I do wish they had gone 6-6, though. I do love betting against the Irish in bowl games. It's so fun making money at their expense as they get trounced by teams that actually belong in a bowl.

Sorry - these guys are all Charlie's Guys. You can't blame Ty for this - he had a better winning % at Notre Dame Stadium. Ouch - that's gotta hurt to even think about.
They aren't winning any (Mythical) National Title without a defense. That defense has been allergic to tackling running backs all year - they just game up 200+ years - again.
I suggest scheduling East Tennessee State, North Texas, and University of Phoenix Online Team - maybe then the 9-3 "magic" number will be attainable for the auto bid to the BCS.

So tired of the argument that ND can't compete with top tier programs because of their recruiting due to school standards. Look at the schools who consistently recruit below ND (Oregon, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Pittsburgh...). Weis must stay! The only way for this program to fully implode is for Weis to remain at the helm for the next ten years. Do not buy out his contract! Please let Weis stay. An embarrassment of riches awaits you. Please tell the world you are just kidding. How can you or anybody blame Wies's failure as a coach on Willingham? The program was at a low point when Willingham came in and was fired after a couple of seasons. Wies is coaching the guys he recruited not Willingham. But do not worry, with the big contract that Wies has the school can not afford to fire him.
