And I don't know what the hell he is talking about when he says Mass. is one of the most corrupt states. Why, because it is liberal? Of course, when you are a right winger all negative terms are interchangeable with the word liberal.

Did you vote to lower your income tax from 5.7% to 5% only to have the state legislature ignore the will of people of Massachusetts?
Do you like paying tolls on roads that were paid for years ago just to provide jobs for relatives of politicians?
Do you like the way the Big Dig turned out, especially all the leaks, after being over budget, way past due date?
The politicians can't get enough money to advance their own personal agendas and do all of them help you? Or are you just glad to pay your taxes to help others?
You don't like taxes or toll roads? Have it both ways, eh?
I seem to remember the Big Dig having those problems under Mit Romney, another Republican bigot - no fair trials in gitmo - double gitmo Romney.
Mitt Romney inherited that mess from previous administrations, both Republican and Democrat, (all with a heavily Democrat-controlled State Legislature). If you live in Mass. and pay attention, you would wonder why the same old pols who stand for nothing but themselves get re-elected. A one-party state is a very bad thing. Republicans don't try because they can't win. Democrats don't really try because they know they can't lose.
Schilling is the worst kind of Republican: A social conservative who wants to force his 14th century worldview down everyone's throat. He's exactly the kind of candidate the Republicans need to wash their hands of. When they go back to being the party of Goldwater - the party of good, common sense - I'll consider their candidates again. I'll never vote for another Republican for dog catcher - never mind a Senate seat - until they stop pandering to religious fundamentalists and join the 21st century.

How about you actually care about this country and your state. Get a little education and pay attention to the issues someone would support instead. Not sure what you mean by 14th century worldview....do you mean actually cares about the constitution and will follow it (like states should decide on issues like abortion and gay marriage). Our current US congress men and women obviously don't care about it.....I would vote for anyone who would follow the constitution and does not want to make a lifetime out of being a congressman.
Anyone that embraced the idiocy, immorality, criminality, and corporate oligarchy of the Shrub administration should not be near an office that makes laws.
Oh, that goes for Bam Bam too.

W was the most incompetent president in the history of our great nation. He worked hard to run the country into the ground. Everyone except the super-rich is worse off. There are no racists in the current administration, just ones on Faux News and posting on anonymous internet message boards. Just because the President is black does not make him a racist.
Got to be better than the guy being replaced. Same goes for him being better than the widow. Or any other candidate whose last name starts with a K.

#6 - Sat Sep 5, 2009 9:47 PM EDTI don't think Ma deserves a good man like Curt Schilling.....is Ma really worth the trouble trying to get rid of all the no good and worthless goverment officals that the " stupid voters" in Ma, keep voting back into office every year....Edward kennedy for instance was a cheater in school, to his spouses and as a US Senator, but the best way is to build a wall between Ma and the USA, and let them start their own country....in 5 years it would destroy it's self and we could turn it into a dumping ground for the rest of the countries trash..............

There are so many unqualified people there now whom everyone voted in because of their political rhetoric and agenda.Yet people don't want to give Schilling an opportunity. He is as inexperienced as the President and several in the senate. We need someone to upset that applecart in Washington. He had the courage to continue playing for the sox in pain to get the job done. It says something about his character. He's a team player and he'll see it through to the finish. He is also unhappy with things as they are, just like the rest of us. What more could you want?

Schilling does have about as much experience as our current president did, before he jumped into office with his mystery backers, and at least he's not looking to be a career politician! We need balance in this state! Everyone all voted for "change", and look where it's getting us! How about some REAL change in this state - like someone who actually balances the ticket, and sits on the other end of the teeter-totter?

As sad as it is, virtually all politicians are on the take and are nothing more than lackeys for special interests groups. We deserve better and if we could take all the money out of politics by having each tax paying citizen pay $15/year into a national fund that would provide adequate money for honest, well qualified people to run, and get rid of the good ol boy network that is so damaging to the real needs of the country.

Our government is an arm of large corporations, passing legislation that drives business their way and eliminates competition. Case in point; the financial system bailout. Don't forget that both "parties" had a party with this one.
I'm all for someone with with a little common sense. The whole problem with the politics of this country is to many elected officials have attended schools where these old 1960's hippie professors are teaching their anti Americian views and these silver spoon feed yuppies buy into it because they don't know nothing about real americans.
