As a former Cleveland resident and fan, it's sad to see a former quality franchise disintegrate like the Browns have. It's not coaching (only) but poor management driven by poor ownership. Cleveland has an excellent chance of going 0-16 and setting new records for futility in the process. Until ownership changes, this team will continue to be an embarrassment to the league and to the city of Cleveland.

Oh here we go again...! When are you Browns fans going to give up that ghost? We in Baltimore were perfectly happy witth "our" Baltimore Colts (a NFL legend team by any standard) and do to the order of business ($$$$) they left town for Indy. We were high and dry for over 14 years!! You guys did the same thing, lost the team do to $$$. Get over it. The real Browns are still in Brownsville, Ohio and until Model gets in the Hall of Fame, your city will live the "curse". Stop crying in your beer and be thankful you, unlike us, did not have to go for 14 years with out an NFL team. The Ravens have no identity with the Mistake By The Lake town, especially now. The Browns are awful. It's amazing to me that there was never an 0-16 team before, and now we're going to have two in back to back season.

Detroit will destroy Cleveland. Modell killed this team when he moved the original Browns to Baltimore.

Modell did what any owner would do. The old Browns Stadium was falling apart. The City Decided to build the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame instead of building a new stadium. So Modell moved to a city that wanted a team. Cleveland did it to themsleves. It's a lot easier to blame Modell though. The Browns suck because the Browns ownership sucks. Nothing is going to change until someone with a brain takes over that team.

Personally, as a long suffering Raider fan I would have voted for Oakland if they had been an option. They continue to find ways to lose and how much more dysfunctional can you get than a head coach who sucker punches one of his assistants and breaks his jaw. I know they beat K.C. but I feel that was just a fluke with everything being new in K.C.

Ever since Synder took over the Redskins they have gone down hill. He is by far the worst owner in the league. Money can't buy you championships Synder. And for the Browns, ever since Modell skipped town and Lerner took over. And remember he helped Modell move. They have been mismanaged also. And for my Chiefs I knew rebuilding was coming they would also be bad. But, being bad and young go together. At least they are putting some effort on the field. Just a matter of time for them to start winning.

Chiefs fired a good coach who was rebuilding his team. They have a perfectly good QB for such a crappy offensive line sitting on the bench (Thigpen). KC took a 2 year step back in the offseason. What they need is an offensive line, then to toss out Larry Johnson and draft pretty much anybody who can run north and south. They should be using a spread offense.

But since they didn't do any of the above we will watch intense suckage on the field.

Maybe the Browns really are the worst team in the NFL. But I'll tell you that I am not a Browns fan. Sure, I want to see them win some games. But lets go a little further than that. Who has the best fans in the NFL?

You ever been to a Steelers / Browns game in Cleveland in November?

Browns have great fans, and sometimes they pull an awesome game out. What the f*ck is up with the coach pulling Quinn? I didn't watch the game, so maybe there was a legitamate reason. Just seems to me they have a quarterback situation where they are playing scared.

Anderson and Quinn both are good QB's. Pick one and let the guy win or lose the game like its intended to be played. Give him an offensive line for gods sake, decent RB's, and someone that can friggin catch. You have a team.

The Browns won in previous years with average quarterbacks (Bernie Kosar, Brian Sipe etc.) but Peyton Manning couldn't win with this horrible team. The QB's will get the blame but this is a horrible team from top to bottom. 0 - 16 is highly likely.

Sure, the Lions aren't Superbowl contenders (or even playoff contenders), but considering that this is a new season, and they've won one more than a number of other teams in the league, that should count for something. They've won one more than they did all last season, and there are a number of teams that are declining as the Lions can only go up from last season (like, um, Cleveland). Seriously, find someone new to beat up on.
