Blah blah Blah. I played Little League 1972-74 and we all emulated our favorite major leaguers, even in pickup games. I always wanted the Williamsport experience but never got there. Let them enjoy their brief time in the sun. Kids who feel they have let their teams down do sulk on occasion, so what? The only point I agree with is that all leagues should enter their participants into a national registry. Kids do damage their arms playing in multiple leagues, but their managers obviously all want to their kids to play only for them. Their is nothing immoral or unethical about spitting on a baseball field.

Not all friends and family can travel to see the game.

My husband and I love to watch the Little League World Series. At least these kids are playing for the love of the game and not millions. Of course, keep showing them. Stop showing the money hungry Major Leaguers. Stupid question...

The questions ask in the poll shows the bias of the pollster. It is rigged to get a don't televise result unless you read very carefully. A yes vote means no don't televise. this is bad polling. Also, this is a silly poll made up by the office of silly ass polls, apologies to polish people no slight intended.

America....FAT AMERICA, quit whining. Who is to judge if they should or not? Who is to judge if there is too much pressure? What are we scared to let our kids feel a little sense of Loss? A sense of "Dang we lost the game!" Grow Up. So what if kids feel pressure, it builds character and teaches them how to control thier emotions within a team. For all the parents who try to protect thier kids from every single thing....your kid will be better off without you. Let them get out there and experience stuff for themselves. Worry about something that needs attention, not this whining crap. Seriously, who has the time to sit on thier fat butt and worry about useless crap like this? If a kid cant hack being on tv and getting his emotions together, especially with team support, then he is weak and needs to be cut, simply put. Grow up already, this world is competitive, what a better way to teach kids how to project a sense of calmness and confidence than with millions of people watching you NOT f Up.

I voted to stop televising it only because I'm bored by it and would rather watch something else.

ESPN has done an excellent job keeping the message on safety and good sportsmanship. They have even attempted to pull back to long shots of kids who have been hurt or are upset with the outcomes. They limit their interviews with coaches and players. This is a wonderful experience that puts the kids in their 15 minutes of fame. Leave this alone and let Orel Hershiser and Co. continue to do a great job!

This article was a waste of reading time I'll never get back. What is wrong with kids emulating the big leaguers - shoot for the stars! We all know only a small percentage gets there, so what should you do, tell them not to dream? Yes, a portion of parents are idiots that think the only thing in life is sports, but this is about the kids working hard to achieve goals, like eagle scouts, like musicians, they are athletes right now and it is hard work and FUN!! I grew up with the Big Red Machine and loved to play sports - just wasn't as organized for girls as it is now - and I actually turned out to be a pretty good citizen. Let them play. Let them be kids. Let them dream.

I can't believe how many stupid people are on this site, you have the option to vote "Yes, they should stop televising it. " or "No, its good to keep showing it."...and we still get people saying "yes they should televise it OMG LOL!" WOW.

TV is too much pressure? How about the idea that TV (and other media) are taken way too seriously? Fox "News" is a hopeless joke, as are the clowns it holds out as "journalists." No one should take kids playing ball on TV any more seriously than watching Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, and the rest.

As a former player, coach, umpire and league vice president I would disagree with the idea that little league baseball glories the chances to make it to the big leagues and does not turn out good citizens. If the coaches, managers, parents and umpires who do not teach their players about life beyond baseball and do not focus the attention on "there is more to baseball than winning" and do not stress to the kids what teamwork and comraderie do for one during their adult years than those folks have forgotten the little league pledge they take each year. Too many times I have ran into folks that are trying to live their own youth through their kids and it is sad. The reality that must be taught is there are over 2.6 milion kids playing little league baseball and only roughly 600 players in major league baseball and the odds of a kid coming from little league to the pros is very rare. The focus should be on having fun and learning the fundamentals of this great game so they can pass it on as future coaches, managers, parents and umpires.

I love to watch these kids. Their heart is in what they are doing. Their facial expressions are priceless. Not to mention all the fans back home that get to watch their friends. These are just games and ESPN is doing a great job of keeping it that way. I feel its great to see the sportsmanship of these young people and wish the Major League players would take some lessons from these young people. I Love these games and look forward to them every year. As a former parent of two young men that participated in LL and I sat and froze at the early season games and sweated later in the season these are great. Keep them on TV and yes I agree the question was worded very poorly for a journalist. Maybe she should go back to school.

All these polls do is create another page on which they can flash yet another ad or two. That's the whole point to this stuff. Just like with televising the LLWS. It's all about the money, and if you believe anything else, you're naive. Take money out of the picture and ESPN will NOT televise it.

If you don't want the LLWS televised, don't watch it. That's the best you can do. If enough people watch to keep the ratings high enough to sell ads at a profit, it will televised. It's that simple.

This is becoming more and more about the adults that are involved than the kids playing baseball.

Who gets the money that is involved, the adults is who and that's BS! I thought they were volunteers helping the kids become good citizens.

Good to know that the issues of war, political corruption, and universal healthcare have been resolved and we can now finally get around to investigating the annual Little League Baseball nusiance.  Batter up.

When I played LL, our coach let us play to our best ability. We had some good players and some (really!) bad players, but we were all good friends with each other and had alot of fun both during the game and after. I still have a team picture and the All-Star picture taken after the season, as I was the only player on my (last place) team to make the Stars. We didn't make it past the first round, but I do appreciate the LL Series broadcasts because I know how much these kids have gone through to reach that stage. Of course the losers will sometimes cry, but remember they're kids, and they want to win just like their counterparts in the BIGS do when they reach the Series.

There may be some added pressure with the tv coverage, but losing at that level is going to hurt tv or no tv and winning at that level, well tv won't make the thrill any better. Winning feels great. As faras the parents are concerned putting the kids on TV has little or no effect on them. There are deluded parents that think their children can be the next Tiger, Michael, A-rod, etc. in every sport at every level with or without tv. TV gives the kids a little bigger thrill. Big deal. Parents will be deluded either way. I just hope the money paid for the coverage goes back to all little league organazations around the world so all leagues benefit monetarily not benefitiing some fat cats pockets.
