I agree that she is an extraordinary tennis player, but she doesn't have the personality that I like to see in a tennis player. She is arrogant, hasty and she looks like a boxer in a dress with jewelry. Just doesn't do it for me.
get over yourself. doesn't matter wehther she looks like to poor health models, or if you think she is not cute. Youi have to have attitude to play this game. The only attitude I see from you is, that you are a hater.
Your comments are totally ridiculous. In addition to being an extraordinary tennis player, Serena Williams is also an extraordinary person. She treats her fellow players and other people in general with utmost respect. She has done a lot to popularize tennis around ther world. She also devotes a lot of her time and her money to worthy causes. Among many of her charitable causes is a school in Kenya that was built with money donated by Serena and is financed by her on an ongoing basis. What does someone have to do in order to merit some respect on this planet anyway?
Caluzon, Your comments are exactly the type of comment that are unacceptable in this world. I was really emotional at the level of tennis Serena displayed in the Austrailian Open. She's a great competitor and definately a classic LADY not a boxer!!!! Caluzon get ready because there is more to come from this tremendous talent!!! Arrogence is not an issue, being ranked No. 1 in the world is!!!!!
Oh my! Who made the large pitcher of hater aid. Well she may no do it for you but she definitely does it for me and many more tennis fans. Who are you to judge anyway?
A championship in the women's doubles, and a championship in the women's singles. She played tennis everyday of the tournament! What other participant in the tournament can say that? Good tennis, and good luck in the rest of your career Serena.
Wow - you are full of compliements. All the majority of us know about Serena Williams is that she is a great tennis player who will more than likely win many more grand slams. You committed a double fault by assuming that you know her personal qualities oustide what you see on the court. All I know is that she is one heck of a tennis player and someone I enjoy watching. She and the other tennis players at the Aussie Open gave us great tennis.
I think Serena is the most amazing player out there today. She has such talent and determination. I hope she stays in the game for many years to come. Go SERENA!!!!
What's also disgusting, is all the grandstanding about her opponents, acting as if they're all these poor little blond girls in need of (male?) protection, and that the Williams somehow win their matches unfairly because they hit the ball harder. Henin hits the ball only 10 kmh less than Serena and her 2nd actually 10 kmh HARDER than Serena, so there!
How many more? I think a few more, maybe not 17-18, she's already 28, and she's not God. And Roland Garros will now be the exclusive domain of Henin, for sure. That would be a great trick, to beat Henin at her own RG. Besides, all the 'Ova's and 'Eva's are out there as well. And Clijsters. So it's not gonna be easy, she has her weaknesses, and losing 15 points in a row must give everyone something to think about.
Saw you on Ellen today. You looked fab. Continue to shine, next stop the exhibition match at madison square gardens then french open. Stay healthy we need you to play for many more years. Thanks for all the entertaining hours.
Losing 15 points in a row and NOT losing the match speaks volumes as a great player. Incredible tennis from Serena. How arrogant is "caluzon" who cares what you think, it's not about you. It's about Serena Williams and she does a terrific job being Serena. Come on French Open, let's see what Henin is really made of and can she stay healthy? Folks are always looking for a down trend with Serena, but everyone else is always going to have a glorious tournament. NOT.
Serena Wms is the ultimate female tennis player. This young lady is very talented and relentless who refuses to give up even when she is losing the match. Don't hate on Serena, but be happy for her.
Hey , so i will say this and try to be brief. Serena may not always be the most gracious and (gasp) had the audacity to lose her temper, but at the end of the day, she is one of the most remarkable tennis players to ever grace the game. For those who insist that she can do nothing more than hit the ball hard- you do not beat master craftswomen like Justine Henin by simply blasting the ball. It takes skill, athleticism, yes power, the ability to play offense and defense- All qualities that Serena possesses. Whether people choose to like her, she has earned her perch atop the womens game and it would be nice for people to not diminish her all the time as though she constantly has to pay penance for every mistake she makes. Mind me for saying it, but Justine, while she has gotten more gracious, has never been the most sportsmanlike player herself, but she is human too- and a tremendous competitor.
Imagine if Serena started working as hard as Navratilova did in the 80's. Serena hasn't reached her full potential yet. I'd like to see something happen in her attitude where she started to train to kill instead of training to get by. I'm not knocking her, I'm just saying that her skills are vastly unlimited and she could pass the Evert/Navratlilova record if she really wanted to.

Since when has arogance been deemed something new in elite athletes, male or female.
Oh, and by the way in the parlance of yore, Serena is a hot mama!
just because she is not white

you're sick
Apparantly, you two are or were friends since you know her personality?
Caluzon

If Serena can stay healthy for another 2-4 years, I think she can win another 8 grand slams. And I agree that she has a winning personality.

I'm just torn whether I like her more as an actress or as a player - she just was that good on E.R. !!!
I must admit, I have never seen Serena lose 15 points in a row, I mean TWO own service games, it's not nothing.
