I'm beginning to think it's scripted. They're making each play-off series last as long as possible. Big bucks for the network.

The Yankees lost two games. It is a series to identify who can win the most over a series of games, not a few games. This is rather standard.

the fact is, though you wont admit it, mlb needs the yankees in the world series. even yankee haters tune in to pray they lose. big names, best history, the big apple---everything needed to catch the casual fan. as with everything else, NY is #1. #27 YANKS!
No collapse could be as complete as when the Red Sox came back to beat the Yankees on the way to their first World Series championship, but watching the Yankees fold again would be fun!

Can't beat 9 players on the field and 6 wearing ump attire. The game last night would have been a yawner if Posada had been called out on strikes in the 7th inning on a pitch that was clearly well within the strike zone. It wasn't even on the edge or corner. That really upset Lackey who proceeded to walk the next guy on 4 pitches and then the fun began. If Lackey gets the call, as he should have, it is a man on first and 2 outs. No big rally. I see the men in blue blew another call at fist on Damon. How can they get so many easy calls wrong? Dr. Bizer should issue coupons to his "Vision Centers" for free glasses.
#4 - Fri Oct 23, 2009 7:42 AM EDTyeah and that call went against ny. if you rely on whatever fox calls their pitch tracker you'll see that a lot of calls dont conform with that little box. would have been funny to see lackey get tossed or at least denied the next close call. you dont show up the umpire. enjoy the win but the final result will be the same.....YANKEES WIN! boston by the way can now go on their next 90 year drought. we dont win for a few years, boston disappears for decades.

At this point, this series is either team's to lose.
I am still hoping for a Angels vs. Phillies series, as that would be the most interesting match up IMO.
