"Size of the thumb.. the WHOLE thumb"! Oh gee, gotta throw the WHOLE thumb in there to try and compound the indecent as much as possible... such a friggin doper OMG what will we do... use him and Phelps as an example of just how rampant drugs are and ruining our precious youth... wutever big brother!
Laugh all you want, but how stupid can you be to risk a multi year, multi-million dollar income on an idiotic habit. If he wants to get high, stop at the 7-11 and get a six pack and go home!
He was speeding while getting stoned? I doubt that, he probably got pulled over for going too slow.
It must be a slow news day. There are millions of people getting high right now! So what if a pitcher got caught with a bowl, who cares! That just goes to show you that all types of people use marijuana to relieve stress and relax. Legalize it and tax it! Just don't drive while doing it! Dumbass!
LOVED ... "I doubt that, he probably got pulled over for going too slow." comment! Excellent.
Why is this news? And why is this illegal? Yes I know well the laws on the books, but what a waste of taxpayer money and police time better spent on the streets looking for real criminals.
He was probably speeding to pick up his pizza so it wouldn't get cold. As one guy said, pick up your beer and Pizza and get high, drunk and eat there. Why gamble your career. They never seem to understand simple things.
So this 25 yeard old accomplished man can NEVER be trusted with state secrets and can NEVER occupy the oval office...golly gee, I'll bet he'll truly miss those opportunities.
This is a NON-STORY that is so trivially meaningless as to be............
If they aren't prosecuting others for steroids-which are much more damaging to baseball players' health-they shouldn't be prosecuting him or anyone for this trivial offense, even though both are illegal. Such double standards!

Will someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the person who wrote this statement hippocratic? Got news for you. The joint is safer than the beer at 7-11. If you disagree, give it your best shot. Saying its illegal is a waste of a post so come up with something better. Unfortunately Timmy will probably get a 50 game suspension and be pushed toward rehab for inhaling instead of digesting.
Dude, I think the word you were looking for is hypocritical. Hippocratic is the oath doctors take. Hit that pipe one more time brother.
When the old timers leave political office, those of us who know the joys of smoking will eventually change the laws. Until, it is still illegal in 99.9% of the US.

His knees really won't allow him to be a day to day position player, the best you could get out him would be late inning pinch hitting duties, and DH for the inter-league games.
I do agree, SF is only a few tweeks away from contending against the Rockies and Dodgers tho.
Well, he can kiss any future career with Kellogg's good-bye!

It's not a habbit, it's a choice, and it's safer than drinking.
Neither is safe while driving.
If I didn't know better I would have thought it was a slow news day.
Hey - I hope the Giants say that he is bad for the team and trade him to to Yanks for rehab.

3.3 grams...
"with an estimated street value of ten thousand dollars!"
What a non story; a little weed, sheesh.
Hang him.

I smell a suspension coming...wait, that just some tasty sensimilla. My bad.
I love the guy, though...he's great for the game.
If SF picks up some hitters (Matsui???), they'll be in the playoffs next year.
Where are you going to put Matsui on a NL team?

This might be a story if he did on the mound as he was winding up for a pitch.
I don't know if MLB can suspend players for offseason offenses.
I am pretty sure the CBO states the drug testing program is only effect from spring training thru the end of the post season. I could be wrong though.
I don't condone his behavior or choices, but I don't think this incident will hurt him in the long run.
