I see racism is alive and well in the tennis world.
racism? really? showing support for an ethnic group in a sport that until recently has been white-only is not racist. it's more like solidarity.
Having said that, the Williams' sisters have been dominating women's tennis for quite some time, setting several records (Serena, especially). They have made great strides for both women & particularly women of color.
Serena doesn't really have anything else to prove as a black woman.
Maybe just maybe, they will respect you once and for all! Go SERENA GO!

Serena: Show everyone who the #1 women's tennis player really is. You are a wonderful role model to all women. You are a wonderful ambassador for the game of tennis and should be respected for all you do both on and off the tennis court.
I willing to bet, the person who leaves thoes deragatory comments don't have very much money, education or class, probably lives in a trailer park. Serena always takes the high road. Keep it up we are very proud of you. I don't care what they say, no one can take away what you have worked so haed for. Millions!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can anybody be so removed from reality to suggest that Serena's brand of extreme arrogance makes her a wonderful role model? Tell me this, if your daughter was a junior tennis player and refused to acknowledge that an opponent who had just beaten her actually knew a thing or two about how to play tennis, would you encourage her to make comments like, "She hit a lot of lucky shots and I played terribly.". Or, would you try to instill a modicum of humility in her? Having said all that, I respect Serena as a player, she is clearly the greatest player of her generation, anybody who argues that is just a hater. I just have no patience for her sullen attitude after a loss.

I agree that she is a great player, it is just her arrogance is not acceptable by a lot of people, she never give the other player and credit at all when she wins, she never says "She played a hard match and made me work for the win" or anything positive about her opponent instead, she says in not so many words "I kicked her ass!! and whatever points she got from me she was lucky"
That is what pisses me off about her, she is a bad winner!!! and I still hope she loses against whoever she plays.
Serena simply gave an objective analysis of what actually happened during the match. All of the professional players who have the ability to evaluate the play of the game do the same thing. You, my uninformed friend, are thinking with the wrong part of your anatomy . . . it couldn't possibly be your brain.
Obviously, who ever wins between Kim and Serena will will the tournament. I'd like to see Kim continue her comeback, but you can't bet against Serena. She's just too tough in the Slams.
Serena is the best and a very competetive person. Competetive people find it hard to acknowledge defeat and that is part of Serena's greatness.
She refuse to accept defeat and works hard to achieve what she has and gets better each time with age.
Lebron James didn't ackonowldge defeat at NBA Eastern conference finals and who really cares, after all we all want to be winners.
Please Spare Serena, she is a positive role model adn you can't take that away from her. She is been to Ghana and other places in Africa...On and off the court she is done great things..Go Serena!!!!!!!!I wish it was all William finals...I am trully a fan of Venus....
Let's face it, Serena and Venus keeps us coming back for more. They don't care about the haters. It makes them stronger. They never say anything unkind even when their opponents do. They are 2 of the best women to play this game. Everyone HAS to step up their game when they play them or they will be defeated. All of the negative comments about them are unnecessary and they are still laughing all the way to the bank - are you?!
Go Kim. Win for the moms would be a great comeback story!
