases by the holier than thou crowd. His mission to assist kids was in place long before he married.
48 days to the Masters.........

I'm glad someone else sees that. He is very arrogant and doesn't really try to hide it. I hope he doesn't come back....I'd like to hear about the other golfers on the tour from time to time instead of random shots of him doing nothing while the other golfers are playing because god forbid he doesn't monopolize every second of TV time.
Tiger is an easy target. When he was on a roll we all wished we could be Tiger. Now everyone tends to jump all over him or sweep it all away. What does that say about our society. In the end he could never have been all he was made up to be after all he is just a guy. A great golfer, maybe the best ever but just a man. As someone told me early on in my career even the CEO of your company puts his pants on one leg at a time.
And for those of you who laugh at the notion of s*x addiction, or addiction in general and think it is an excuse. Walk a mile in any addicts shoes. There are better excuses. Addiction, as we see with Tiger, has no boundaries and wreaks havoc on people's lives. If Elin decides to stay that is her choice, if she leave again that is her choice. And Tiger like any other addict still has a life to lead on the other side. For him he plays golf for a living. I was never a Tiger fan but I hope he comes back. But I hope more that he owns his stuff and does not try and duck. He made his bed now he has to lie in it. Just like any of us would.
That's just life!!!
I am pleased that he is facing the public . His transgressions harmed his family mightiliy and this he must suffer and deal with. His prowess at golf will overcome the bad publicity. Golf fans will forgive and move on. Golfers and fans of golf, are more focused on Tiger Woods, the golf great, than on any weakness in his character. We are all duffers at sometime in our lives. Accept the man for what he has shown us - the highest level of proficiency in a game that demands exceptionalism and rewards it.
He made golf fun and exciting to watch by taking chances and showing real emotion. I hope whatever therapy he sought doesn't turn him into a PGA Zombie like: Vijay, Ernie, Steve, Justin, Freddie...you can't tell if these guys are winning or losing a tournament. I don't get how everyone is so critical of his personal life. He's a golfer; wins a lot; makes a ton of money. Not like he tortured living animals for fun or shot someone or pulled a gun on a fellow player or smoked pot or was investigated in a shooting and murder. He's a young billionaire and had some fun. Maybe he got married a little early; who knows who cares. I know who cares, Jack Nicklaus...the slowest player in the world. He'll cry like a baby the day Tiger passes him :)
Tiger steps to the first tee at Augusta, rips one down the middle.
Fan shouts: "You da man-ho!"
Game over.
Do you think anyone would have the balls to shout "get in the right hole?"
If he could laugh at that it would be instant Youtube immortality.

If I could score some tickets I would do it in a heartbeat. It would be worth getting thrown out!
He is a big disappointment to the world of sports. He is another one who had the bucks and fame and thought he could do no wrong. Now his children will have to grow up and hear all about this forever and hope his wife does not take him back, trust was broken and he can not be trusted for a long time...if ever, to think everytime she would be with him knowing what he did .... no way... can not do.... just wrong, let another women deal with him and his issues.
How can you say he is a disapointment to the world of sports. Did he do something to shame the sport of golf?? No he screwed up his pesonal life and thats it. Just the same as MANY MANY other players have done.
Who really cares. But that being said he has a rather large ego so it will be at or before the Masters because if he wins then all will be forgotten. Sadly for his kids and wife returning will probably stop any real positive changes to himself. He is one mixed up guy and I fear for the mental health of his kids.
