Better to fire the owner
I totally agree. Never cared for Jones after what he did to what made the Cowboys and that is Mr. Tom Landry. Then denied credit for what the Cowboys done with Jimmy Jones. Jerry Jones also allowed a lot of top notch players go over the years. Nope...I like Wade and would like to see him stay, cause the cowboys will not lose!!
He is not flashy, just a good hard working defencive couch. Without Jerry Jones he would be one of the best. But i like Jerry Jones too. If not for Jerry the Cowboys would be suffering for good players. Jerry knows how to go after and pay the great ones. If Jones would just let Phillips say yes or no to witch player he wants oh what a team we would have!
The root of the problem is Jerry Jones but he is also the owner. Can you imagine how many playoff games we would have won up to now if Jerry had listened to Jimmy Johnson. Well as they say, NFL--Not For Long. Job wise that is.
The only person that should be fired from the Dallas Cowboys organization, is the one that thought it would be a great idea to put a monster HD TV Screen right in the middle of the field, not taking into consideration that it might be in the way when kicking the ball, Unfreaking-Believeable!!! And, the damn thing is so big, that they can't even lift it to get it out of the way. I'm sure Jerry Jones and Hank Hill are steaming mad at that, and the fact that they lost the very first game in this new stadium, to a bunch of Northerners! Hank's probably praying to the Big Guy (Tom Landry), to help the Cowboys through this bad press nightmare!!!
What cracks me up about the big-screen is the fact that most Americans are addicted to TV. And what do most people do when watching TV. Stare! If you are at a live football game, you are supposed to be paying attention to the game being played on the field. Instead, you are staring at a screen. Home field advantage means having rowdy crowds drowning out the noise for the opposing teams offense and making it uncomfortable for them. Now, you just have a bunch of couch potatoes in your stadium zombified by the TV. An absolutely insane idea that could backfire. And what was that whole 3-D attempt? Isn't a live football game 3-dimensional anyhow? Oh well! What can you do. Happy New Year to all and be safe!
Why would you fire a coach that's making progress with his team? It takes time for young players to develop. A coaching change would cause the building process to start over at square one. I believe the failures of the Cowboys have been media induced causing Mr. Jones to acquire poisonous players that undermine the team. Romo is a great QB, however all QB's are only as great as their front line, WRs and RBs. It's a team effort. Players that need to exit are Flozell Adams (too slow, penalty sponge), Roy Williams (can't catch a ball even if his hands were dipped in super glue), need a better place kicker than Suisha.
The media reporting is getting old about the Cowboys. Question: Is it time to fire all the reporters and get new ones? Good grief, report something new for a change.
Jones is pushy. Phillips is quiet. Not the first combo like this in sports, but Phillips does not deserve the heat he gets. They win about as many as they should for the talent they have, maybe more. Give it a rest.
First off there hasn't been a coach in dallas since jimmy left. Second switzer was handed his trophy (thanks to jimmy). And jerry said there were 500 other coaches who coach HIS team. My question is... Where are HELL are they?
Jerry is NOT going to have a high caliabur coach until he give's up some of the decision making. and, that sure as HELL not going to happened.
AND JASON GARRETT IS NOT THE ANSWER, JERRY! HE dosen't know how to call 4th and 1 plays. JERK WAD!
He's not the problem with the cowboys. The problem is Jerry Jones and those low lifes he keeps bringing there. The other problem is the Eagles who are going to kick some Cowboy butt in Dallas this weekend.
Keep Phillips, fire Jerry Jones. Notice what happened after the team Jimmy built disbanded. No playoffs since '96. Dan Snyder, Al Davis, Jerry. Meddling owners and sorry teams. Clint and Tom, we miss you.
Leave the coach...send Jerry Jones to school with Bob Kraft...so he can try to learn how a real NFL team works...oh that's right he already flunked out of that school...5 times....Good Luck in the Big D.........looserville.
Having been a Dallas fan since 1961. I hope Romo performs well. He has plenty of talent . The entire team and coaching staff must perform well if we are to win it all.. Go Cowboys.
Well Rod, I'm sure glad I'm not the only one on this board that's been a fan of the Cowboys since their very first season in 1960, and the Days of that Lipton Ice tea drinker in Dandy Don Merridth. While I like Romo, I sure wish we could turn the hands on the clock back, and have Roger"The Dodger"Staubach at the helm. Then, we would brush every team aside with that kinda of leadership. But, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best! Here's a wish, that next year, is a damn site better than 2009 was, and to everyone on this board, have a very Happy Healthy and safe New Year! May two things happen, first, everybody that has lost or are looking for employment, get hired and back to work earning a salary again, and secondly, that my Dallas Cowboys can join my MLB team, in the Legndary New York Yankees, and go all the way and win this years Super Bowl, and become the Juggernaut they once were! Happy New Year Everybody!

Teams need to make progress, and just making the playoffs isn't progress. Winning one playoff game would give Wade another year.
