Yes and unlike the Saints they won't play DIRTY football. I know it is not a Sunday school class and it is a violent sport, but it has rules against unfair play. If those rules had stood in the NFC championship the Vikings might have beat the Colts in the Super Bowl....they statistically thrashed the Saints. I will never accept a dirty win by the Vikings..they either win fair and square or it does not count in my book, that goes for that elusive Super Bowl win too.
The Saints had to pay $20,000 dollar fine for a dirty hit on Favre..that says it all.
they have refs to decide what is fair and not fair, stop crying already. The game is decided on the field. "Dirty" play did not throw that interception instead of running, Brett Favre did!
I am sick and tired of Vikings fans talking about "dirty" play. You lost! Get over it. Favre did play a good game but he got his teeth kicked in! And btw, the hit that hurt Favre was CLEAN. There was no fine on that hit. The fine came from another hit altogether. I can see how you may be confused because the Saints were beating the hell out of him all day. Maybe the Vikings can pick up a better O line to give the old man protection! The better team won. The only complaint you should have is the way the NFL handles overtime. Quit crying !!!
Really, Jack Baum, really? The refs can't catch EVERY penalty that happens on the field, and players are fined all the time for penalties that are not seen by the refs while the game is happening. That ONE unclean hit to Favre is not what lost the Vikings the game. They had a secure case of fumble-itis all night, and even after that they still could've won, but Favre threw their opportunity away. There's no need to be upset with the Saints or their fans because they won the first Super Bowl they ever went to, and meanwhile your team is tied for the worst Super Bowl record in the NFL. And BTW, the only hope the Vikings have of getting that close to the Super Bowl again is if Favre returns, and even if he does, I doubt he will have the same quality of year he had this year. He will be 41 years old, and he is gonna break down for real sometime really soon.

I never see anyone say that had the late hit (chop block) been called it would have givin the Vikings 1st and 10 at the Saints 19yrd line. Brett would have never thrown the pass and I bet the Vikings would have kicked a field goal to go up by 3 with 14 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

Get over it, man. No fans have ever whined like Vikings fans have since January. The Saints didn't play any dirtier than any other team. Go watch the game again. The turnovers were forced by solid defense. On September 9, the Saints will beat them again.

TK - I agree with you. As a Steeler fan (and with all we are going through right now with Big Ben), we shouldn't trash talk that way. Of course I want the Steelers to win the Super Bowl again, but if they don't make it to the big game, I ususally try to support the underdog (no pun intended toward Cleveland if they ever make it). So, if Cleveland ever makes it to the big game, I would support them, just like I pulled for New Orleans this year.
Really, with all the rings the Steelers have and the current QB situation, do you really want to knock Cleveland? I love any fan that continues to believe in their team even when the team hasn't faired so well. Saints, Cubs, Cavaliers, etc. After all, look at the Saints now.

I loved both of the teams in this year's game, but my head says that the Packers improving defense and talented quarterback will beat the Patriots next year.
Eternal: As a Packer fan all my life, I like the way you thing. We were #2 in stopping the run ths year, and damn good in pass D. Our QB and WRs are excellent. (Though Driver is getting seasoned.) All we really need to work on is offensive line, and we're set.

Cowboys will win the East and play for the title in Dallas. The Giants have talent but who is Eli throwing to this year? I know Eli got you a SB and he is a stand up guy. Cowboys will win the East and play for the title in Dallas. I'm not impressed by that at all. Dallas is still the same team year after year, despite new additions. They look good on paper and in regular season. Please do not mention Playoffs or Superbowl this year. We both know the P- word is a omen in Dallas. Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks will get it done at receiving. Look out for up and coming Victor Cruz. Antrel Rolle and Deon Grant will take care the defensive side of the ball. (crownizcrown)

If I was picking a favorite I would say the Colts. If I was picking an underdog, someone with better than 20/1 odds Tennessee would get my pick, very underrated offense, great defense, anything can happen with confidence in this league.
I believe that the New England Patriots will recover from their uneven season in 2009 and come back with vengance in the fall of 2010. Their only worry in capturing the AFC East title against the Jets.
It's gonna be the Bengals. Wait and see. A lot of bad happened last year that definitely didn't help. Losing a wide receiver to name just one thing. The running game is on track. As long as they pick up some good offensive players during the draft we should be straight. And honestly, I keep hearing about the Steelers and the Ravens. Hello? We beat them twice a piece. Our biggest threat in the North is honestly, the improving Browns. They are on track to do some REAL damage. It will be the Browns and the Bengals fighting it out for the battle of Ohio (So, maybe it's a pipedream. But, it's MY pipedream). But seriously, I think the Bengals will definitely be a big contender this coming season.
