Hype Week isn’t what it used to be. If you doubt it, keep track of the big stories coming out of Miami this week. New Orleans really, really loves its Saints. Peyton Manning is a really, really good quarterback. It’s not that there’s no hope for those of us who want a little controversy and trash talk. There’s always a remote chance that someone will say something that can be twisted into a controversy.

Gregg Williams is the very reason I hate pro sports. Dirty, amoral and trash. People like him don't belong in the business.

With a slogan, the long version of which is "Who dat sey dey gonna beat dem saints", I don't think any further trash talk is required!

A little rilvary and trash talk is great if it's in good spirit. Don't let yourself get carried away and it's pure enjoyment for all.

It is called sportsmanship. It is the quality that used to warrant the respect of professional athletes. Now I think cash = respect.

When a professional athlete knowingly intends to ruin the career of another it should be assualt. NFL uniforms should not get a free pass

If you feel like you must injur the QB to win the game then you are not a winner after all. Think about it, the two best quarterbacks and best teams facing off with the intention on winning. If you take a one of the key players out on purpose then you are losers even though you may win the game. Career ending injury is what the Saints are possibly going to give, that is sad. No game is worth that kind of risk. Remember N.O. the rules of the game when it comes to the hits you hope to deliver to Manning. Farve took at least 16 hits, no sacks by the Saints. Many were below the waist. I have no respect for a team that plays that way.

I understand that journalists like to pretend they are jaded, that they have seen it all (used to be one, saw it, don't deny it)

but the fans aren't jaded. i'm in Louisiana, and let me tell you: as a sportswriter you may have been to a dozen superbowls. this is our first one. so don't try to spoil it with a bunch of ka-ka that you create to get yourself more attention. it's not about you, honey. let the boys play.

Professional ..that's the word of the day. These boys are payed millions to play a kids game. NinaBee..I've been to 4...just don't ruin someone's career on a cheap shot. And as much as I love NO...i'm kinda jaded on your DE....let the men play!!!
