Tiger Woods, the world's No. 1 golfer, was injured in a car crash outside his Florida home, according to WESH, Orlando's NBC affiliate.
Tiger Woods reportedly injured in car crash

Did he have a stroke, or was he drinking? I hope he does not have a head injury since the air bags did not deploy. Bad news for Cadillac Escalade.
I pray he recovers!
Preliminary reports say no alcohol was involved, but you are sooo correct...might tarnish the Escalade's reputation a bit.
He should have taken the Buick.
they said no drinking ,mite have charges ..*
I hope he is OK. As we saw last year, the game is not the same without him.
Wow, best wishes for Tiger's swift recovery... It sure sounds like a bizarre accident...
Billy Joel was driving
We're hearing now that he's ok, which is great. At first they said "serious" but now they're saying it was minor; though he was hurt; but how is not clear.
Think that'll help?
Or should I say have you ever seen any evidence of it helping?
yes, I have, Puppy. Why is it so important to you that He not exist?
I didn't know American citizens had to explain where they were going at certain times of day.
You know you have to look for dirt in any occurance in today's lives of the stars. Probably going to the local 7/11 to get diapers.
Even if you do not like Tiger, a question of "What he was doing at ANYTIME of the day is so rude, so incorrect, such an example of the STUPID press. I mean, come on does your? car have a Check what time you are going out light on the dash.
Isn't anyone pissed off at these questions. ?????
I hope they do a blood test and find out what he was really on. Leaving at 2:30 am. Wife heard crash, must have been listening. Prob a fight. With any luck they'll find something in his blood and ban him. Pro sports players are all druggies of some kind. Greatest golfer, dumbest dad award.
Actually, I believe the fighting/arguing bit. It was just released in one of those supermarket tabloids that Tiger was caught cheating with a model.
Tiger and Elin have been married for about five years now and they have a gorgeous little girl and a baby boy. If a story came out about my spouse cheating when we have little children, I'd be royally upset also!!!!!
Very well might be why Tiger was leaving the house. She told him to leave and he has no dog house at the house.
I bet his wife threw the club through the back window which probably caused him to crash.... leaving the house so early in the morning.... Domestic violence is screaming on this one... He got caught and wifey went ballistic? He decided to leave and she wasn't done with him and threw the club at his departing SUV........ 2+2=4 This story doesn't add up at all...
The wagons are circling Tiger as we speak so he can come out of this looking as good as possible because too many people are sucking on Tiger's tit for their livelihoods to imperil his endorsement gravy train.
I know the Escalade's have On-Star, so they can track the vehicle's movements. I don't know why the authorities were so quick to say no alcohol was involved? The timing of the incident is just too coincidental to the recent Enquirer article alleging his affair, not to consider domestic problems.
However, when you are the billion dollar athlete, you can hire professionals in order to subvert the truth. We will never get the truth out of this incident, but Micheal Jordan has overcome far worse public relations nightmares and is still beloved by americans, just as Tiger will come out of this fiasco.
Hmmm- he is leaving at 2am, his wife takes a golf club to his car...
Sounds like he got his balls caught in a bad lie....
Just Curious: >Damn I wish I was black enough to be that damn privledged.<
Your ignorant comment is uncalled for. I am not a black person but I resent your crude remark. The man is incredibly talented and has earned all that he has achieved.
Surprisingly enough the article failed to address one very important fact. What club did his wife select to break the rear window & pry him out? I'm thinking that a pitching wedge would have been her choice!
Sounds like he took a two iron to the chin and got his bell rung. Maybe the whole car thing is a ruse to protect his wife from charges. Yes, blatant speculation, and this guy has been my hero a long time. Hope it all works out.
The number of comments made on this thread and the deep analysis which people have given the situation, prove there had better be intelligent life on Mars.
They were having a blow-up over his alleged infidelity. The cuts and scratches on his face were inflicted by his wife. As he was leaving she had taken a golf club and was striking his vehicle. When one of her blows shattered the rear window, that startled Woods causing him to lose control of the vehicle which went across the street and struck the aformentioned objects. Was alcohol involved? Unknown, but it is was, at this time they seem determined to cover it up.
That explanation is lot more plausible than anything offered up by the authorities so far. The Official Line, so far, has more holes than Paris Hilton's virtue.
Money talks and BS walks.
For most people, this issue is a private affair.
However, for stars and celebrities, they make a ton of cash off the public, and therefore they are, for better or worse, always in the eyes of the public and the media. That's the way it is. In effect, the public pays their salaries.
Seems to me that there was some kind of domestic disturbance which went very very bad. Now, I'd like to think that this is none of my business, and that I won't be following this story. But I can't say that. In truth, I'll be following this story, and speculating with the rest of you about what happened.
Can't wait to see the movie version.
....and I do want to say that Tiger's accident is completely Bush's fault.
Or Obama's. Or the Clinton's.
Take your pick.
Tiger Wood is hardly what i'd call an "athelete". He's a freaking golfer who won't even walk to his next hole. (But he will take his benz out at nite for her).
The things people will do for a little more attention! Golf must have been getting boring!
Nothing onerous in his blood will be found after 2 or 3 days, but who cares!
Duh...he was going to a Black Friday sale.
Typical lazy MSNBC reporting; no facts expect historical and only repeating what the tabloids were saying. By the way where were you when Edwards was reported by the same tabloid having an affair, too busy lapping up the Obama scent?
Wudda had to been the butt bags. He was backing out.
Whatever it is, is. Don't talk about with anyone. Why give the network news high ratings as their popularity, etc makes them money. Make them spend, lose, not gain.
There's nothing anyone can DO anyway. Ignore. Silence is golden. Woods will win, lose, and/or draw whether or not people root or don't root for him.
Looking out for #1 means looking out for yourself UNLESS you are paid to look out for someone else. Praying for him would be an exception.
All the essential ingredients that fuel the muck raking media is contained in this article.
First, there's a celebrity. Secondly, it's a celebrity at the top of his game and the media can't find any dirt. Notice they had to mention the price of his home? That had nothing to do with the story other than to bring wealth into the picture. The fact that they attempt to imply Tiger somehow owes an explanation to the media and fans is ludicrous. He owes nothing to the media at all. He has provided license, registration and insurance coverage information to the authorities. IF and when he wishes to speak to the media is completely at his discretion. Personally, I wouldn't blame him for staying mum on the entire ordeal other than what he is responsible to provide by law. If you need any other indication as to just how sick and twisted this ordeal is - Just look at the stink that is being raised because "every ten seconds" people are updating their tweets. That, in and of itself, shows that there are a lot of people with nothing better going on in their own lives. How sad is that?Frothing at the mouth and keyboard just to muck-rake a guy who has done them no harm at all. These are the kind of people a certain individual in Washington, DC surely must have meant when he stated to the world that Americans are arrogant, cause it certainly shows in this fiasco.
Don Henley wrote a song years ago called 'Dirty Laundry' and this proves his point.
"In its initial accident report, the patrol said Woods left his house, ran over a fire hydrant with his Cadillac Escalade and then smashed into a tree at 2:25 a.m. Friday. And Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor said Woods’ wife told officers she heard the crash from inside their home, and used a golf club to break out the back window." >>>>> The Escalade had BOTH back windows broken out, and Tiger had lacerations about his face and was unconscious for 6 minutes. If you are a golf pro and in a fight with your wife, better make sure your clubs are where she cannot get hold of them. I'm just saying....
You have to going, at least the report indicated, at least 33 mph before air bags will deploy. I don't know if that's the case with every vehicle or not.
I am pleased to hear his injuries are minimal. This is a private matter, the police and the press should stay out of it now.
Oh yeah, I'm glad to know he is human!
I think she whacked him and the escalade with a golf club after the report came out he was banging someone else. He should've just bought her a huge diamond ring and got her likeness tatooed on his arm. That worked for Kobe.
IF the speculation about his wife taking a golf club to him are true it is hardly a private matter. If I or any of the other posters had a spouse lay a 9 iron on them the police would call it assault and battery and where or who it occured to would be irrelevant. His celebrity status does not entitle him to shield a felon if that is in fact what happened
Joe F Las Vegas:
His wife took a gold club to the car window, not to him.
Furthermore (to Joe and everyone else here with nothing better to do than act like a Hollywood gossip on steroids) ...
"Where he was going at that time of the night?" NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
"How did he lose control of his SUV at such a speed that the air bags didn't deploy?" The police may have an interest in that issues, but, otherwise ... NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
"Why were both rear windows of the Cadillac Escalade smashed?" The police may have an interest in that issues, but, otherwise ... NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
"If it was a careless mistake, why not speak to state troopers trying to wrap the investigation?" Because people like you love to trash and pry into the personal matters of celebrities, and the less you know the better.
GET A JOB, all of you!
Torgo: The only one who has a right to an explanation in this situation is the tree that was hit. It's nobody else's business.
Must be nice to enjoy the option of meeting with police whenever you might feel like it. Nappy over yet, Tiger? This would never be the case with me or members of my family--certainly not where I live. We live in a society of double standards--one for the rich and/or famous and one for the rest of us. This is totally unfair and yet another sign of our decline as a nation.
I too am suspicious about the circumstances. He actions speak equally well of either a person who is waiting for forthcoming evidence, to be sure he doesn't get caught in a lie (because he's smart and wants this to go away without making it worse), or his publicist is saying "stay invisible" let this thing just blow over, it was a stupid mistake.
Without any hard evidence, there is no conclusion other than what Tiger admits. Of course, I'm not a US court and can leap to fantastic bouts of speculation without evidence! :-)
Here's my take on what happened...
Wife confronts hubby re alleged affair. Big argument breaks out. Wife picks up golf club and charges after hubby. Hubby runs, gets into car. Before he could take off, wife pounds car with golf club, breaking windows. Hubby takes off at a high rate down driveway to get away. Loses control of car, hits fire hydrant and then tree hard enough to put a good dent into car and then some.
He's not talking because he's hugely embarrassed. I would be too.
National Enquirer is standing by its story. If they protest and the Enguirer has proof, his goose may well be cooked.
"Best wishes to you and your family, Tiger. I've enjoyed your work very much."
I didn't realize golf was such hard work.
Golf is hard work! All that standing around outside in the bright sun where it gets hot! And having to breathe all that air outside all day long, who knows what kind of stuff is in the air these days? And, besides, even driving or flying is risky! And don't even get me started on all those crazy golf fans!
I hope they pay Tiger LOTS of money to do all that!
Preliminary reports all made sure to mention "alcohol was not a factor". Interesting how that is reported everywhere yet a BAC test was never given. If he had been tested and it came up negative you can bet that it would be mentioned. Instead you have to do some research to find out that tests were never administered. The police say no breathalyzer was given because the police did not have "probable cause". That is great. I'll be sure to try that one next time I crash into a tree at 2:30 in the morning.
Ah, whatever happened to the good ole days when a pro athlete's private life was his? Now, every time they blink the media blows it up. Leave the man alone, for God's sake.
to the coment " I pray he recovers"
Well ............."I pray he gets his just due" which would be jail time. He is a menace on the roads and this speeding and drug use has to stop and woods would be the PERFECT example to hold out to the public. Let them look up to that and figure out that drugs and driving dont mix. Some one has to protect the pedestrians and the kids that play on in the grassy areas by the side of roads. Private or not private.
It's all Obama's fault... just like everything else (according to the "right")!
Gunnycoop, you are one ugly cat! Tiger has taken golf to a whole new level because of his conditioning. He is the kind of guy we want to have in the lime light. There is no need for all of this ugliness.
The reality is this is a domestic dispute gone public no other answer fits the circumstances. I agree it is none of my business and he doesn't have to provide any more information to any of us. However, if it was someone of lessor social stature and/or the aggressor was a man, the police would be all over this even to being required to charge the guy regardless of whether or not the wife was injured and regardless of her wishes.
Hey, Tiger, I know a great on-line traffic school!
Sorry Tiger, but it just doesn't add up:
1) On very familiar territory and with no alcohol involved and at very low speed, it stretches the imagination to believe that you hit a fire hydrant then traveled on without correcting the path of the car and hit a tree --- all at less than 22 mph (the airbag deployment speed.) Maybe you were driving angry, or on your cell phone, or there was some other undisclosed factor?
2) If your wife broke out the rear windows with a golf club, where did she get it? Did she bring it with her to the crash? Why? Did she return to the house to get it? If so why did she not just get the spare keys to the car and unlock the doors. It makes it sound like she broke out the windows before the crash and just happened to still have the club with her when the police arrived.
3) And there is the peculiar timing with the tabloid stories about an affair with a night club hostess. Could that possibly be related? After all, if you read her statement and yours, neither of you actually deny it. And them there are those photos from Australia .... Whazat about? It would have PO'ed my wife, why not yours? Especially those graphic descriptions of your "equipment" attributed to your hostess friend.
4) And it happened at 2:45AM in the week before a major tournament that you sponsor. Don't athletes still look to good nutrition, proper exercise, and rest as keys to performance? If you are running around at that time in the morning just before a tournament, you don't need to be looking for your name on the leader board, do you?
5) And why does Mr. Squeaky-Clean blow off the cops? All it would have taken was a simple statement to them and the result would have been exactly the same --- a reckless driving ticket. Except without the drama and doubts that you created. Not to mention the idea of not cooperating with the police is not exactly the kind of role model athletes should be setting.
6) Why not issue a statement that says, "I did not have sex with that woman." "Those photos from Australia were photoshopped." and "My wife and I completely disregarded an affair alleged in the tabloids."
Instead what you have are a raft of online "Tiger Woods Driving School" java games where you see how many fire hydrants and trees you can hit with a golf club sticking out of your rear window.
You want your privacy. But a billion dollars erodes privacy and part of that is the price you pay to be a celebrity and collect those easy endorsement dollars. A zipper is an easier piece of equipment to operate than a golf club. A marriage is a lot more work, however, than working on your long putt. And for celebrities the last two seem to be frequently related.
My name is Buster Brown and I live in a shoe. Arf arf. That's my golf pro Tige and he lives in the public eye.
Hello, how do you spell trash? So far, the wife is the only one coming out of this with any dignity, whatsoever...
So ol' Tiger can't keep it in his pants ehh? Ms. Grubbs is a gold digger, why else would she keep 300 messages?
Wifey finds out and beats the crap out of him with his golf club. Sounds like justice to me.
This is without a doubt the most trivial news event next to the rush for Cabbage Patch dolls...How pathetic are people that they would go thru so much effort, time, and money to investigate a person who simply hit a tree with a vehicle.
In Washington, you have 4 cops who were murdered execution style with the suspect just found and killed the other day by the police...
We have a major announcement of 30,000 troops being deployed into Afghanistan
And despite all this, pitiful reporters and Americans choose to focus on Tiger Woods...
This country is turning into a society filled with catty and petty citizens...I fear for the future awaiting for my kids...
It’s A Culture Thing…………The War Goes On
Our culture pushes aside the poets, writers, artists, social philosophers, scientists, social progressives and exalts celebrates of the cinema, finance, politics, social psychopaths and, of course, sports figures. Lets not forget the slaves to fashion; the means is the medium of television and the movie theaters. This is of course followed thru with tabloids (print, hate talk radio and television) masquerading as news. Pure decadence when we add too the mix the C street crowd, meaning the religious zealots and self-righteous moralists, for example the euphemistic “pro-life’ shouters. This entire cornucopia of stupidity thrust on to our collective mindsets thru our greatest means of communication, the television. We are thus forgiven but not redeemed.
I never did like Tiger as a person I am not the least surprised to see his down fall to mere mortal status. I could care less for the poor little stupid social icon, part of me is even pleased that the country and world has cause for pause. Remember there are still two wars, unemployment and the national social model (for the next 100 years) being co-opted by our overseers as poor little Woods hypnotizes us. I suppose its “nothing too get hung about”, it’s a culture thing.
Allow me to digress to a matter of more substance by merely reciting one of my favorites and his feelings about War. I share his sentiments and tell you I will support for now our President but the leash is short. I support our President from patriotism, though I know some of our best will never see our land after deploying. My support is a mile wide and an inch thick. The balkanization or if you prefer the tribalism Afghanistan makes Iraq look like a well-ordered society. The loss of lives and the war profiteer? How much more of this Afghan War can we take?
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children....This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from an iron cross." DD Eisenhower 1952
Think About It……….Please
It was more of a penalty stroke.
My prayers and thoughts are with him and his family. I truly hope he recovers completely.
That's nice but maybe you could keep your religion (myth) out of it and just pray in private?
Hey Puppy! We're even praying for you! And we refuse to keep God, Jesus, and all the angels out of it!
You call it myth: but you don't know for sure. Assuming you are not all-knowing, despite what you think, within the area of which you know nothing, God may well exist. Logical.
So I respectfully refuse, and always will. May God bless Tiger and his family.
Not believing doesn't mean you have to be an a**hole. I don't believe either but I'm not going to tread on others right to have faith. I don't like it in my politics but that's life.
Puppy... Maybe you should keep your atheism (assumption) to yourself. Why does it bother you that they speak as they do? And, why do you presume your opinion (because that's all it amounts to) is more important, or valid? Chill, buddy - jeez... don't be so bitter. Your miserable life isn't their fault.
Hey there, good puppy...your wish came true out in Olympia, Washington. So now, why don't you go out in the back yard, dig up & gnaw on an old bone. Thatta boy.
Hey puppy,
Alot of folks don't believe until they're sitting in HELL. Please dress accordingly.
Ah and PanhandleMike reveals the true loving and compassionate mind of the faithful - you better believe or you'll be sorry.
And I have no problem with faith so long as, like astrology, people keep it to themselves and do not try to suppress science education or make other peoples sex lives their business.
2 deleted, jkenney1973 fakeposting, then calling everyone who voted for his/her [admittedly dumb] comment 'idiots'. Cut it out. You're suspended for a day for violating #4 and #5 of the Code of Honor. Go do that on some Rivals forum.
why is "Rivals" capitalized?
I see last night where the great Keith Olbermann had some typical of him comments. The great Olbermann needs to be taken off the air, he is the worst type of human alive.
How does a person get seriously injured by pulling out of their driveway? You're going about 4 mph.
I'm presuming that his driveway might be a little longer than the average.
You know what they say, some guy's driveways are longer than others. Sorry, couldn't help it.
even so, how do you hit two things? A fire hydrant and a tree!
Clip the hydrant and veer into the tree. The two could be close together. I have come quite close to doing that very thing while exiting a driveway. Just glad I'm not famous, so my fender-benders don't make news.
Lots of possibilities. Something could have run across the road and he was avoiding it. He may have been trying to put his seat belt on and lost control. Facial injuries may indicate no seat belt. Why jump to the negative? Benefit of the doubt is in order. Glad to hear he was treated and released. My guess is they kept him a little longer to check everything out. Head injuries, even if it's just cuts, are being taken very seriously these days.
LOL, yeah, like his wife maybe veered in front of him hollering Tiger, your too f/u to drive, come back home and sleep it off.
Excuses? What, do you think he intentionally hit a fire hydrant and a tree?
The airbag did not deploy, therefore his face hit the steering wheel. Also was he wearing a seat belt?
I wonder if he submitted to further testing like a blood test, urine and hair sample. He should if for no other reason than to put all the hecklers to rest.
Not if you gunned an Escalade and spun around!
I read an article yesterday that it was estimated the speed of the SUV was in the low 30s. Anyway, it's probably a good thing he didn't make it out of the driveway and onto the public roads. Must've been in a hurry to get out of that yard. 30 mph in a driveway could easily equate to 70 or 80 on the road.
I'm still working on the combination of facial cuts and no airbag deployment. If the impact was hard enough to cause facial cuts, why the hell would the airbag not deploy? You can bet Cadillac will have something to say about this, and soon. Their PR flaks must be working overtime this weekend. And if airbags have to wait until impacts of 34 mph in order to deploy, we're screwed.
One story (on TMZ) is that the scratches came from his wife, not the impact of the crash, which dovetails with the lack of air bag deployment.
Just Curious-1468155,
You mean the excuses FOR him... hitting a fire hydrant and a tree?
Maybe the gas pedal got stuck under the floormat!
I always heard that you should believe NONE of what you hear or read and only about 1/2 of what you see. Sure makes life easy and simple and all that speculation down.
His foot slipped. Old enough to remember Nixon's secretary when she "accidentally" erased the tapes? Foot slipped. Yeah, that's the ticket, mate.
The article says it's not alcohol related, so I guess it was just an accident. He lost control of his vehicle. I do hope he recovers, however, there is still too little information.
There was probably a spider dangling from the rear view mirror. I've almost wrecked a few times because of that.
Me too! I thought I was the only one. :)
Like the guy who drove his supercar into the swamp in Texas recently. A temporary distraction, or a Thermos botttle falling on the gas pedal...???
A161... I hear ya. I nearly caused a multi-car pile-up on a freeway once when a BIG a$$ spider happen to walk across the inside of my windshield. I'm deathly afraid of spiders and all of those freakish legs for some reason.
I tried so hard not to freak out when I saw the spider, but I could swear that it looked at me, with it's beady eyes and tentacles, and was hell-bent on making me crash up.
When things finally calmed down, I was ticketed (it was my fault) for reckless driving, but at least the highway patrolman was kind enough to kill the spider out of my car. I was so thankful that no one got hurt. It was the darndest thing that happened.
I'm so happy that Tiger is OK, as the game of golf is not the same without him. Get well soon Tiger!!
sam, and the articles are always right.
I was actually thinking the same thing. A huge spider carrying it's nasty egg sac dangled in front of me as I turned a corner. Out of fear and shock, I went across the other lane, and thank God(!) there was no on-coming traffic b/c it would have been a horrible accident. Those d@mn spiders!!
Exactly JT!!
Tiger and his wife should meet with the State Police, make a public appearance and tell the truth, no matter how embarassing it may be. What they (he is) are doing now is ruining his reputation. It looks like he has something to hide. More than likely, he does. Be a man and act like one by telling the whole story. Celebrities need to realize that they have a responsibility to the public even though they deserve privacy. I, for one, am extremely disappointed.
Wow, no notice whether another car was involved. How in the world could this happen pulling out of his own dirveway if another car was not involved!
It was a " WHITE " bronco.
Sounds like he hooked it.
probably drugs, he is a hot head who I never thought would beat Jacks records, cursing, throwing clubs, this doesnt suprise me, he is out of control thinking he is better than everyone else
Jeez Bob, how do you really feel?
Having a meltdown are we Bob? :-o
please give me a @!$%#ing break
Bob, Baby steps, Bob! Baby steps!
why dont you lay off Bob? He is entitled to his opinion just like you are.
also
reality101
man up there.................you are only about 10,000 times bigger than a spider ! ! ! ! ! !!
I know that Tri Ed... but spiders just freaks me out. I guess it's all of them spiney legs that does it.
what's golfing having to do with his accident?
Sounds like Bob is upset because someone out golfed his hero.
Terribly incomplete article...........................as usual. No facts, just leaves us to supposition.
Right...Journalists have magic powers that allow them to instantly get all details and put 'em on the web for you. The lazy ones fail to use their magic powers and just grab another beer.
No, you got it wrong, Sman-461056. The journalists don't have the magic powers to instantly fabrica- I mean, discern all missing details from the story. That power is granted to Newsviners by the Almighty MSNBC.
SUPPOSITION
1) a guess: a message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence
2) assumption: a hypothesis that is taken for granted;
3) the cognitive process of supposing
4) conjectural: based primarily on surmise rather than adequate evidence
5) To take for granted; to conclude, with less than absolute supporting data; to believe; To theorize or hypothesize
BOB D....this story is about Tiger Woods....not sure who you're fantasizing about.
John McEnroe, probably. Tennis...golf...country club sports, you know.
And you know that Tiger and John are practically twins.
Are you two saying you don't think Tiger has a temper? I'm not saying Tiger was on drugs, or anything like that, but you have to admit...he does get a little carried away on the course occasionally.
well, its factual, I have seen him play in person, his attitude is terrible, he is TROUBLE, not a good example for kids or adults, I think he is strung out on pain killers, wait and see, that and I think he takes roids, seen how strong he has gotten as he gets older, NOT NATURAL, another fact. Hope he lives but could care less if he ever plays again, he is bad for the game I love.
Well...I don't like him either Bob, he's an arrogant, cocky b@s+@rd!!
Maybe, this accident knocked some of the arrogance out of his hoity toity ass!
And your point is R?
Tiger is the ONLY reason I watch golf, all the other Elite snobs that play are just boring........... And Tiger has done many good things in his life for others......
RF,
I will be glad to put my eight years of college, GPA and GCT up against yours. From a Southern Hillbilly Red-Neck that flew 1/2 way around the world to NOT vote for BHO, but I didn't vote for Bush either... Ha! Ha!
I'm not a fan of Tiger's because he is a scab. He thought little of crossing a picket line years ago to film a Buick commercial when actors we on strike.
And BTW, I canvassed for Obama coutless times and continue to work on behalf of his initiatives, so no, my dislike is not based on race. Sorry, chum.
Yeah RF,I'm white and I think GW Bush is an arrogant prick so what's your point?I think Tiger got caught dipping his wick and the wifey imposed a little attitude adjustment on his under par behind!
Congrats RF...you're comments are as ignorant and bigoted as any racist anywhere.....I'm an educated, southern, white woman....and I have seen Tiger play....and I had the opportunity to meet him....he was gracious and a little quiet....his manner of play is intense, the man wants to win and expects ALOT from himself.....what the other posters see as arrogant is just their lack of understanding about working that hard.......Frankly RF, Bob, Dan and Isabella....you're all just different sides of the same coin.....Ignorant and prejudiced. How sad......what kind of role models are any of you for anyone?
I don't set myself up on any pedestal to try and be a role model. Nobody's perfect. Why follow someone else just because they happen to have a good game of golf and become rich? Just because a person is rich and an athlete doesn't make him or her some kind of super hero. He or she as the case may be is still human and therefore, no human is meant to be placed on a pedestal just because they can knock a golf ball into a hole.
You people put too much store on Sports and many of these people are found to be shallow, thoughtless, inconsiderate and unfaithful.
I live MY life as I see fit and I don't need anybody to set an example for me to follow, except for my parents. That is what is wrong with people today, they're looking to the rich and famous to teach them how to live. You know the difference between right and wrong, just try doing more right than wrong!!!
As a physician, when a person is involved in a single-car crash, 2 immediate things come to mind:
1. suicide attempt
2. substance abuse --- they said alcohol wasn't involved. but, there are plenty of other illicit & licit substances that can be involved.
Hope he is OK, but when I heard this, a chill went down my spine. Doesn't sound good.
3. domestic violence/trouble --- given the time of night & the holiday

"Hope he is OK, but when I heard this, a chill went down my spine. Doesn't sound good."
As a non-physician I'm still trying to diagnose that chill down your spine. In the meantime , take two aspirin and mail me the $100.
RK,
Where I come from, there are single car accidents, including those of police, because the deer run in your path. I personally, was hit 3 different times during hunting season when they ran into my car.
So, another reason, a marital argument. Of course, no man/woman has ever stormed out of the house during an argument. Hmmmmmmmm. That might be too NORMAL for a man like Tiger. The reason will come out tomorrow when he talks to the police. but I guess the Tiger haters would prefer to believe the tabloids or the speculations of others.
So what if he had a fight with his wife, he obviously did no harm to her. I had one that tried to run me over with a car and another that was going to shoot me with my own gun. No, I kept the car and gun and got rid of the wives! Sometimes when people are angry they should not drive, ever heard of road rage, wife's can bring it on also.
ROTFLMAO!!! Good one RF!!!
AZ.............two women wanted to "bump you off" hhhhhmmmmmmmmm
maybe you should look into a mirror and give some thought to your shortcomings and what caused them to react that way. MAYBE
IT IS JUST YOU THAT IS SO WRONG AND OR OBNOXIOUS
Makes you wonder AZ why they both felt this way about you. It couldn't have been something you did? I mean, it was just that they were crazy, right? Also RF-74, I agree with what you said. I think there are other reasons.
Yes , this does sound like some of the facts are missing , one would presume his driving would be somewhat after his golfing expertise(?) The length of his drive way should have no bearing on this accident , all good drivers stop before pulling out onto the road , do they not ? Charges pending , minimum would appear to be dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention .
On the other hand , the charges could relate to destroying public property , my goodness , a fire hydrant AND a tree ?
All those canines that frequent the firehydrant and the tree would be 'pissed'.
There can be a possiblity that another driver is involved or paparazzi distracted him
had-enough
THere are no paparazzi at Windemere.
Wow $2.4 mil. House! Just wow, I hope he didn't damage anything.
Can anyone tell me the correlation between his being hurt and how much his house is worth? These reporters are all idiots.
The amount of berating one deserves for shortcomings is directly proportional to the value of their house. Every proper journalist knows this.
YES definitely............theres an old saying that goes
"HE HAS MORE MONE THAN BRAINS"
Sounds like an argument with the wife. Thanksgiving, 2am.
Don't drive angry!
Massive overdose of tryptophan...it'll do it every time.
maybe she would not let him have the wishbone ? ? ? ?
or she was just fed up with him messing with the nanny.
S##t happens.
A and B do not make C here. Something is not right here. But then what is new?
The cops did say alcohol was not a factor. Who knows ? He could have pulled out of his driveway, swerved to miss a cat or something, hit the fire hydrant and lost control of the car, which then hit a tree. Accidents happen and the explanation could be as simple as that. I just hope he is going to be okay.
Yeah, and his wife always has a golf club in her hand, (for just in case)?
Well... he did dmg a fire hydrant so... maybe that is where the charges being filed against him are coming from...? I never completely trust a "breaking news" story. They are always over sensationalized to grab a readers attention.
charges are not RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT,,,,hmmmmmmmmmmm sounds like OJ to me
it didnt say not related to the accident... it said "not alcohol related."
So are you saying I'm related to Bob.D. I'm really having trouble following all this.
In a story like this can someone tell me why what exclusive neighborhood Tiger lives in and the value of his house is relevant?
No one knows what happened yet and the assumptions of some of you people are disgusting. Lets pray Tiger will be o.k.
I am truly shocked these days at so much hate and anger out there. We have no idea what happened except the world's greatest golfer was injured in an accident. Must we start judging before we know what happened and is it our place to judge no matter what happened.
It is Bushes fault
was waiting for that- lol
No, this is not Bush's fault. He's wearing the collar for enough other crap, rightfully so.
Carolyn ..................Tiger Woods was injured. PERIOD.
The worlds greatest golfer in not on the PGA tour as yet.
You mean.... Faldo, Vijay, ... don't count?
How about Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Severiano Ballasteros, Bobby Jones .... Do they make the list?
There has to be at least one or two great golfers somewhere on the list, somewhere in history, at one time or another?
Possibly the list is more noticiable by who isn't on it than those that are.
Maybe him and that white trash sk*nk he married got into a fight and he left puffed up and hit the hydrant and bounced off into the tree.
I wouldn't mind taking that trash out.
Sorry but I wouldn't touch anything that Woods has touched even only once.
For that matter I wouldn't touch anything you had touched either.
As, if!
If you want to take "that trash out" better have a billion buck$. Trophy wives cost money. Ask OJ.
In every couple, "One is the trophy, the other isn't," I always say.
tiger released from hospital per NBC, no word on the condition of his wife??? hmmmm
Show me a good loser and I'll show you someone who's good at losing. Mosconi threw a pool cue like a javelin once at a world championship pool tournament... intense competition requires intense emotional involvement in the outcome... high level competitors are prone to these kinds of outbursts. I don't fault him for that. He is what he is... a dominating competitor.
I hope he will recover. There are only a few like him in a century.
Thank God.
The world can't handle more than a couple per century.
