The NFL, and all other major sports leagues, are never going to give Las Vegas a franchise due to the fear of gamblers unduly influencing pro athletes.

As an Eagles I'm excited and looking forward to Vick's contribution. Being a Philly native, I can imagine what  kind of reception he'll receive - if he contributes and helps the team win, he'll be embraced (eventually). Any funny business off the field and they'll run him (and Andy Reid) out of town. And for all the haters who can't get over the Eagles signing him and vow not to attend any games - call me, I'll gladly take your tickets off your hands!

Vick made a mistake" I am sick of hearing that. Once or twice is a mistake. 7 YEARS OF TORTURING ANIMALS IS NOT A MISTAKE. That is getting closer to obsession. Do we really want a player in the NFL with such a background? I don't. Vick, Stallworth, Pac Man Jones (just to name a few) should all be banned from the NFL. PERIOD. He served his time and paid the price for his mistakes. I am a PETA supporter, and I think that the public light that Vick's crime shined on dogfighting, and on similar crimes, raised awareness about this issue and deterred it. Everyone who serves their time deserves a second chance.

Michael Vick has done a terrible thing. He has paid his dues. If he receives a valid second chance I think that he will realize the terrible mistake he made and not repeat it. I believe that the chance will make him a better man. Look at Michael Phelps. Though his mistake was not near as great as Vick's it cost him dearly.

Comparing Phelps (with pot) to Vick is one of the most ridiculous arguments I've seen by the way.

I am a diehard Eagles fan -- but, for the next two years I will not be a follower. I cannot in my heart of hearts change the way I feel about Vick. This was an extremely poor decision to bring him to our beloved City of Philadelphia. The man is a brutal killer of dogs. I have to make a personal decision on this and to me winning is not everything - being a decent person is more important. Sundays used to be fun - Eagles organization, you have taken that away from a lot of decent people.

What people forget to realize is that he didn't just fight dogs, he murdered them by drowning, electrocuting, hanging, and by throwing badly injured dogs into pits to be torn to shreds by other dogs. That isn't a football player, that is a psychopath. Serial Killers start out in similar fashion.

Another nail in the coffin of the NFL's integrity. The league doesn't care about image; it's all about winning. On top of that, Vick isn't a good quarterback anyway. He is a better runner than quarterback, but you can bet he's coming in with the idea that he's going to compete with McNabb for the starter's job. He's suited to play a "wildcat" option quarterback, but that is all. As a drop-back quarterback, he is sorely lacking. Another dumb quarterback that can't read defenses. Sorry, Eagles. I can't agree with your move.

What I think is odd is how Vick is much like Tony Soprano. Both are sociopaths. Tony had no conscience when it came to wacking someone. Likewise Vick had no conscience when killing a dog. All of you are complaining about how Vick should be removed from the NFL, punished again and again. Yet...I bet many of you loved to watch the Sopranos - AND LIKED TONY.
Yes, the Sopranos was just a TV show. But your morals are not. If you don't like Vick, then why did you watch the show? Before you go mouthing off from your high horse, take a look in the mirror. There you will be standing there. You have to live with yourself.
