Yes, two Asians came in 1st and 2nd in the PGA tournament for golf, a great past time, but certainly not a sport. Hey, it's played in a shirt with a collar and buttons, pleated slacks with cuffs and a dress belt, and polished shoes. That's right, golf is not a sport. Also, in the previous major tournament in Scotland, a 59 year old came in second, losing by one stroke, playing against the best players in the world. Name one real sport, even table tennis, where a 49 year old could compete with the top players in the world. (Don't waste your time, there isn't one.)
Meanwhile, in the real sports world, Bolt, the Jamaican sprinter, set a new world record in the 100 meter dash: 9.58 seconds!!! Now that my friends, is a real athletic achievement!

Golf is a great sport, it all depends on your definition of sport. Hell, Chess could be a sport for all I care. Congrats to Bolt, but seriously, in 10 seconds the drama was over. At least Tiger and Yeng put on a show for a few hours.

Congrats to Yang on his win, but I must correct whoever wrote the headline. He is NOT the first Asian player to win a major. The last LPGA major was won by an Asian woman. He is the first MALE Asian player to win a major. Tiger will have to wait until next year's Masters for his next major title.

Golf is all he has known since he was old enough to walk and hold a club. That's is really all he knows. I have been successful in many things that he could never begin to understand. Johnsnap has that right. Tiger is probably the best golfer of all time, but not the greatest golfer of all time. He is a poor sport. Very competetive, yes! But a poor sport nevertheless and I enjoy seeing him lose and go away pouting. Yang was supposed to buckle and didn't. Woods buckled on this one. Makes the game a lot more interesting, suspenseful and fun to watch.
There are a lot of golfers out there that I would pay to see play before I would pay to see Tiger. I don't care how good he is. Arnold Palmer was not the best golfer of his time but in my books he is the greatest of all time. There was a man with class.

The smirky Woods grimace and walking before Yang's putt was finished is also another display of poor sportsmanship. At least Woods did not throw clubs like he did in the missed British Open cut. Wahh Wahh..
Congrats to Yang and this really is history, I hope the media here will see fit to show pictures of people's reaction in his home country in South Korea. Awesome victory to watch!! Solid win and I hope many more.
Awwww.....'lil tiger loses and then won't talk to the media....what a punk. I've never liked Woods and never will....and before all you "you hate him cause he's black" people get involved that has nothing to do with it. I don't like his attitude, his smugness or the way he acts on the course when he's losing. It was great watching Yang put Tiger in his place. So many other golfers just cower when Tiger is leading and Yang took it to him. I love the fact that Tiger didn't get a major this year. I'm also know the media darlings will concentrate their coverage on the second place guy Woods instead of the man who won the thing and took Tiger down a notch in the humble department. There will be excuses I'm sure but you can't use the knee issue any longer since he won his last two tournaments and has won five during the season. I would love for Woods to say that he was beaten by a better golfer this weekend. No excuses, no saying how if he had only done this or that. Yang beat him down the stretch when it counts and it was Woods who choked.....Beautiful Baby!!!!!
Y.E. played great. Let's give some credit where it is due. Too bad Tiger displayed bad manners by not letting him putt last and get the applause from the gallery. But not too surprising, since he's known for his bad manners, temper tantrums and pouting.
