Kansas, which had been ranked No. 1 since the season began, lost its first game on Sunday, 76-68 to Tennessee.
I'm a diehard KU (that's Kansas, NOT Kentucky) fan, and they played like complete garbage tonight. As much as I hate to say this, I think Texas deserves the no. 1 ranking now.
But none of these silly rankings mean spit until March! See you in the Final Four!

But Kentucky has beaten North Carolina, Stanford, Louisville, UConn, and Indiana. Are those considered junk programs? I wouldnt think so. I agree there wont be any unbeatens in this season.... too much of a change in the sport since those long ago unbeaten years. Kansas lost to a team that had been depleted by the loss of four good players to suspension and UT had to recruit walk=ons to keep enough players out there. I understand a walk on with a three pointer helped put the screws to Kansas? What does that say?
