Belichik's arrogance got the better of him on that call, and it blew up in his face.

Great and gutsy call IF you make it, but if you don't, it just cost your team a game, possible home field in the playoffs, probable survival in the playoffs, etc. Tells me he had NO confidence in his defense, figuring the offense had to win it, or else. Did over-confidence, or arrogance, or what, make the decision? Kick it away and make Payton go 70 yards...he wasn't having one of his best nights anyway.

Do you see how easy it was for Manning to score? Pats knew that he could also do that from 60 yards away...its easy to say now that he should have punted...but i would rather take a shot of keeping out of mannings hands and in bradys.

You're ahead by 6. Unless you have a RB and and OL which can guarantee you 3 yards and a 1st down - even though you're facing Manning - punt it away and make them earn it, make them have to beat you.

You live and die with your best. Defense could not stop Manning in the second half. If the Pats got the spot, Belichik is considered a genius. Hind sight is 20-20, when are the haters going to stop. I guess when Indy goes 16-0 they will be the hated ones.

Belichick called the "I Think My Defense Sucks" play on his own 28. Nicely done Billy. Nicely done. He is finally bested by his own ego.

No. punt, give them a longer field. That kind of decision making just shows that BB's reign is over. He still thinks he has the same team he had from the SB years..not so.

It was a good spot by the officials, whether Bill had used up his time outs or not.

Probably the right call.  The odds are in Manning's favor if he has the ball, and two minutes remaining - no matter where he is on the field.  If the Pats had picked it up - game over.  You don't want Manning with the ball on the last drive.

Absolutely the wrong call. i don't think that call in that situation has ever been made in the history of the NFL. They blew a shot at home field advantage in the playoffs and if they don't go to the SB you can look to this call as the reason why

Tough call for sure but WTF is up with Obermann...he needs to be taken off of Sunday Night Football. No one wants to hear about his politics...

It's east to second guess. Fans have no clue how tough it is to make that call in just a few seconds. Maybe he knew something about his punter.

Anyway, I'm still thrilled Indy won. Manning is he true Patriot. What a class act!

Never forget that Belichick had the guts to pull out all the stops instead of playing it safe.

Try to retain possession or punt it away to Manning with 2 minutes and 3 time outs? Both scenarios spell trouble, but I respect his decision regardless of the outcome.

Brady was trying to get the Pats up to the line quickly so to catch the Colts off guard on 4th down, which could have: A. worked and the game would be over, or B. made the Colts burn a timeout. Once the Pats called their timeout the situation where a 4th down play would have worked was lost, although they did come close anyway. Sometimes a coach should trust his player's instincts. The Colts might have still won the game, but it wouldn't have been as easy for them.

NO ONE would ever go for it on 4th down, on your own 28 yard line. That is just ridiculous for anyone to say they would. Guess they are as stupid and Belichek. Ugh. I'm glad the Colts kept their undefeated record at the Patriots expense.
