I wish he would retire already, though congratulations to the Vikings because they have exacted revenge on the Cowboys because my Eagles let them win two games in a row. Frustrating.
And if he retired, your Eagles' losses would have been for nothing as the Vikes might not be where they are. The man lives his dream, despite everyone telling him he's too old. Rock on Brett.
Even if our Vikes and the insufferable Fahv take a dump next week, at least they ran the score up on America's Team and warmed the cockles of my heart. The ghost of Herschel was in the dome today.
The Cowboys were not that good a team and had no business being in the playoffs. They have a malignant cancer and his name is not T.O. anymore. It's Jerry Jones. Until he sells the team they will never be winners. The Vikings are a good team but don't get too excited about the numbers they put up against the Cowboys. That was like playing a good college team.
I hate it when crybabies like Brett Farve get their way... of course, Dallas made it easy for him... here's a hint, when the receiver is looking for the ball, that might also be a good time to get your head around as a DB... turnovers and missed FGs do not help either... Dallas beat themselves...
Did anyone else notice that the saints score minus the vikes score=11 and that the cardinals score minus the cowboys score=11? Just a weird thought....can't wait for the saints-vikes game that is going to be crazy.
The vinkings and favre have absolutely no class whatsoever after running up the score!!! The Saints will bury favre on the spot and into retirement where he belongs while puttin a big hurt on this classeless organization!!!
Boy oh boy, do the Dallas fans have short memories. Dallas punished Brett with several lopsided playoff wins in the past -- so the Cow-crys have nothing whatsoever to whine about.
A-numbers must not have watched pro football in the 90's. You never ever ever miss a chance to run the score up on the Cowboys. Ever. Number 1 defense my foot.
Cowboys' fans used to never admit defeat; it was always that the other team cheated, the refs screwed 'em, or God didn't want 'em to win. Their insecurity was borderline pathological. Tex Schramm had more inside connections with NFL officials and management than any ten team presidents, and the Steel Curtain Steelers were still the better team during the 1970s.
Go cry us a river, Cowboys fans. Looks like God didn't want you to win today.
running up the score? Don't like it, than stop them Defense. Or in Dallas' case, where's that top ranked defense? Cowgirls suck, Thanks for the extra Bye week, Dallas!! Dumb Asses!!!!
yeeehaaaa!! how 'bout them Cowboys! I'm a Giants fan so I was rooting more for the Cowboys to lose than the Vikings to win. Now Romo and his mates can all get comfortable on their couches with remotes firmly in hand and watch the rest of the playoffs and SB on TV.
Farve's last pass play for a TD proves how classless he his, focused only on himself. The Refs should have flagged him as well for unsportsmanlike conduct for the celebration on the field afterwards. I'm no fan of the Cowboys and enjoyed watching them get kicked all over the field but that last TD play was gutless.
Couldn't agree more. Show some class. I hope whoever is responsibel for making that call pays down the line. They looked good in my book but trashed it with that last touchdown.
See that's whats wrong with our society. If one team scores too much, then it shows as classless? We should make the other team's loss as painless as possible? Rediculious.
Where is the anger for Dallas where they basically gave up after the 2nd half? So is it not ok if Vikings just wanted the win more?
You and your "class" argument. It's football. You play to win. You don't get down on bended knee and say, "Hey fellas, this was so much fun today playing ball with you! We sure hope you didn't get your uniforms too dirty or your panties in a twist."
I'm guessing you played on teams where you lost by a hundred all the time but still went home feeling like a winner because you got a trophy for showing up. Life ain't fair, and football is a competitive sport. If he had the opportunity to throw ten more touchdowns, he should have, and each time looked up at Jerry Jones and said, "Eat that!" And then he should have looked over at Romo and said, "You wanna win? Quit idolizing me and bring your game next time."
That last touchdown said a lot of things. Perhaps loudest was the message it sent to New Orleans - "The game ain't over til it's over, so you better be prepared."
I'm guessing you played on teams where you lost by a hundred all the time but still went home feeling like a winner because you got a trophy for showing up.
Maybe guys like Firemark would prefer we institute a 10pt rule like we had in little league. I think these guys are adults and they know fans pay for 60 minutes of football. Not a bunch of pandering to save somebody embarassment.
I was glad to see Dallas get beat. Have never liked them and never will. With a min. and 55 seconds left get a first down and take a knee. They had them by 24 points and Dallas had no time outs. If you have to score that last touchdown to make yourself feel good, then theyhave problems and the rest of you who are living your fantasy's through them are even bigger losers.
Put down the Falstaff, get a real life, get a job so you can quit living off of those of us who work and stop fulfilling your fantasy's through your "hero's" in the movies and in sports.
Firemark, you should go play Candyland with the other cry babies. A professional football game goes for 60 minutes and the object is to score, knucklehead.
So I drop $60 or so for a ticket so I can watch a team take a knee? Sorry Rick, I agree with the others, the game lasts for 60 minutes. I'd like to see football, not a bunch of guys on bended knee. I can watch TLC for that.
You are basically condoning the idea that it was OK for the Cowboys to quit playing their hardest. That is the real problem with your argument, not the classiness of the Vikes. If I'm a Cowboy fan, I'm seriously doubting the commitment of my team going forward.
This has nothing to do with getting a real life or "living off of those of us who work" (where the hell did that come from anyway?). It has to do with getting what you paid for. For those of us that work, and even more for those of us that don't, that's still important. Feel free to waste your money all you like, it's your dime.
The Saints beat the Cardinals yesterday by 31 and Sean Payton even said they weren't going to back off the gas after halftime. Does that mean that the Saints shoud be criticized (as the Vikings are) for running up the score too?
right on Darwin!!! the Cowboys fans are p@@sed because of that last touchtown, the first 3 touchdowns were gifts. The object of the game is to score points, Cowboys defense is supposed to stop them, what happened?
Awee, poor Cowboys got their arses handed to them and everybody is upset how the score was run up.Boo-Hoo.This is what is wrong with society, you have to play nice. You have to play fair.Bollocks to that.I am sure if the Vikings were in Dallas they would have just taken a knee, but they are at home for the last time this season and wanted to give the fans what they want.If the Cowgirls would have played defense, they wouldn't have given up such an easy touchdown. The guy is wide open in the end zone, what,is Favre going to just throw the ball out of bounds or take a knee?I love how that knucklehead Troy Aikman was quiet the whole 4th Quarter.A guy that normally never shuts up was at a loss for words.Beautiful.
Cowboys fans have got to be a little upset because the almost everyone in the sports media picked 'em to win. I don''t think they remember the electricity in the metrodome during championship games or game much to the fact the Vikes were perfect at home this year.
Aikman should not be allowed to call Cowboys games. The issue of running up the score is an endless debate. I'm not a fan of it but it's gonna happen. You can either try to stop the team or hope for payback down the line.
Every team should feel free to score as many points as it can against its opponents and play every minute of the game. To suggest otherwise is emblematic of the softening of our society occurring in most every aspect today.
What a pathetic display by the Cowboys, impotent and lacking in pride. They got their asses handed to them and after the game Jerry Jones hugs Favre, other Cowboys laughing and smiling. YOU GOT EMBARRASSED! Why are you smiling? What a bunch of losers. Time to can Wade Phillips. And whoever signed Romo to a long-term contract should get their ears boxed! Utterly pathetic!
I only hope I live long enough to see the Cowboys extract some future revenge for the Vike's piling on. :) Because that's what this game is ... emotion!
With 6 minutes still left in an NFL playoff game, what would you expect the Vikings to do? I don't care if they were up by a hundred points, they still need to play the game and, at the same time, send a clear message to their next opponent. Jesus, this isn't Pee Wee Football you know! Despite being a number 2 seed in the NFC and having an awesome year, they have been marginalized and underrated by all of the sports media. At the same time, they've had to endure nothing but praise for this "red hot" Dallas team for the last week now. Nobody picked them to win this game! They were sick and tired of it and wanted to make a statement. Mission Accomplished! I applaud them and their obvious hunger for a title. Skol Vikes!
I would also mention that the Vikings fight song, written when the team was founded back in the 60's, actually includes the line "Go Vikings, run up the score. You'll hear us yell for more..."
Like the vikings and favre you that think running up the score with a few minutes left on a game that was over, are as classless as the vikings and favre. Lets here you classless morons cry when the saints bury the vikings and favre next week!!!!
I think it's real classy too when a team stops trying. And that's exactly what you are promoting. Real class come from getting clobbered but never giving up - even in the last seconds.
If you want to argue who's got less class, the trophy goes to Dallas.
Man, do memories ever fail. Guess thats whats wrong with folks these days. Dallas has had their fair share of playoff wins by overwhelming scores. But, I guess Brett was the only one on the field to have suffered the personal experience of being beaten in the playoffs by the Cowboys three times while at Green Bay, and several of those games were equally one-side.
When you suggest the Viking best be careful because what goes around often comes back to haunt them. Well, based on past Cowboy history in playoff games against Brett - the Cowboys should fully expect Brett to score on every opportunity. Rubbing salt in the wound -- you bet. Justified from Brett -- you bet. I just wish the one Field Goal had been a TD.
Don't like the Cowboy's either but they have never rubbed it in when leading by 24 points with 1:55 left in the game on any team thatthe head case played for. He has no class or loyalty and I hope somebody drubs his 40 year old carcass in the next few weeks.
At 40, Favre showed more spirit than the Cowboys did combined today. While he was out there dragging his "40 year old carcass" around the field running up the score, Dallas had a bunch of 20 somethings hanging their heads and giving up.
Give me Favre and his competitive spirit any day over a bunch of whiny players that get their feelings hurt because of a lopsided score.
I may be a Packers fan, but I do realize that the NFL is a business. I don't blame Brett playing for the Vikings. They offered him a big contract, and when it comes down to it, it is all about money. I never saw a situation where Brett showed no class during yesterdays game.
Every time I doubt the ability of the "Vikes", by napping through a game rather than watch them get pumeled by an over rated team I get the shock of reading how bad ass of a team they are! Dallas does have the finest looking cheerleaders, the only ugly one among them is George Bush! Cowboys dont need that fine of cheerleaders anyway, they're used to sheep and young steers!! How embarrassing.........Whats that name the Cowboy fans gave the Vikings......"Vikequeeens?" Well, looks to me like you cowboys just got bent over and "punked!!"
Who wrote this article. They said in the article the Vikes scored the last TD with a little after the two minute warning... it was actually a minute and a half BEFORE the 2 minute warning. The Vikings DOMINATED and DESTROYED the 49ers, Ravensw, and Packers twice and took their foot off the pedal. Those games weren't even close and the Vikings let those teams back into those games. It took a miracle TD against the 49ers and a missed kick against the Ravens to win those. The Vikings learned their lesson. Play 60 minutes.
The Vikings proved the Cowboys are a bush-league team. The 'Boys can wallop weak teams, break even with other mediocre outfits, and lose -- badly -- to the class of the NFL. The spanking given them by the Vikes was well deserved and could not have happened to a more deserving owner and team.
Brett is other worldly. He has no peer for performing at the very highest level at his age.
TBW, the only hemorrhoid here is you.
Even if our Vikes and the insufferable Fahv take a dump next week, at least they ran the score up on America's Team and warmed the cockles of my heart. The ghost of Herschel was in the dome today.
34-3 ouch.

The only crybaby I heard was Aikmen... they are being mean to my team boo hoo!
Poor boy's gonna cry all the way to the Super Bowl. The crybabies I hear most are the people telling him he can't do it.
Dallas sucks, and they are not "America's Team". The only people being crybabies are Dallas fans.
Did anyone else notice that the saints score minus the vikes score=11 and that the cardinals score minus the cowboys score=11? Just a weird thought....can't wait for the saints-vikes game that is going to be crazy.

another cry baby! The game is for 60 minutes!
Run up the score? You're upset because they ran up the score!?!?
Did that hurt your poor little feelings?
You might want to choose another sport to watch. Like Chess.
Boy oh boy, do the Dallas fans have short memories. Dallas punished Brett with several lopsided playoff wins in the past -- so the Cow-crys have nothing whatsoever to whine about.
another crybaby Dallas fan. Boo hoo!!
A-numbers must not have watched pro football in the 90's. You never ever ever miss a chance to run the score up on the Cowboys. Ever. Number 1 defense my foot.
And Aikman, of ALL PEOPLE, whining about it.

Go cry us a river, Cowboys fans. Looks like God didn't want you to win today.
Here's some "class" for you: How about Marianne Barber getting up representin' after a 4 yard run in the 1st quarter?!?!?!
And here I thought only the Patriots could be accused of running up the score!
I thought the game was awesome and I am so happy the Cowgirls lost! That being said GEAUX SAINTS!!!
running up the score? Don't like it, than stop them Defense. Or in Dallas' case, where's that top ranked defense? Cowgirls suck, Thanks for the extra Bye week, Dallas!! Dumb Asses!!!!
Love the Favre haters up in here. If your teams were better you wouldn't need to bash old man Brett.
Once again he proves that age and skill defeat youth and enthusiasm.
Go Brett!
yeeehaaaa!! how 'bout them Cowboys! I'm a Giants fan so I was rooting more for the Cowboys to lose than the Vikings to win. Now Romo and his mates can all get comfortable on their couches with remotes firmly in hand and watch the rest of the playoffs and SB on TV.

It it straight on the nail. LOL
Rick - what do you mean
I think those guys are coaching Little League, keeping trophy shops in business with the "Show Up and You Win" Weekly Award.
Maybe guys like Firemark would prefer we institute a 10pt rule like we had in little league. I think these guys are adults and they know fans pay for 60 minutes of football. Not a bunch of pandering to save somebody embarassment.
last time I checked the object of the game is to SCORE. It's Dallas's fault that they sucked.

Dallas beat themselves, by 31 points!!!
Rationalize all you want. They got spanked.
The old man showed 'em how it's done! Quit crying in your beer there's always next year.
Dallas, the hottest team outta the playoffs!!!!!
The Saints beat the Cardinals yesterday by 31 and Sean Payton even said they weren't going to back off the gas after halftime. Does that mean that the Saints shoud be criticized (as the Vikings are) for running up the score too?
I agree. How is scoring one extra touchdown running up the score?
Why is it spelled "Favre" and not "Farve"? "Favre" should be pronounced Fav-re. Was someone in his lineage dyslexic?
Why isn't Ratio pronounced "Ra-tee-Oh?"
Or Patio pronounced "Pay-shee-Oh"
Why do people say "Real-uh-tor" when there is no vowel there?
Why does George Bush say "Nu-kew-lar?" It's "Nu-klee-ar" George!
Ah, the endless wonders of the English language...
Of course, Favre is probably French. But whoever said the French made any sense?
right on Darwin!!! the Cowboys fans are p@@sed because of that last touchtown, the first 3 touchdowns were gifts. The object of the game is to score points, Cowboys defense is supposed to stop them, what happened?

Cowboys = Overrated.
Romo = Choke.
Cowboys fans have got to be a little upset because the almost everyone in the sports media picked 'em to win. I don''t think they remember the electricity in the metrodome during championship games or game much to the fact the Vikes were perfect at home this year.

Let's see, TCU, Houston, Texas and now Dallas--that's 0-4 for college and pro postseasons in the great state of North Mexico.
Don't let the door hit you in the Romo on the way out.
You forgot Texas A&M's loss and Texas Tech's win. How about those Oregon teams, though?
What a pathetic display by the Cowboys, impotent and lacking in pride. They got their asses handed to them and after the game Jerry Jones hugs Favre, other Cowboys laughing and smiling. Anyone but the Cowpattieboys.
Congrats Vikings!
Favre, this 2nd coming of yours paid off, but it's time to hang them up.
Go out while you're somewhat back on top.
I think he has two more games to win before hanging it up...
With 6 minutes still left in an NFL playoff game, what would you expect the Vikings to do?
