Jeez. Give it a break. No question he is not the QB of 10 years ago but this is the perfect scenario. He knows the system and is surrounded by some of the best players in the NFL and one of the strongest TEAMS. IF they make it to the super bowl he will only have a role not necessary to be the superstar. He doesn't have to be the superstar with this group just an experienced veteran.

I will be looking at his games and hoping he does well.........but not well enough to knock of the Patriots in the big one.

I believe Favre can bring the Vikes to a Super Bowl because of his determatio to win. Green Bay Packers were wrong for turning their back on Favre after he recanted his retirement. Rogers is not the quarterback they think they have.  I cannot understand Goodell reinstating Vick in the NFL after the criminal acts he did to those dogs. He should have been in prison for at least 5 long years.  Our justice system laws are lopsided in every state of the union. Vick got away easy. Two young teenage boys were sentenced to 10 years for criminal acts on animals.  The Eagles were a desperate team and took what they thought was the best for them plus no other offers came in for Vick.  Numerous players on other teams have dogs and I can imagine what they will be thinking when they play against Vick.

I like Favre and followed his game against the Bears. But I can't understand how he never won against the bears as far as I understand it. The Vikings wanted before he went to the Jets but Green Bay would not negotiate those terms. Goodell was better to Vick than Favre. Let's see how well the Packers do against Favre since they think that Rogers is a better quarterback. And I hope the Vikings win the Super Bowl. I also favor Mike Singletary coach of the 49er's. If the 49er's won instead of the Vikings I wouldn't be mad although I am rooting for Favre to win. I am a Chicagoan all my life and rooted for the Bears in 1985 but this is a different time. There is no more Ditka and McMahon. So be it.

Diane: Favre will not be sitting in his living room when he actually retires. No doubt he will be hired as a coach or an assistant coach for the Vikings while the Packers will be trying to still win a Super Bowl. Favre is well experienced in the field and would make a tremendous coach. He has a good temperment compared to some of the other players and has the ability to keep cool in place of being hot tempered. I do hope the Vikings win the Super Bowl and show the Packers what they missed by not retaining him. I cannot wait until the play against each other. That game will be a sellout.

Barring any significant injuries to key players the Viking have a very decent chance of going deep into the playoffs.
