World Series rematch? Don't count it out

DeMarco: If you liked the 2009 World Series - and apparently, a lot of people did, as ratings were through the roof - we've got good news. It wouldn't be a surprise for both the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies to make return trips to the 2010 Fall Classic.

How tiresome these early predictions are.

We know so little about the eventual makeup of these teams next season, there are contracts to negotiate, free agency, why waste time now in speculation?

Although I agree with Hugh, the Phillies need help with pitching. Maybe Cole Hamels and others will come back stronger next year, but they only had one "stopper", Lee, in the Series. The Yanks got good starts out of all three starter's(except for Burnett's 2nd in the Series), and the Phillies don't have anyone to measure up to Rivera.

More of the same, the yankees outspend EVERYONE and buy championships. BORING. I could manage the yankees and win so the writer got it right with no mention of Giradi.

This really wasn't worth writing was it?  Why not follow up tomorrow with next years fantasy draft "sleepers?"

What is he called? J Roll?  Must stand for jelly roll.  So, he said the Phil's in 5, maybe they'd let it go to 6.  I guess he was considering the AMERICAN LEAGUE pitcher they got, Cliff Lee, and whether he'd win his first start in order to get a second.  Seem to me without the newly aquired AL pitcher the Phil's would have ZERO wins.  With that track record anyone who takes financial advice from the Jelly Roll would be an idiot.

            Predictions are just that...predictions.

Anything can happen next year, but pitching is the key...the main reason the Phillies clinched again this year was their acquisition of Lee.

If the Yankees 'buy' championships, (non)sensible one, explain last year's Phillies win along with Tampa's A.L. championship and Arizona in 2001, Florida, etc. Plus, why did it take almost 10 years for the Yankees to win another World Series. Can't explain it, can you?

            I thought so.
