NY Times: To find the source of Tim Tebow's inspiration, it takes three days, four planes and two hours of driving on roads so bumpy they rattle the spine. The journey leads to Uncle Dick's Home, an orphanage in the Philippines so remote it has no mailing address.
Florida's Tebow yearns to make difference

Gosh darn it! What a Saint he is! Go ahead and give him the Heisman Trophy because he is the best darn thing to come along since sliced bread! I want my son to grow up to be just like him and I want my daughter to marry him! ENOUGH! ENOUGH! ENOUGH! TIM TEBOW!!!!! There are probably hundreds if not thousands of other college athletes who do as much or more for humanity. Quit making him out to be the second coming! I think I need to go puke after reading all of this east coast B.S.
East coast B.S., huh? Let me guess; you are an "enlightened" left coaster. How much are you doing for humanity? Lots of pissing and moaning about those who do. How pathetic that you can't celebrate the efforts of a decent young man who is trying to make the world better. Who's your hero...Michael Vick?
GO GATORS!
I am just so glad there is something more to college football than football. Tebow is a fine example of a young person who 'gets it'.
And yes there are probably thousands of others, so let's get them together and become a real force in this world!!!
Be well; Peace...

I think Tim Tebow should take on the International Monetary Fund...maybe he could "TACKLE" their little scheme of forcing nations to be poor. The world pumps BILLIONS of dollars each year to help poor nations...then why in the hell are they still poor...I am really happy for Tim and his career...he might want to take a drive to Miami and see all those poor people too ^_^ Maybe he can throw the bible at them. Soon the way America is going TIM wont even have to leave America to see a 3rd World Nation...I think the saddest thing in America is the fact that TIM is the symbol of America's Future...poor SATs scores....poor education...but he was the one who got the free ride in college....talk about enforcing a highly educated work force...I think that is why companies off shore those jobs to other nations....America needs a change in thinking not just color....nor do they need just change in their pockets....maybe if Tim wasn't just pushed through college and got an education maybe he would realize why these countries are poor.....but isn't America established only lying, cheating, and stealing?
Tebow, like some others out there, need to learn wen to promote their religious beliefs and when not to. I admire him for his charity work, but for his ridiculous scripture on his cheeks, idiotic.
I sincerely hope that the networks carrying Florida games never show a single close-up of him. They stopped the guy carrying the sign from being televised, now it's time to stop this ill-thought-out display from being televised.
Don't try to force your religious beliefs on others. There's a time and place for you to exercise your freedom of religion. (And I DO have a right of Freedom FROM religion also) I get sick and tired of the interviews where the first thing out of someone's mouth is some sort of thanks to some religious belief. Does he have that right? Of course he does.
But... What would you all be saying if he proclaimed himself a Wiccan and thanked the Black Magic for his success? Would you still be saying he has that right, or would you be like me and say that's not the time or place? Just simply stick to the game.
What would be the outcry if someone proclaimed to be a satanic worshiper? I'm just sayin'...
I enjoyed reading that...
What a great young man, we need more like him. He probably win the heisman with that move, because it has little to do with being the best football player today.
