Put away those paper bags forever: Drew Brees and the Saints are NFL champions for the first time, rallying to upset Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 Sunday night in one of pro football's most thrilling title games.
Who Dat? It's the Super Bowl champ Saints
Seeded on Sun Feb 7, 2010 8:42 PM EST (NBC Sports)

Saints start 3rd quarter with on-side kick.
Therefore...
Saints Football = Pu__y Fooball.
If you aren't good enough to cover a kickoff you shouldn't be playing football at all, much less in the Super Bowl.
That's not strategy, that's Pu__y Football.
i'd like to see you stroll into the saints locker room and tell them they play pu__sy footbal. they'd rip your head off and @#%& down your neck.
congratulations new orleans and the saints. you are super bowl champions!!!
I wonder how much looting will take place in New Orleans tonight?
The on-side kick was pure genious. Nothing pu$$y about that play.
Ya right, scubajim, and that explains why YOU WEREN'T out there on the field tonight playing for the colts or the saints.
Might I suggest that you stick to scuba-diving - since you seem to have your head under water when it comes to football - LOL!
Good game, even though my home team got beat. Congrats New Orleans and Mr Brees, a well earned victory. Good for you guys :)
Onside kicks have been an integral part of football forever. Don't cry Jim, just go change your diaper and find your pacifier.
Classy sportsmanship there Steve Papa. Voted up your comment on pure class.
quit being sour grapes scuba/golf-boy and face facts- they WON the Superbowl
I usually could care less about football, and never watch the Superbowl..but so so happy the Saints won!! Glad New Orleans has something to celebrate!! Congrats!!
Sad day when you see a team do a side kick like that. I thought i was watching high school playing super bowl. Something happen 5 yrs ago and keep on talking about it. Tell me why they have drunk street up and running? When bunch of follks down there is still out of there homes. Oh wait Saints will get them in there homes. 2 things pissed me off 1 the baby side fick in the super bowl 2. paid off referee made bad calls. They need to ban side kicking in the super bowl games. Not watching bunch of pu**y playing like that.
Or maybe you need to understand football better. They made some risky, unusual calls and they paid off. You obviously don't understand the game.
Forresta-
What a stupid comment; go back to bed.
who dat?? yippee! the vine lowercased my comment. no yelling on the vine. are you freaking kidding me? if this is not the time for shouting, when in the wide wide world of sports is?!?!
You sound like a whiney golfer, they won the game....Go play around of golf.. is that an easy enough sport for you...Scubagolf....I am so happy for NOLA and the Saints... I take it you have never been there.....
Scuba, your pu$$y comment isn't worth commenting on, other than to agree, the Colts were not able to cover a kickoff so I guess your Colts play your pu$$y football game.
I would, however, like to hear some adult comments from ALL of you clowns who basically fell into the "they can't possibly beat the Colts" group.
As a loyal Colts fan, I send my congratulations to the Saints and New Orleans on a great win! There were the better team and deserved to win. A great game, played by two great teams! One or two mistakes by either could have cost them the game; it did for Indy! A great win for the city and their fans, know how that feels. Indy just needs to build a better desensive team and running game to win the SB again. Depending on probably one of the best QB's ever is too much to ask week in and week out. In any case, congrats NO and Saints, Who Dat lives.
They won!!!! I guess you played pro football
I used to live in La. and the poor Saints never won a game all I can say is....................WHO DAT!! CONGRATS GUYS!! GEAUX SAINTS!! Didn't I read on MSNBC yesterday that the the saints couldn't win? I think so...
If you aren't good enough to recover an onside kick you shouldn't be playing football at all, much less in the Super Bowl.
The Saints played "p---y football". But yet they still won. Imagine that. So if the Saints are playing p---y football, what does that say about the team that LOST to them? Time for a new box of Pampers. I didn't think Colts fans were such babies.
It is called onside kicking, and what they need to ban is crybabies. Then you can watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Really, that is loser talk, making excuses. Your team lost, deal with it.
For those claiming "my" Colts didn't win... I wasn't for EITHER team. Rather, I was just watching the supposed two best teams in the NFL go at each other.
The Saints did outplay the Colts in the long run, but still, an on-side kick to start the third quarter? That's the coach playing Pu__y Football. The players executed very well. The coach didn't. He marred the memory of the game.
Saints fans will treasure it forever as a great strategy play. And if the Colts had done it instead? Maybe to just increase their lead? Most Saints fans would be screaming more profanity than my simple statement.
That one play ruined the game for me. That play would have received the same comment from me had it been done by the Colts, or any other NFL team that may have been there. Football is about strength, endurance, fortitude.
You can't cover a certain kickoff return guy? Kick it down-field, but away from him. Set up your coverage team to concentrate to that side. Leave the speedsters of coverage out in the open for a possible breakaway. Look at one of their subsequent coverages taking the guy down inside the fifteen.
Under two minutes and need the ball? THAT's an on-side kick situation.
Did the Saints deserve their win? Most definitely, because of their play, especially in the fourth quarter. The coach should be ashamed of his ruination of an otherwise solid game plan.
So, it's only real football to kick an onside kick near the end of the 4th quarter, when trailing by 1 or more scores? So pouncing on a weakness of your opponent's team (kick coverage) is actually playing pu__y football in your mind? Do you realize it is PART OF THE GAME??!! They used what they saw on film against the Colts, you know kick coverage guys not WAITING UNTIL THE BALL WAS OVER THEIR HEADS as they ARE ALWAYS TOLD by the special teams coaches, EVERYWHERE! The Colts tried to anticipate and got caught with their pants down, and ended up being burned.
1, 1.2 restored, although I completely disagree with their sentiment.
...
Isn't this a critique of the Colts more than it is the Saints? They couldn't recover the kick.
That's bull. Football is basically war-as-sport. Football is about systems, playcalling, and clock management. If it was about strength and endurance we'd deify linemen a lot more.
Amos Alonzo Stagg was running trick plays in the '20's. Deception has been part of the game since the forward pass was added.
If you didn't like that play, how'd you feel about the greatest college football game of all time?
Yeah, like you know any real Saints fans. WHO DAT BABY!
I don't know, Tyler. I was hoping your link would be to the college game where they had something like 13 laterals in a single play! That was amazing.
Ralphie2010
I'd say, with confidence, just as many as you have, Ralph Malph.
And for those that can't read and understand I Wasn't FOR Either Team...
I said the same thing several years ago when Manning pretended to spike the football and then threw an out to his left. Did it so well the refs actually called the play dead... but it was still pu__y football imho.
It's the SUPERBOWL. Go out and play the game like MEN, not some eight-year-old in your Grannie's yard on Thanksgiving.
And Tyler (how's it going big guy?) the "coverage" is the ability to defend against the return. The Colts failed in their ability to "return" or "handle" the kick-off. Just semantics, but...
These are the rules of the game. If you don't like them, push to have them changed (yeah, I know, good luck with that). Using strategy is a huge part of the game if you're any good. Pu__y football to me is when the quarterback cringes when he's being attacked (good QB coverage on both sides in this game, btw) instead of rolling out and trying to make a play. Using good strategy and confusing the other team is good. Knowing the rules, using them in your favor, playing intellectualy is not a bad thing and isn't pu__y football. Football is both brain and brawn if you want to win.
I think that'd be Havard/Yale...but I'm a sucker for the classics.
Harvard/Yale? What about the Stanford marching band game?
Manning did this? I remember Marino doing it, but it wasn't blown dead.
What do you think of cut-blocking?
It just seems weird to be against onside kicks or deception in general. Football doesn't have the illustrious history of out-and-out cheating that baseball does, but catching the opposition unawares is the idea behind reverses and hook-and-ladders and no-huddle and corner blitzes and tons of succesful elements of the game as we know it. Shrug.
Fair enough. [I'm doing well.]
Disagree. BSU-Oklahoma was much better from beginning to end. It was captivating. Then again, I didn't see Harvard-Yale live.
Not as great until the 4th. The Elway drive before the Bears' return is ridiculous though.
Ok just so that there's no more "P_ss_" football being played teams now have tell the other side what play/rout they're about to do so nothing's unexpected. Oh and no more onside kicks and two point conversions, not many coaches a brave enough to try them so it's unfair that others do.
Sean Payton did a ballsy, unexpected and unorthodox play. SOMETHING HE IS FAMOUSFOR! For further reference if you're playing against Sean Payton and he trailing and is about to kick off to you, expect it to be an on-side (that is until ya'll start expecting it, then you'll find it in the endzone).
Interception...AHHHHHH!!!
Yeah, that receiver quitting his route and allowing the interception was probably the key to the whole game. (Well, the Saints offensive line controlling the line of scrimmage and staying on the field and keeping Manning on the bench. That was what won the game.)
He's got to be feeling really bad this morning......
No matter, it was a great win for the Saints.
The interception was definitely a key factor but I think the turning point was the onside kick. I caught the Colts with their pants down and completely changed the complexion of the game by shifting the momentum squarely over to New Orleans.
Great game all around...............
That's a key point.
The Colts are great at eating clocking, keeping defenses on the field and opposing offenses off. The Saints reversed it on them after Q1. (Which Q1 is what I thought the whole game would look like)
Couple things went in Saints favor, the Onside kick, INT. But they played a near perfect game.
I'm a huge Colts fan, so it's a heart breaking loss, especially since Manning will be blamed for throwing the INT. But Wayne didn't run the route 100%...
It's really that simple. The Saints played nearly perfect football, the Colts didn't play perfect football. You can't give up an onside kick, an INT late, not run a route 100%.
The end of the first half also shocked me.
They take a timeout at 1:55...get the ball...(perfect time for Manning, 2 minutes, 2 timeouts)
And run the ball 3 and out? WTF. And that really lead into the onside kick, because the Colts knew they were getting the ball first in the second half, and didn't want to risk anything on their own goal line.
You have to risk it...it's the Super Bowl.
Hands off to the Saints. I thought the Colts would dominate this game, but the Saints played perfect ball.
To the MSNBC Reporter who said the Saints can't win..I got one question.."Do you like Apples?" WELL How'd you like DEM APPLES! Who DAT!!~!
Both are good teams.
Absolutely. But I am especially happy for the people of New Orleans.
Thanks, Buckeye voter.
I was in New Orleans two weeks ago when the Saints won the playoff game. The people of New Orleans partied hard and there were many many happy people. I can only imagine the pandemonium now!
WHO DAT!
Yeah, those arrogant dip@!$%# people who didn't have cars just stayed there ... while their governor and mayor let school buses flood instead of using them to evacuate ... yep, screw those people. I've never been that poor but I almost find myself wishing that you would be, since you have idea what it's like not to HAVE the choices you and I have.
I spent over a week there last March and mostly found very nice people who aren't anywhere near as arrogant as you are. And the best fine dining, and best dive restaurants, I've ever eaten at anywhere.
igoforo -
Maybe you did not notice, but the houses and businesses of everyone that did evacuate Katrina was destroyed, too. Your ignorance is astounding.
Since you have no sympathy for stupidity, then you cannot have sympathy for yourself.
Looks like the Saints, aint the Aint's no more!
Man don't sweat that alter ego of some Viner coward. Check out his latest comments. I ain't sure yet who it is but I got some good leads from reading their column.
Let Admins handle this poser....
Just keep reporting his ass.
Dear Mogley,
Yes, God Bless them both.
I was originally hoping for the Colts, but I rejoice with the Saints.
Hey all Ya'll we still got Mardi Grasgoing on until the 16th, come down and party with us! Everyone's invited.
3.4 deleted, igoforo trolling New Orleanians somehow. Cut it out.
I missed it Tyler, what did he say?
Don't worry about it, Ringo. He said some stupid things that aren't true, enjoy your Mardi Gras and realize that most of the country isn't like that dude.
and WHO said the Saints were LOST??
Congrats to da Saints.
Let's just hope the fans don't destroy what's left of New Orleans.
"WHO DAT DIP@!$%# REPORTER" who said the Saints would lose to the "Ponies"?
That's kinda what I'm wondering.
Congrats Saints. "Who dat" now?
I'm glad the Saints won.
But how did the predictions get so far off?
Most thought the Colts would win, but they lost by quite a bit.
I predicted the Saints 700 and the Colts 0. I was off by a little bit.....
They still won! :o)
Yeah, and you owe me $100 because I was closer. Send it now.
Bruno collected but he has other stops to make in Indy before he gets back....
Early on it looked like the predictions were right.
10-0, and the Colts looked to be clicking on all cylinders on offense. But a dropped pass in Q2 (Garcon WIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDEEEE OPEN) ended a drive, the Saints kept the ball most of the quarter.
Colts got the momentum back on the 4th and goal stop...but didn't try to go for a score with 2 minutes left because they were on their own 2 yard line. (MISTAKE JESUS CHRIST).
But the momentum completely shifted on the onside kick to open the second half.
Still, it was 24-17 (after 2 point conversion by saints). Colts had the ball, 25 yard line, driving for a TD. INT the other way for a TD. The Score isn't reflective of the game, it was very close. The line was 5.5+ for the Colts. (Not 17+ Patriots 2007-2008 against the Giants)
Both Offenses were good (but not great surprisingly). Both Ds were surprising, the Saints keeping Manning off the field, the Colts stopping the Saints 3 times for Field Goals.
What I'm hearing is that the "experts" believed that at 6' Drew Brees would be too short to pass over the Colt's defense.
New Orleans deserves something to celebrate. What an AMAZING game! Just wish they showed more shots of Bourbon street during the game. Wish I was there to celebrate.
They can celebrate their new mayor. Maybe he will give them a fair shake.
optomyst......
Politics does not need to be here, it was about a football game..get over yourself. Congrats Saints!!
WAY TO GO, Saints!
You guys played great football all season long, and won time and again when some said you'd lose.
You deserve to win it all, AND YOU DID! Congratulations!!! No body can call you "the "aints" any more!
Congrats to the Saints. Great game . Favorite part was the Danica Patrick ads.
Yeah but does anyone even know what GoDaddy does? We all know who they are, so I guess that's what counts.
I don't know but those ads were hot.
I'm a girl and I'm not bi, but I'll take your word for it - my only interest in Danica is in seeing how well she drives in her NASCAR debut. Oh, and GoDaddy hosts web domains - who would have thought from their ads?
Sorry,I didn't mean to come off as sexist. At least I know what GoDaddy does now. Thanks.
You didn't come across as sexist - if I were a guy or bi, I'd think they were hot. And I think Danica is cool, just for a different reason. They don't offend me, I just don't see how they show what GoDaddy does - what does ripping my shirt open have to do with web domain hosting? But just look - from you and I discussing this, I went and looked up what they do, and now we both know, so I guess their ads are working!
Absolutely. Their ad worked!
Congrats to the Saints!! They covered the "spread" and I gots a $100 square in the 4th....1-7!!!
Congratulations, New Orleans!!!!
the feel good story of the year
As a Colts fan it is never good to lose but I feel good for the Saints, Brees and the city - well done
Hey Patrick,
Thanks, being a LA resident, I've watched the Manning family grow up here (NO), and I can tell you that they are indeed a class act.
have you ever waited on them?
What a sweet sense of victory. That peyton manning could do no wrong and he was to be the MVP. You could see the utter dejection in the first shots of him after he gave up the win-sealing interception. You knew he was down because of getting stymied with the 31 points answered by a token touchdown.
Atta way SAINTS.
i wouldn't put peyton in the top 5 best qb's ever, he's close but he's not done playing either, so maybe he will end up in my top 5. he does have a ton of class and seems to be a genuinely good person.
independentbychoice,
I'd put Peyton Manning in the top 5 just from the way he reads defense, and the whole Manning clan are very good and humble people, for what they have achieved. Agree with ya that he has alot of career ahead of him.
Peyton is indeed one of the top 5 best QBs ever. Both on the field and off.
Drew Brees was ridiculously impressive (32/39...but the Colts did not give up any big plays, only 288 yards which means they were mainly short passes). Could be an all-time great, depending on how long the Saints keep this team)
I went to Purdue, so I've followed Brees a long time. But I'm from Indianapolis, so the Colts are my team.
Peyton *will* be top 5 all time just because of Stats.
I don't think anyone will have more TDs, Yards, Higher Career Rating, more MVPs (4 now, which is the record).
The only records he won't hold is the single season TD (which he did have till Brady got 50TDs...and he was going for the record despite his team being 14-0, 15-0, etc Manning just happened to pass into the record 49TDs, he only had 2 in the final 3 games that season).
And he might not get Favres start record (300+ straight starts). I see Manning retiring before 40, but I could be wrong.
The Big Knock is Mannings playoff record. But this year he was brilliant. 7TDs, against 2 INTs I think? Or Chocking, but I don't think that's a fair description. He's been excellent in the regular season and playoff games the last 5 years.
This is the first time *he's* lost the game in the playoffs since 2004.
Put it this way...
I would consider Marino top 5 all time. And he won no Superbowls (never even went to one did he?). Manning has won a superbowl, been to 2, and been in 3 AFC Championship games, and is basically a statistical monster.
Put Manning on any great dyansty team, and the dynasty is better than it was. 80s 49ers, 70s Steelers, early 2000s Patriots, 90s Cowboys, etc.
When it's all said and done, he is better than Montana, Bradey, etc. He is simply a better QB. Now, he hasn't always had the better team.
The #1 QB all time is Johnny Unitus.
But I would put Manning ahead when he retires.
Marino went to 1 SuperBowl in the 1980s, and lost.
The Colts just got knocked down by a "cool Brees"!!!
name a qb that would be anything without an o-line?
oh i agree. it's a team sport. one player doesn't win or lose the game.
that said, brees played very good. i bet san diego wishes they would have gotten rid of rivers instead of brees.
I was amusing myself, not getting all factual at all. Lighten up, man.
Thanx, DJ. After 2 glasses of wine I find some odd things hilarious! What a great game, though! Edge of your seat kinda thing! My adreneline is still so pumped I'm gonna have to have a 3rd glass of wine to calm me down enough to sleep. Or maybe this calls for a celebratory shot of 'shine!
Tho I must say, the Colts did a fabulous job protecting Manning. They covered him NONSTOP!
Surprisingly low turnovers, penalties, and sacks.
I don't blame them for coving Manning after how the Saints tried to take out Farve
I'm happy for the team....
However, I don't know if the city will survive.....I'm guessing the people will demolish property and overturn a few cars....
They'll be partying hardy for real, they won the SuperBowl and got rid of that racist mayor as well..................
C'mon - they deal with Mardi Gras every year. They are used to this stuff. They'll be fine.
So far there's only been one shooting, but that's just typical New Orleans.
New Orleans has experiencein it's having a party. I don't mean to sound condescending, because I don't mean to be, but when it comes to parties most other cities are armatures compared to the Big Easy.
That was suppose to be *Amateurs*, not *Armatures* silly me can't spell and once again put too much trust in NV's spellchecker.
It wasn't even Mardi Gras or the Saints winning when I was there last March - and every other city I've been to is an amateur when it comes to partying compared to NO. And yes, I lived in NYC for a while and have been to Vegas several times.
Nothing compares with their restaurants, either. I would weigh 300 pounds if I lived in NO.
Manning in the same class as Montana? Not so fast my friend. Montana would not have thrown that pic 6 for the game winner. And to all those fairweather Colts fans who think that Peyton is their savior. WHO DAT! Congratulations Saints you deserved the win because you wanted it more. Now I can go to work tomorrow and talk trash with all those so called Colts fans. WHO DAT!
On top of it all, Brett Favre and BOTH Mannings will be kicking thier own asses for a long time.
I love it, I live about 13 miles away from Brett (the traitor).
THIS IS SOOO COOL!
how is favre a traitor?
He trots from team to team, all the while trying to play the hand of being a MS Gulf Coast Boy.
He goes where the money is, and not where his home is,
he is a traitor to his own home town.
He could have played for the Saints.
when could he have played for the saints?
are you with the same employer you started with out of school? or did you go elsewhere for more money?. if so, are you a traitor?
why knock a guy for going where he can make the most money? you must be a spread the wealth liberal type. how very socialist of you.
It's a "local thing" you don't get it.
It's like the Mannings.
They got their just deserts too.
It's a "local thing" you don't get it.
so you are a regional socialist?
why don't you try to explain it?
heh - "regional socialist" - I like it
@ independent
Might be the "logic of the south". Ya know... "I'm yelling about getting my freedoms taken away, even though I haven't lost one. But I'm more than willing to tell you how to live your life and take away your freedoms."
feronia,
lol. could be.
i'm guessing the "local thing" corsair mentioned is too embarrassing to let the rest of the nation in on.
Well - I'm a local and Corsair is ignorant.
Favre was one of the best college QBs on a mediocre team. He is the toughest and grittiest QB I have ever watched play.
Brett Favre was born in Kiln, MS. AFAIK, they don't have a pro team.
And there was no time where Brett could have played with the Saints.
One more thing. All the Mannings are as classy as they come. Something you will never have to worry about.
larry,
i agree with most of what you say about favre.
i'm in total agreement with you regarding peyton and eli manning.
i have no idea where corsair is coming from. he makes no sense.
So how many of the Saints are not traitors? By your definition, I would bet most are since they are playing for money and are not "local" boys.
What I think he may be alluding to is Farve "retiring" from the Packers when they started grooming a new QB; to come out of retirement and eventually end up playing for their rival team because they were the team offering him first string that was most likely to get him another SB Ring.
At least now they will stop talking about Peyton Manning and Joe Montana in the same breath.
Yeah, Manning is better.
How you can even mention anyone who played in the Non-salary cap era against this era in comparison is ridiculous.
Steve Young and Dan Marino were both better overall QBs than Montana.
Was Montana ever Clutch? Aside from "The Catch" show me how exactly he played in even 1 competitive superbowl they didn't blow the other team out in. Montana was never, ever tested.
San Francisco had the money to be the best. Period. A lot of QBs could look awesome with the offensive line, recievers, TE, defense that SF was able to buy.
At least until those guys retire.
There ought to be a record for biggest scrum in Super Bowl history. Man, that on-side kick was insane and beautiful. Hats off to Sean Payton and his incredible team.
Did "The Who"come out of the nursing home to perform the half time show? They look like at least 70 years old. Roger Daltry looked like he had a bad case of gas and the old man on the guitar must have some kind of neurological disorder. Give me the old "wardrobe malfunction" with Janet Jackson any day.
Correct but I guess it's ok to show all the crime and murder shows. Nutty priorities in this country.
I may be what you call a "puritan" but "The Who" was a disaster. What were they thinking. What a dissapointing half time show. However, the SAINTS made up for that big time! WHO DAT!!!!! WHAT A GAME!!! Congratulations NO SAINTS!
Go Saints! "The Who" was more like "What the Hell Was That"?
No football fan I know is a pop music fan, so this was better than Britney or Justin. But still - it absolutely sucked. Townsend's windmill was a joke and Daltrey can't hit the high notes anymore ... time to hang it up.
These comments are a joke. The WHO was awesome. If these guys were 25 or 30 instead of 65 they'd be called the best band in the world. Probably the best halftime music ever.
Um ... when they were 25 or 30, they WERE considered one of the best bands in the world. They just don't have what they had back then, and I know how they used to do Baba O'Riley enough to know that this version didn't cut it. I'm still glad it was them instead of some pop idiots, though.
I think ageism is getting the best of people who are commenting on this. I was very pleased at the awesome level of enthusiasm and skill The Who displayed. The assumption now is that 'geezers' can't get it done , and should be made fun of. This performance blew that criticism out of the water. I am not kidding, if they were young everyone would be talking about how great it was.
They're The Who. Those of us who remember them from way back when found this performance disappointing in comparison with what we've heard from them in the past. We can't help but make that comparison. The windmill was mostly for show; it sure wasn't to play some awesome licks. Even Sinatra kept singing after he didn't have it anymore; it's sad to see.
Those of us who don't remember are wondering, whf is The Who and why wasn't a newer band like Avenged Sevenfold playing instead instead of these geezers?
I actually liked the half time show. Much better than Bruce Springstein (I've never liked his music) and the lighting effects were the bomb!
Whoooo are you? Who-who......who-who?
Answer: The Saints :-)
Disclaimer: I'm actually a Steeler fan!!
In all seriousness, the reason the Avenged Sevenfold, whatever that is, isn't playing the half time of the Superbowl is because the middle aged millionaires who pay for events like the Superbowl want someone they have heard of doing the entertaining.
Yeah, and these are the people who brought us Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears in past shows - one time they combined Aerosmith with Britney to try to make everyone happy. What a disaster that was. They're never going to win, no matter who they bring in.
For those who would like to continue the halftime show discussion, John has just posted an article - not sure if it's kosher for him to post a link, but I can do this, so here you go:
http://johnrussell.newsvine.com/_news/2010/02/07/3867995-ageism-rears-its-ugly-head-in-criticism-of-the-whos-halftime-show
That's right. The airing of the crime and murder shows do not lead to further violence, but if partial nudity is aired there is an increase in rapes and molestations. Just ask the "shrinks" and censors - they have the data to prove it.
Right after the half-time show with janet, the viewership was down during the second half. People were busy performing acts of non-consensual intercourse.
I can't forgive them for bungling Baba O'Riley. They shouldn't try it.
But the rest wasn't too bad. Considering.
Good light show.
The teams on the field were great. There were too many damn commercials and I ended up watching the game with a book in my hands. My brain automatically turns off commercials so I couldn't watch the Super Bowl ads if I wanted to. I had to Tivo rewind a couple times when I missed a play. But you could do that during the commercial. For some reason this seems like the worst Super Bowl I've ever watched because of too many commercials!
Some of them were pretty damn funny! I forgot the rest already....
They sure were. We were ROFL at some of them. I think this was the best in commercials in quite a few years. Betty White, The Doritos, Bud and the babies were great!!
I'm not a fan of the babies; sick of those from normal ETrade commercials. But there were quite a few my neighbor and I laughed at - but like Citizen, I've already forgotten what they were. And I didn't run out and buy their stuff, and not just because of the snow. Maybe it was just the wine (yeah, I know, who drinks wine while watching the Superbowl - just shut up now).
*Hic*
Whaattt....?
Didn't I tell you to shut up even before you commented? Hummpphh.
*pfffttt*
This is really great and I'm happy for New Orleans. They have shown some real grit, tenacity and resiliance since Katrina and they deserve this moment. And Sean Peyton with that onside kick call, absolutely a genius call.
Way to go Saints, a well deserved victory. And to all the Colts fans, y'all played a great game, congrats on an incredible season and for showing alot of class here on the thread.
