Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis said he would have a hard time arguing if the school decides to fire him for his 6-5 record, saying it isn't good enough.
What has Brian Kelly accomplished? Three good seasons in the Big East? From the outside, he's accomplished a little less than Rich Rodriguez and doesn't have 1 bowl win under his belt. We all know what happened with Rodriguez the second he got out from under the pressureless comfort of the Big East.
I get that Weis has been a disappointment, but at least replace him with someone that's proven and someone who can handle the spotlight. Otherwise, give him another year and keep your eyes and ears open...
Schiano, Kelly these are not the next coachs as Notre Dame zero titles. We are Notre Dame there is no coach we can't buy, Meyer, Stoops all are willing to come to South Bend for the right price. Come on, you can't tell me they will turn down 5 million a year. Buy outs are a joke ND will get who they want never anything less.
Greg Schiano should be the next coach at ND. He's done a great job at Rutgers.
I believe that of all the people mentioned, Brian Kelly would be the easiest to get.

Brian Kelly is a great coach. He would do wonders at ND.

"Notre Dame coach won't resign but said he wouldn't argue if fired"
If course you wouldn't argue, Charlie - you get fired, and you get your remaining $18M. I'd have a hard time arguing that, too.
He'll sigh and huff all the way to the bank. Even if he never gets another job again, he's set for life.
Amazing how much of a drain on the coffers he's going to end up being. That extension he was offered after the "Bush Push" game was insane.
A private Catholic school should never play over .500 ball in any sport. No good reason, just fact.
Charlie, will you resign so that ND can get a coach that can get them over the hump?
Put your money where your mouth is. Resign vs. Buy-Out. I'm betting Charlie will not resign and will take the buy-out money and run.
