Seriously, is there anyone out there who really doesn't believe Childress and Favre had this planned from day one? Favre got out of training camp like a naughty child gets out of eating his brussells sprouts..........bad daddy, Brad!!
To all football fans. YOu all should be ashamed of yourselfs. I admire the fact that he keeps the dream alive for kids and men of all ages. He plays for the love of the game. He always has. Listen to all you Packer fans. I have been a Packer fan since I have been knee high to a grass hopper. When he was bringing us wins, Ohhhh, he was the most incredible QB and we all thought we couldn't do without him, but when he was down and still on our team everyone said it was time for him to retire he was to old than he started playing great again and it was let's be a fan again. He loves the game and the coaches has faith in him more than I can say for the Packers coaches. Now let's talk drama, no we may let him play no we won't, ok lets make sure he goes to a different division. Who started this drama. Green Bay in the very beginning. Now you all cry wolf now that he is playing in the same division and your pist. It hasn't cried for the spot light. The media followed it around like dogs in heat they made a big hoopla out of it. I hope the Packers win because I am a fan of the team when they play Vikings, but I am also a fan of one of the most incredible QB's in the history of football. If he is out half way thru the season at least that is half a season he will be able to give some pointers to the QBs that will carry VIkings thru the coming years. Get off your high horse, they keep begging him to keep playing, maybe that is what gave him the incentive to come back out of retirement. I can't wait to see him play again. He is dedicated to keeping the love of the game alive and if Vikings want to help him do that I say go for it.
Oh please RoseAnn, you obvioulsy aren't a Packers fan or you would know that no one in the state of Wisconsin told Favre he was too old to play and should retire. Just the opposite. We hoped and prayed every year that he would come back. When he announced his retirement we cried and prayed that he would come back. Then he said he would, the mgmt team was ready to fly to Mississippi to work it out and he changed his mind again. The draft then came, we made our picks based on a new QB and then Favre changes his mind once again. You are also mistaken with your comments about we only liked him when he played good, we ALWAYS loved Brett even with the interceptions, until now. So please, before you go telling people they should be ashamed of themselves, get your facts straight and tell Favre he shouldbe ashamed of himself!!
The owners of this team aren't concerned or even care about winning the division and further on. For them, it's all about the MONEY. Increased ticket sales, media attention, viewership. The owners don't give a RAT'S ASS about the fan base. All they care for is having deep pockets. Always has been, always will be. Anyone remember the Herschel Walker trade? They traded away a lot of GOOD players for one man. Look what he (Herschel) did for the Vikings that year, and look where the Dallas Cowboys went, for not only that same year, but for several years after!! If they were concerned about winning, they would have picked up another "WORTHY" quarterback than this indecisive a-hole! How can you trust someone that can't make a decisive decision and STICK WITH IT?!
No high horse, RoseAnn, but you might want to check your saccharine level.........blechh....
I don't think anyone hates Favre.....the guy is a football icon, but he has done more damage to himself than any reporter, fan, peer or critic could ever do. He's become the guy you're embarrassed for, kind of like Joe Montana post 49'ers - just some head-shaking and what-was-he-thinking.......... When Elway quit after beating the Pack way-back-when, he showed he had the class and self-awareness to go out on the top. Brett has sadly left that option WAY behind him now...........
I think this is a bad move for the vikes. Don't they remember the end of last year with the jets he broke down after a good start. This year will be a repeat of last year he already has a built in excuss. The vikes should have spent the 12 million in free agency.
Brett Favre is the most overrated quarterback in the game, maybe the most overrated offensive player of all time. He's terrible, and it doesn't really help that he's a narcissistic flake, either. Good luck, Vikes, you are sure gonna need it.
I am going with the 12%. Now, what booze have you been drinking lately? What would you say if the Vikings do win the Super Bowl? They have a better chance than the Bears, Packers or Eagles. SlickVick is not taking the Eagles to the Super Bowl. Its only in his dreams. The Colts and the Giants have a better chance than the Eagles. Get real.
You have to be joking. The Eagles? You should know better than that. Why do you think they hired criminal SlickVick on their team. They are thinking Super Bowl which will not exist. The Giants are a good team because of Manning. Vick is no Manning or Favre. Get a grip.
Vikings weren't a bad team before Brett. With AD, a 5 star defense they are capaable ofwinning their division. Dont exxpect Brett to come in a "resurrect" this team, just manage the game and let AD and the defense take you to glory or bust. Suspect throwing arm, suspect receivers! GO LIONS!
Yes!!! Pack will crush them this year as Rodgers becomes the QB to beat in the NFC North. We've got your number Brett and now Title Town will NOT be welcoming you back. Plus our guys can't wait to catch - oh I mean intercept - your passes.
You must be having pipe dreams or too much booze is getting to you. I can just see Rodgers playing against Favre. Green Better better get out their prayer book that day because they will need it. Viking offense and defense is ten times better than Green Bay. Get with the flow.
I just can't see this going well for Minnesota. Remember the sad saga of Kirby Puckett? Before all the dirt came out, no one would have imagined or believed it. From beloved to total self-destruction.
4 years ago, if someone had written this saga about Brett Favre, no one would have ever believed it. This man, once so beloved in Wisconsin is self-destructing before our eyes. He said it himself "winning...there's nothing like it". I wonder how he will ever cope with the day that he does have to quit - and sit in his living room watching instead of being at the center of attention.
Favre never played well in domes, how is he going to play an entire season in a dome?? Or maybe he won't, he'll just need to play one game - against the Packers!
Favre is washed up! How can any true Viking fan have any respect for this man? Including his team? Both Childress & Favre need to go. Very dissappointed ex-Viking fan.
The Vikings don't need fans like yourself. They will do better now that Favre is their quarterback and don't be surprised if they win the Super Bowl. What will the Packers say then while they are crying in their beer? We should have kept Favre.
Seriously, is there anyone out there who really doesn't believe Childress and Favre had this planned from day one? Favre got out of training camp like a naughty child gets out of eating his brussells sprouts..........bad daddy, Brad!!

They will probably do alright, but I just don't care anymore.
Twelve percent think the Vikings are going to win the SB this year? I want some of whatever you guys are smoking.
I am going with the 12%. Now, what booze have you been drinking lately? What would you say if the Vikings do win the Super Bowl? They have a better chance than the Bears, Packers or Eagles. Farve is a major improvement for Vikings, but he doesn't make them better than the Eagles or Giants.
You have to be joking. The Eagles? You should know better than that. Why do you think they hired criminal SlickVick on their team. They are thinking Super Bowl which will not exist. The Giants are a good team because of Manning. Vick is no Manning or Favre. Get a grip.
Farve definitely makes the Vikings better, just not better than the Eagles or Giants.

Bamaboy, Put down that corn cob pipe. Did he make the Jets better?
Yes!!! Pack will crush them this year as Rodgers becomes the QB to beat in the NFC North. We've got your number Brett and now Title Town will NOT be welcoming you back. Plus our guys can't wait to catch - oh I mean intercept - your passes.

Favre never played well in the dome, how will he last a whole season, not considering his age, injuryies, etc.
Favre never could play well in domes, how will he last an entire season in one, not even taking into consideration his age, injuries, etc??
Thank you, Brett. Now being a Lions fan is much, much less embarrassing than being a Vikings fan!
We here in Packerland will never forget Brent Farve! May he choke on his first chunk of lutefisk!
I just can't see this going well for Minnesota. Remember the sad saga of Kirby Puckett? Before all the dirt came out, no one would have imagined or believed it. From beloved to total self-destruction.
