Fans care....My opinion of him is certainly degraded, A FRIENDLY rivalry just turned ugly.
I just love watching him play so I don't care what team he plays for! I will follow him to the very end... whenever that is.

The best thing that could happen to him would be a standing ovation. That would screw with his head. Then the Pack could take him and the "Queens" and give them a good solid loss.

Edward - what he does off the field does not negate the fact that he is one of the best players ever to play the game. Off the field actions should not be used to judge a players greatness. No one is perfect and his personal life is just that - personal.

He has become a caricature of his former self. He is becoming one of those stereotypical former highschool football stars that keep trying to re-live their glory days. (Al Bundy) I think he can apply for his AARP card next year.

Darn Brett. For years and years and years, we enjoyed watching you play and play hard. Give it up man, PLEASE. Stop putting these other kids on the backburner. The Vikings ought to be ashamed. They're the ones to blame. Once he said he was done, that should have been the end of it. I want the Vikes to be a winner, but win with what you have already. He was a disaster with the Jets and now you're making the same mistake.

Brett loves to play. I love to watch him. Thompson and Murphy did him wrong. I hope Brett does well and the Packer players do well. I would like to see Thompson and Murphy retire. They have taken away my love for the Packer organization. Brett -- You can play as long as you want and for whom ever you want. I will always be a fan.
I couldn't agree more! Thompson can leave on the next train out of GB and take his 31-33 record with him. I'll always be a Packer fan, but never a fan of this management. As for Favre, I hope he has a terrific season (never bet against him!), but the Queens lose.
What legacy? He has no legacy now.
Sure he does! He is a GUARANTEED vote-in for the first Hall of Fame Ballot as soon as he becomes elibible. He holds the record for TD passes in the NFL, he holds the record for most concequtive starts of ANY QB in the NFL during the regular season ... The man loves to play football and would have been QUITE happy to continue playing for Green Bay if they hadn't traded him to the Jets. Even after Green Bay gave Mike Sherman the heave-ho he STILL played great football. The man is already a legend. I think any true fan of football will be there cheering him on no matter what color he's wearing or what team he's playing for. He already HAS a legacy and every single TD pass he throws just builds on a record that NOBODY will be able to touch for a long time!
And now the Viking fans get to watch him throw the critical interception with the season on the line.
Last game with the Pack, overtime, the game on the line, and the first pass he throws is intercepted. Enough, Favre ... go home.
What you don't think TJac is going to be throwing up ints? I'm not a Farve fan but on his worse day as an old man he is better than TJac. They have a chance at the big dance with him.

The highlight films and the record books don't and won't remember the media circuses that surround sports stars.....it'll fade away like T.O. and McNabb's fued in Philly...no one cares about it anymore...I think Favre is smart enough to realize that too...smarter than the average fan i'm sure too on how the system and publicity machine works

It does give more demand to an invention I've been working on. It's called "Favre block" - turn it on and any mention of "Favre" and the TV will automatically change channels for 2 minutes, and then return. Will be marketed as a way to control the urge to throw things at the TV.

I second this, I personally do not want to watch that idiot squirt out enough tears to cry a river greater then the Mississippi itself.
Bill, I love you! I am a lifelong Giants fan, but my husband lives and dies with the Pack. I would LOVE to be able to block everything Favre out of my television...unfortunately my husband wants to watch- and rant- as he sees "his" quarterback going over to the enemy.

Honestly, I am to the point I would rather hear stories about Michael Vick. Vick has his issues but he makes no secret he wants to play football and he took the first team that asked him. All Farve is doing is trying to milk the situation. I hope the Vikings don't win a game until they put his whiney keister on the bench for good.
