Lifelong Yankee fan- confident in the team but still worried about the Angels. LAA was the one team I hoped the Yanks would avoid in the playoffs. In truth, Minnesota bailed out the Yankees pitchers and Girardi's bullpen management with poor baserunning, and that's one aspect of the game in which the Angels especially excel. The ability of the Angels' to consistently go from first to third on singles is unnerving, and potentially disastrous for an outfield that clearly can't throw (possible exception being Swisher, who is often out of position due to lack of OF experience). Personally, I'd like to see Damon sit, with Gardner in center and Melky in left to help offset this potential advantage. Of course, if the Yanks bring the bats, then it doesn't really matter what the Angels do. Should be an interesting series; hope the weather holds.
I was reading your posting after two Yankees wins, how do you feel about the whole thing now? I am a Yankee, have been all my life. I know we're two games up, but we cannot relax, those Angels will fight all the way to the last out. I know we have to win one game in California, I would rather that win be tonight. I know we cannot afford another 2004 and here bout it forever, like we always here Red Sox fans in the boston globe. I hope A-Rod keeps it up, I'm glad he's doing so well.
I'm a big Yankee's fan. I figured that the Yankees could win in 6 games. Now I don't know. Sure they did real well in the first two games but all it takes is for them to choke a little and the Angels to get a couple small breaks in the next two games and then we are tied at 2. That's kind of the opposite of how its happening for the Yankees now. No one is really dominating the other. All it took in game 2 was a small slip-up by a pitcher and the game could have been over about 2 hours earlier. The Yankees shouldn't look at it like they won two, need two more, are ahead 2-0, but look at it like they need to win 2 of the next 5 games. Fresh start. Go out there and dominate.

Lol! That's right, you can root for the Angles, I know they are a minor league team.

We have to believe, the breaks can go either way. Let's hope A-Rod stays hot. Two wins that is what we need against the Angels.
