The stats say: Four Cy Youngs with Arizona vs. one with Seattle, five seasons leading the league in strikeouts with AZ vs. four with SEA, led the league in ERA three times with AZ vs. once with Seattle, threw a perfect game and won a championship with Arizona, and his career-high season in wins. I think that's pretty definitively a Diamondback induction.
I got to admit I am a little biased living in Phoenix, but I think he should wear his Diamondbacks cap. I was gonna say more, but after KV5s post, what else is needed?
Neither of those choices! The Hat that Randy has earned and deserves to wear in the Hall of Fame, is definitely a Cap of the Legendary New York Yankees!
As a life-long Yankee fan I want Randy Johnson to wear anything BUT a Yankee hat! So what if he was a great pitcher, he was also a world-class jerk! I never liked Johnson as a person (and that was long before he beat the Yanks in the 2001 series, so that isn't the reason), and when he became a Yankee I was never a fan even then. So wear an Arizona, Seattle, Montreal, even a San Francisco, but don't desecrate the Yankee honor by putting that hat on him.
Sanford, I totally agre with you. I only wrote this for two reasons, first, to break balls, and second, to read the responses that I would get. Personally, I don't think Randy ever earned his keep on the Yankees. There are two kinds of players, ones that were born to be Yankees and the second, that earn their Pinstripes. Johnson, were neither of those. From the moment that dirtbag got off the plane, then had a dustup with a reporter, through his tenure, he did nothing but be the arogant prick that he is. There should be standards to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, not just being a great player, but being a and having a Hall of Fame Character should also play a part to being elected to the Hall of Fame, and that prick, to me, doesn't deserve the honor. But, if he's going in, he should go in where he had his most success, and that's in Seattle, so he should go in as a Mariner in my humble opinion.
I'm a big NYY fan, and liked Randy being there, sorry we couldn't win during his time there. But the right answer is Arizona. The team with which you won a World Series, barring overwhelming reasons for something else, has to be the choice.
As much as it annoys me, probably Arizona because of the World Series. But he and Griffey saved baseball in Seattle, they need to name something after him. If not the field, maybe a back surgery clinic.

Arizona because that is where he began to shine and become the serious clown in the desert with Kurt Shilling and all the other clowns we had there in 2001 to remind people after 9/11 that a hard fight is what it takes go all 7 and never sleep.
It's gotta be a Mariners hat. He's one of the select group of players from that played in that city that is still beloved after so many years. He changed baseball culture in that town forever - and Yes, even beat the Yankees then, in the playoffs.
The stats were great in AZ, but I'll stay away from the conversation about an American League power pitcher going to the NL and dominating - as is usually the case.
Mariners cap all the way.
(He beat the yanks either way, so you have to like him - go Sox!)
The BIG UNIT will always be a Mariner at HEART. We love you Randy!!!
the baseball stats don't lie! check out randy's baseball stats here http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/johnsra05.shtml
he's a Mariner!

DBacks of course - where the Unit won his ring!

The Yankees????!!! Yeah, you're on the Fringe of many rational things.

I'm a Mariners fan, and was at the no-hitter he tossed against Detroit, but the guy should go to the hall in Dbacks cap. Sorry friends.
DBacks cap. I'm glad he played for the Giants at the end of his career, 'cuz he was a mofo to get a hit off of.
He was buddies with Rex Hudler back in the day. When Hudman got traded, Johnson always tried his hardest to strike him out - what are friends for?

Definitely Arizona. That was an amazing World Series vs the Yankees.
I agree with this guy:

I want him in an Expos hat!
A big "D" for D-Bag!! Yey!!!
The D-Backs for sure.

It doesn't matter today because their is no loyality in MLB or any pro sports....so why not put on a Nike cap and get some money for it???
Yankees, of course!!!
Yep best pitcher Arizona ever had against the Yankees. :)
And Jim Please this is the Sacred game of Baseball leave all that out of it :)

It would be great for Randy Johnson to honor Seattle by wearing his "M's" cap. He learned the art of pitching in a Mariners uniform.
